Finished The Walking Dead downloadable game tonight. I'm rather annoyed how it ended. Was that the best game of 2012? No. But it did have the best story in my opinion. That story was more interesting than the TV show.

I thought the ending was great. The Walking Dead, not Catherine. Well, Catherine has at least one great ending but it wasn't the one I got first

I got the "True Catherine" ending the first time i played, and i answered pretty much every question the way I would irl. I must be a terrible person.

The whole time I was thinking "Well I'll get to the end and it will be some sort of happy." Wrong. I enjoyed it, just wouldn't have ended it like that if I was the writer.

Eh, that ending fit TWD perfectly to me. It was almost worst case scenario except for one small glimmer of hope which will carry us on.

I got the good neutral ending in Catherine...pretty much reflects my personality. Sweden.

I'm going for that ending now, sadly it's not as fun receiving the pictures without all the inner conflict. I really like how they set Katherine up in such a way that naturally pushes you towards Catherine for the majority of the game so it becomes more of a moral thing.

Yeah, I was kind of hoping it would kind of blur the line of it being was it supernatural, was it in his head etc...but it's Atlas so they had to spell it out eventually.

There really was no internal conflict for me. Catherine was exciting, fun. Katherine was boring to me. Getting married to your highschool sweetheart is so cliched and boring. I'd never be happy in a life like that. Like I said terrible person.

Honestly, they both didn't appeal to me in the slightest. Catherine seemed like a whiny, clingy person and Katherine seemed like a whiny clingy person. That said, if I'm stuck between the two I wouldn't cheat on a pregnant girlfriend out of principle.

I didn't really like either of them, but C was... kind of crazy. I think they purposefully didn't characterize them too much in order to make it more about your thoughts on relationships in general than which girl you prefer

Catherine seemed way more fun and exciting which I was all for until she ended up becoming batshit insane tier clingy. Was an instant "No no no no no no I'M OUT!" despite the fact it was kinda hot. Katherine didn't seem clingy to me but the constant nagging through the majority of the game was a pain.

I think the whole point of Catherine and Katherine was to give them both positive as well as glaring negative traits that would make them a less-than-perfect life partner.

It kind of is. Not to be mean, but I know many sexy women, but that gets swallowed whole if they are annoying.

She literally had NOTHING going for her. Especially because, and I'm sure many of you will agree, someone's outward flirtyness has NOTHING to do with their sexual prowess in the bedroom. But I think the thing that's interesting about Catherine is everyone who's played it does put a lot of their personal relationship/people experience into it (like we're doing now) which I suppose means it worked.

I think a lot of the parallels I drew to Catherine were was that she in ways reminded me of myself. Especially how i was in earlier relationships. Which is probably one of the reasons I was so attracted to her. I'd rather not go further into that though >_>

I think San Andreas described it perfectly by pointing out that they're both meant to have obvious flaws. That's such a real part of relationships and discovering what things you can deal with and what you can't. Because really, no one will ever be perfect. Also, I hate to admit this but I think I wanted Vincent to be with Catherine because I have been the younger and overly clingy girlfriend before. I wasn't that crazy though... I think.

Anyway I'm getting all excited to start another playthrough of Catherine now. I'll probably switch between that and Bioshock Infinite once I finish MGR. I'll be sure to answer all the questions honestly this time too.

If it weren't for Metal Gear Rising, I'd be enjoying Devil May Cry a lot more. Combat's really good despite 30 FPS, there's a good amount of variety, and I actually really like Donte. It's just 60 FPS really does make all the difference in action games and MGR is so much damned fun.

DmC is one of the best action games this gen.

.....There I said. Not the best mind you but it's definitely up there. I'd love to see a sequel. So much they could improve on and make it even better.

If my backlog wasn't so ridiculous I'd like to play through both MGSR and DMC.

Soul Sacrifice is the enjoyable grindfest I wanted Ragnarok Odyssey to be. So far the battles don't feel as epic as Monster Hunter. That can be a good or bad thing depending on your tastes. And even though the mobs are kind of repetitive, the graphics are great and the animations are pretty good. I haven't even touched multi-player yet.

Awesome! I need to do a little grinding myself. Right now I'm 16 light 14 dark. Was trying to let my buddy catch up to my level so he's been hogging all the saves and sacrifices for himself haha
