My televised sports games are rife with political ads of pederast-looking creeps smiling at the elderly. One guy was shaking hands with residents of a nursing home while the voiceover stated how he helped to block medicare and medicaid expansion in Oklahoma. If I could get away with putting my fist in his smug face, I'd relish it.

So yeah, political ads during sports pisses me off to no end. Especially in Oklahoma where they are borderline psychotic with misinformation and Palin-esque rhetoric.

(Please note I hate all politics and believe only in anarchy the way Jesus and Buddha taught it. I also believe the Astros can get close to .500 this year so what the fuck do I know?)

I gave a Rickenbacker bass amp I didn't want to fix up to a friend that wanted to get back into playing bass. The amp was a prototype from the 70s with awesome built-in fuzz and a single tube powered 15". 60 watts of tube power for those interested.

Anyway, I told the dude how it was rare and never to sell it since there's no demand for it and selling it wouldn't net near what it is worth in historical value. (This was right before Rickenbacker sold the amp division to Boss or Ross, can't remember) Despite me saying that, he called to tell me how much he appraised it at a local music shop. Which offered him, of course, a lowball price.

The moral of the story is that no matter how educated you are, or how good your intentions are, people are narcissistic assholes who believe they're better than you. I don't regret gifting the amp; I regret wasting my breath on the assclown to whom I gave it.

So I went to check how the Astros did today (2 grand slams since I know everyone loves the Astros) on Yahoo! and was greeted by a story on their homepage that sums up how the internet works these days. The headline reads "Viral mysteries revealed" and the description was something like "John Smith reads clickbait so you don't have to".

(I wanted to put a clip of the Simpsons hiccup guy saying "Kill me" but the only clip I found was 10 minutes long.)

Every time I have to collect from a business that has gone under makes me feel like a bookie. In freelance you get all types of clients. The ones you like that fold but still owe you can be depressing. It's worse than the ones that try and stiff you since those deserve the bookie treatment. I work really hard and give special treatment but I still need to get paid. Never mix business and pleasure. That is absolutely rule #1. Followed closely by #2; Fuck you, pay me.

I dunno if this is a thing in the states but businesses here are now putting spikes outside of their buildings to keep homeless people from sleeping there. Spikes. Like for birds. Even the birds don't deserve that, let alone PEOPLE who obviously have nowhere better to go.

People always say shitty things about homeless people like "Why don't you stop holding up that sign begging for food and go and get a job!" How do you get a job, when you can't shower, can't afford decent clothes, don't have a car to get you to and from work? I couldn't imagine being in their shoes, and I fucking work at Wal-Mart. I've always thought an amazing television show would be something like Adopt A Hobo or something. As viewers we'd get to see them get the things needed to turn their lives around.

It's just sad how people spit on the homeless. It's humiliating enough to be in that situation, let alone for everyone to treat you like shit.

Me and the wife were in Flint (a town I'm thinking people from outside of Michigan probably know) and there was a guy that was holding up a sign that said "Homeless and hungry. Anything would help." Some guy stopped and gave him a bag of something (I could see a banana for sure) and he ran over to the car so fast, he didn't care, he was just so hungry. Saddest thing I've seen in a long while.

I would hope so, but when you see its EA games it seems pretty plausible, but considering how i got Dark Souls completely free off the 360 marketplace it could be an error like that. I really really hope it is

The Koch brothers are flooding Oklahoma representative advertisements with the DRILL NOW mantra. In context, the infrastructure here is so fucked and fracking is subsidized. The police in Tulsa hired Blackwater-types to teach rappelling from a helicopter to combat meth labs to the tune of $30K a day. There are over a hundred unused Dodge Chargers, police equipped, sitting in a parking lot right near me.

The focus is on how "Obama"care is hurting the state. While the governor, Mary Fallin, flies a chopper to wherever her fucking face can be seen. God bless America. (Hey, NSA! I hope you like scissor porn)
