Re: Now Playing
I still need to try Devil May Cry but it still just doesn't look appealing to me. Especially after playing Metal Gear Rising, that game was amazing. Easily one of my favorite action games of all time.

Re: Now Playing
Even though I can see it happening with all the cool stuff ahead, it's going to take one hell of a game to pass MGR as my GOTY. I knew I'd like it going in since it's Platinum doing what they do best, but I didn't expect to like ti that much.

Re: Now Playing
I felt the same way, but a bunch of my friends goaded me into buying it, and i ended up really liking it. It's definetly no MGR though. There's no guarantee you'd like it though. A lot of fans of the older games don't. I'd say give it a rent, first.
Re: Now Playing
I was working on the trophies for MGR a little while back. One of the ones I was really trying was where you have to listen to most of the codec conversations. I don't know if I can bring myself to do it now though. It just ruins the excitement of the game having to stop and talk to every single character after every single battle.

Re: Now Playing
Yikes, that sounds like a pretty boring trophy. The only game I've ever loved every conversation in was the original Metal Gear Solid, but that might just be due to the fact that I was in 9th grade and I had all of the free time in the world.

Re: Now Playing
That only sounds like it could be fun in a Bioware or Persona game.

Re: Now Playing
I actually like the Codec stuff my problem is you have listen to it after pretty much everything to get that trophy a lot of them arent around very long.
I played the demo for Sacred Citadel, and goddamn that games fun. The demos pretty huge too lets you use all the characters in 3 different stages lets you use the shops upgrade equipment and every thing. You just dont get to keep anything after you quit. I need 15 bucks now.

Re: Now Playing
Listening to the codec conversations was the last thing I wanted to do in Metal Gear Rising. I only ever talked to Wolf because.. badass robot dog.
And yeah, definitely not buying DMC. I'm going to check that one out from work. Eventually anyway, I don't think it would be wise to play it right after MGR.

Re: Now Playing
has anyone tried the MGR DLC? I was stoked to get the VR missions free but it sounds like the other stuff is just the same levels with new characters/movesets

Re: Now Playing
I got the platinum on Going Commando, and I want to start a new game, but I'm still working on finishing up Ni No Kuni and I have a bunch of other games that I've started. I want to start Sorcery but figured I should finish other games first.
Side note, Zone of Enders is a pretty good game but really short.

Re: Now Playing
all vitas do that from what i know if you perform a soft reset sometimes it works, but i usually always end up holding the power button too long and shutting it off.
I'm trying to knock off Devil Survivor 2 and DmC on SoS now. Devil Survivor 2 i got to the first hard boss and god is he a dick. Has all that fucking range and i cant get to him without getting massively damaged first. Have to fix my party probably need more wilders for devil speed traits. DmC is going well its getting pretty cool on the higher difficulties and when you have most of the skills purchased on mission 15.

Re: Now Playing
I have been playing NOTHING because moving + teaching at a new school has knocked me out. So as a gamer I am ashamed.
This is also why the song contest has gotten owned...speaking of which. Woud anyone be willing to post up the polls for me? I know it's a bit of a cop out but I want the contest to finish, I'm just really super busy.

Re: Now Playing
Finished Thomas Was Alone. Very neat little game, the first 3/4 of it was really enjoyable but the last 1/4 felt completely pointless. It's a little 2D puzzle platformer where you navigate with shapes, not exactly challenging either, but thing that makes the game interesting is how they give the shapes a some level of personality. Would recommend checking out.
Also been working through Hitman: Absolution. Whoever decided adding a points system into a game like this was a good idea needs to be fired.

Double post - My mouse is useless piece of shit and I can't seem to find a delete post button, only the option to edit. I'm sure I've deleted posts before but whatever.
Re: Now Playing
I tried the Fuse demo and it was pretty run of the mill. I think it is safe to say that the other artstyle wouldn't have helped much if the gameplay was this. I'm not even sure what Kay was excited about because the two girl characters were kind of generic themselves.
Re: Now Playing
Yeah, it would have helped and I can see potential for a sequel, especially since every first entry in an Insomniac series has been average at best in my opinion. But that demo only made me want to play Gears like I said above which is better in every way. Still hope to get a review copy though, I'd love to review it.
Also hoping to start Ni No Kuni this week. It has until Skyrim Legendary releases to get me hooked otherwise I'll probably shelf it until for that. Of course Skyrim could just be the boring game of the two, but I have a hard time seeing me dislike it.

Re: Now Playing
I don't understand myself either sometimes maybe.
Anyways beat the dragon in Dragon's Dogma, The battle was pretty cool a lot more cinematic and ridiculous than you'd think a game like this would have. and now there still seems to be a hell of a lot left to main story after that even. Dear god i think this game is going to take forvever, but I am really digging the story its getting pretty interesting

Re: Now Playing
I'm thinking about starting up Sorcery as I type this. I'll either do that or continue on the LittleBigPlanet Karting campaign.

Re: Now Playing
So I've been playing Running with Friends. I know this isn't "cool," but I play these type of games on my phone because my family plays them. I do enjoy this one though. It's basically like Temple Run with Friends. Anyway, the real reason I'm posting this is the developer's logo caught my eye. It's Eat Sleep Play. Jaffe's studio that made Twisted Metal. I knew they moved into iOS development, but didn't know this was something they were working on.
Re: Now Playing
I'll check out that Running With Friends. I'm not a big fan of mobile games but I like games they put so I'll try it.
Instead of starting Sorcery and continue LBP Karting I decided to play Up Your Arsenal. Working on the remaining trophies I need. Only 5 more trophies to go for the HD trilogy platinum hat trick!

Re: Now Playing
I've checked my backlog...and I'm in one of those picky moods. Still chugging away on Earthbound...
Saints Row didn't really hit me, The Witcher 2 seems a bit...heavy for me right now. Gonna replay Bastion...and maybe replay Mass Effect. In a replaying my favorites type of mood.

Re: Now Playing
I downloaded the free version of Deadlocked they released for having bought Full Frontal Assault. Will probably give it a spin this week. Haven't been playing much else. Just waiting for The Last of Us to get me out of this gaming malaise I've been in.
Re: Now Playing
I downloaded it as well. After I wrap up the Up Your Arsenal Platinum I'm gonna start it. Wish Full Frontal Assault didn't take up so many GB for the Vita.
