Re: Now Playing
Me and my cousin decided to play Resident Evil 5. Would be cool if we could beat it in a couple of days while he is here, but that might be a stretch.
Re: Now Playing
Only took me and my girlfriend a couple of days to get through it. It's possible

Re: Now Playing
It is definitely possible. Until all of the fun is sucked out of your body and your will to live is directly tied to the characters you control (which control very badly).

Picked up NSMBU since I didn't finish it. I'm having so much fun, I think I'm at World 4.

Re: Now Playing
Resident Evil 5 took all the love I had for the series, threw it in a dumpster, and lit it ablaze. It even laughed at me. I haven't even thought about RE6...
Nowadays, when I want to play Resident Evil, I boot up RE2, RE4, or the gamecube remake of RE1. That is where the series shall forever stay.

Re: Now Playing
I'm having decent fun with RE5, but I think it is moreso just fun to be playing with my cousin who I only see a couple of times a year.
Re: Now Playing
I really like RE6 but it has a ton of problems still had a lot of fun with it though. I don't really want to play 5 much though i think 6 was good enough for me.
Re: Now Playing
I started up Bioshock again. It's still good. So... sue me, I guess

I like Bioshock so...yeah. I think honestly the reason I enjoyed Bioshock (the first one) is I got it on the bargain bin and LONG after the hype had died. And what I got was a so-so shooter with amazing atmosphere and a shitty last boss fight. Wouldn't rank as one of my favorite games but I am glad i played it. I've forgiven games for worse gameplay sins I suppose.

Oh yes... that boss fight sucked. Actually, I think everything after the plot twist should've been cut.

Re: Now Playing
Yeah, that would have been an excellent place to end it. I remember being pretty offput that the game kept going after it, because it sucked me out of it. On the other hand, I can understand not wanting to end ON a twist, but either way I don't feel any of the endings were satisfying at all. Because who cares what happens to your empty shell after Rapture, the protagonist of that game was Rapture itself.
Just a slow ass track through Rapture itself, or escaping to the surface much in the same way you came in with that overall view of the city would have made much more of an impression in my opinion.

Re: Now Playing
I've been playing a lot of Sly Cooper lately. Want to finish it up. I'm on episode 5 so the end should be near. Still not my favorite Sly, but it is a good game.
Also on the last dungeon of Dragon Quest V. Can't wait to finish it so I can start playing my Vita more.

Re: Now Playing
RE5 kind of weared on me. We only made it into Chapter 4. We'll have to finish it next time he comes up here. We also played some Buzz with his mom and my mom. And then we played Bocce Ball on Sports Champions which is just really excellent. I forgot how much fun that game was.
Re: Now Playing
Sports Champions is awesome. I should put the second game into my cart on amazon and buy it when it is cheap. My favorite game is disc golf, but really almost all games are fantastic on there. My complaint with that game is there is no online play. I'm assuming to stop cheating?

Re: Now Playing
Just beat Dragon Quest V. I put a hold on Persona 4 so I could finish this game, because I was playing Dragon Quest V, Persona 4, and Ni No Kuni all at once. Too many RPG games means you will not finish all RPG games. 2 of the 3 have been beaten, now I hope to make it 3 out of 3. Unlike everyone else on this forum, Persona 4 really doesn't impress me that much.

Re: Now Playing
I think this is agreed on by almost everyone. After "the reveal", the rest deflates pretty quickly. That last boss fight is a terrible, terrible joke.ajapam wrote:Oh yes... that boss fight sucked. Actually, I think everything after the plot twist should've been cut.
Anyway, now that GoW: Ascension is out of the way, I'm jumping back into other God of War games. Ghost of Sparta is awesome, but I forgot how awesome.

Re: Now Playing
Downloaded Dead or Alive 5 off PSN plus for two reasons. A) Jiggle physics. B) Knowing there'll be some irritating feminist who's against it. So I was extremely surprised when it turned out to be a genuinely great game, one of the very few fighters I can actually enjoy. Wish I got it sooner, ranked online seems dead.

Re: Now Playing
Playing Bioshock Infinite and Mark of the Ninja has mostly ruined Dishonored for me. I WANT to like it because I love Deus Ex, I love Thief and steampunk is cool but something just doesn't come together. The world doesn't feel alive, the stealth doesn't feel quite tense enough, your powers not as satisfying.

I'm glad you feel the same way. I just cannot put my finger on why I disliked that game so so much. On paper it should be amazing but it was like pulling teeth just trying to get through it. The world is just so inexplicably lifeless. Fuck me when it glitched and I had to play it through a third time...

Re: Now Playing
I've spent over 100 hours the past 3 weeks playing Atelier games and I'm nearing the end of Meruru. I also bought Neptunia V from Greenman so I'll be playing that when it arrives. I'm gonna be so fucking burnt out on moe and loli by the time Injustice comes out, but it should be able to restore some of sanity maybe.
Re: Now Playing
Been playing Pokemon Conquest. The last Pokemon spin-off I really enjoyed was Snap, but this is so great. It's got that addicting Pokemon quality where I can't put it down. When I'm eating, I'm playing it. Watching TV, I'm playing it. Reading has every 4 pages alternating with a battle. May be my favorite SRPG. Highly recommend it.

Yeah it's like...I don't know what they were trying for. I guess we just get spoiled by games like Bioshock and Deus Ex that do so well to create their worlds. I just wish they didn't TRY to make a world but just made it a stealthy game that just had big open levels (a la Thief). But Bethesda has never been amazing with their story telling if you ask me anyway

Dishonored was boring me so I started downloading Saints Row The Third. YOU HAPPY NOW, GREENMAN?! I also might make an attempt to beat Amnesia again if I don't pee myself.

Re: Now Playing
Started up Bioshock Infinite to see what all the fuss was about. So far its good but its got to do a lot more to prove it deserves all those crazy review scores.
Re: Now Playing
I'm sure greenman will be glad to know that I am now playing Jade Empire. I'm liking it so far. I'm hoping to finish it before I go back home

This is how you're supposed to say you're playing a Greenman approved product. Anyways, playing a game called escapeVeetor for a review. So far it's shit.

Re: Now Playing
What happened to me and Jade Empire... haha. Really got away from me. I have been playing pretty much nothing. Haven't turned a game system on since my cousin left last week. Not sure what my deal is.

Almost finished with Sly Cooper. After that I don't know if I'm gonna work on getting the platinum for Going Commando or if I should finally put some time in Full Frontal Assault. So many games came out that I lost track of that one.
