Beat God of War 3. Most of stuff up to the last bit with Gaia was pretty fucking awesome. After that things got pretty dumb. Still, thanks to Assassin's Creed 3's ending, it's still not the worst way to end a trilogy involving Greek/Roman gods.

having Zen Pinball 2 on Vita is a great idea. I'm out of town, visiting my parents and I made sure to buy the Star Wars tables before I left. Great fan service. I'm not into Clone Wars, but the Boba Fett and Empire Strikes Back tables are great.

I know I shouldn't be buying brand new games, but I had to jump on that Bioshock Infinite + Xcom deal Steam has right now. So I'll be playing Infinite pretty soon.

I'm gonna go to Kmart as soon as I get some money to see if they have the R&C Collection. If not, might as well get Skyrim or wait for a buy 2 20 dollar games and get them for 30 bucks sale.

Final Fantasy IX is the only Final Fantasy game that could claim "Bret Baber's favorite Final Fantasy". They're both so good. Final Fantasy IX definitely has a good sense of humor. I always got a kick out of them calling Steiner rusty.

Final Fantasy IX is awesome. Right behind FFVII and FFXII as my favorite game. I think it's also the favorite of series creator Hironobu Sakaguchi and I know that it's Nobuo Uematsu's favorite soundtrack that he worked on.

Amano's favorite character that he designed was Terra, but I've never seen anything where he mentioned what his favorite game of the series was.

Yes it is! Though I am only through the first world. I should play some more of that tonight.
Recently started up Dead Space 2. So far is pretty good. I really like the first game so im not really sure why it took me so long to finally get into this one.

I'm gonna add you so we can compete. Clone Wars is Ok I guess, but Empire and Boba are insanely awesome.
I've finally decided to start a FFIX run through on Vita. I'm digging it so far because not only do the funnies and graphics hold up well on the small screen, but the ability to "sleep" the Vita makes playing the game much more manageable. Last run through I did was on the PSone with the attached screen. So the jump to Vita's similarly small screen is pretty slight.
Thanks for the add. I own the game and a handful of tables for the 360 version but for the PSN version I only have the Star Wars tables. I'll change this soon.

I meant to say Final Fantasy IX is the only game that could challenge Final Fantasy VII for "Bret Baber's Favorite Final Fantasy game!" I love them both so much, but VII is the winner for me always.

Just beat Persona 3. I have to say, the game had it's fair share of imperfections, but I'm definitely glad I played it. I loved the ending. It would've been so much better without the PSP version's cheap presentation, though

Just added the Marvel Chronicles Pack for Zen Pinball 2. I really need to work on my scores.

Re: Now Playing
It's nice to see that other people are struggling with Skyrim. I'm going to take a serious run at it once I'm done with Bioshock Infinite (because there's a huge freaking void of new games for like six months). Now with all the DLC Skyrim is killing my completion percentage, so beating it will hopefully boost me over 90% finally.
Played the original Killzone as part of the HD collection. That game is actually really, really good, even for an old game. And the campaign is better than the vast majority of the recent shooters, certainly better than 2 and -groan- 3. But out of all those characters from Killzone1 why the farts did they keep Rico for the next couple games.
Also I played my first Lego game the other day. Pirates. I absolutely hated it. Literally every little thing I hate about video games and nothing that I enjoy go into those Lego games. Fuck what a nightmare.

I love Legos and like Indiana Jones, but found myself rather bored with the Indiana Jones Lego game I tried.
Re: Now Playing
I too tried a Lego game and didn't like it. The one I tried was Harry Potter. I'll probably buy the Lord of the Rings one though when it's cheaper just because I love Lord of the Rings.

Yeah but it takes a topic you love... and just bores you to death with a billion collectibles, terrible gameplay, glitches out the ass, some of the worst combat and platforming ever, and dull, silent, lifeless attempted cute story telling. I'm afraid to play the Lotr ones because I love Lord of the Rings.
Have you played Killzone 1 BretBaber?

I actually quite like the Lego games. I those parts that you said you hated, I didn't find them that terrible and really, the collectibles were addicting to me and I found the storytelling very funny. Then again, the last one I have played was Lego Batman, so I don't know how are the ones like Pirates of the Caribbean and LOTR.

Lego games just need to be played with co-op. I like them fine on my own because its kind of addicting to get all those pieces, but if I play with a friend they're a blast. And Neph one thing you may like from the LotR one is that cutscenes use the movie's voices rather than the characters acting like street mimes.

Lmao. That would actually be much better.
The cutscenes in Pirates were unskippable and it made me want to stab myself.

Re: Now Playing
I have played Killzone 1 Neph. Rather enjoyed it. The controls were kind of jerky, but the game had a good story I thought. Rico is rather ridiculous, he's always yelling like he's Kratos. Eventually I plan on getting the platinum for the game (halfway through the hard play through right now), and I'm rather disappointed they didn't include the online play. I think it would have been a blast!

Played Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon today. So far it's fantastic. Probably the game I'd recommend most with a 3DS.

I've never desired a 3DS until I saw that Pokemon 3DS. And I don't even play Pokemon.

Taking a break from the mind-numbing frustration of God of War: Ascension to play...God of War: Ghost of Sparta! Tackling hard mode, and just got past the damn wraiths that have been blocking my progress since September.
Got past it! HA! Suck that, Trial of Archimedes...
Also, Dead Space 3.

I've started it twice now—once on my roommate's 360 and my laptop. My roommate no longer lives with me and my laptop can't do Skyrim to my liking so I might try once and for all someday on my PS3. The thing is I've now done the same starting quests twice and I don't know if I can handle the boredom of going through them again.

I'm going to have a long work week this week so I see a lot of Vita time during breaks. Either Gravity Rush or Zen Pinball 2.
