I like all of them, you baby bunting!

I like them all too, even the villains. I'd probably concur with Oliver though. He's so likable, and he has a problem that actually makes you feel for him. I remember being a little boy and having nightmares that my mom had died. Poor Ollie, least he has ol' Drippy, Lord High Lord!

Mine's Drippy, with his corny accent and slightly bawdy sense of humor. I also liked King Tom XIV.

King Tom is awesome, I now call my cat that meows way too much Meowjesty!

Drippy is without a doubt my favorite character. His accent and overall attitude is always making me smile. I wish I had a fairy friend like that

Puss In Bouts and Puss In Boats are my favorite designs. They make me laugh every time I use them. After that I'd say everyone in the casino personality-wise. As for the mains I like Drippy eh, baby-bunting.

Now you guys are making me want to find a Puss-in-Boots.

I used Mitey, a Puss in Boats, and a Puss in Boots. Oliver got them, and I never took them away and I never will until they are all fully leveled.

I want a Puss in Boats so bad. That was one of my first goals when I started the game, to get that pirate cat! Just need my Cutpurrse to level up a little more (I love these ridiculous familiar names).

I also finally managed to get a Rabbot to join me. I hope it's not worthless in battle, there's something so cute and awesome about a robot bunny in a plumber outfit.

I don't care if a character is absolutely worthless, my familiars will only be familiars with a visual flare.

Gotta agree. Even when I was playing Pokemon games I picked Pokemon that were visually appealing to me. I guess if I were playing the game competitively it would have been different, but... yeah. I want familiars with personality.

I don't know if anybody else got the Griffy familiar with their pre-order (I think it was exclusive to Amazon), but seriously this thing is a beast. Actually, it's almost a game-breaker. This thing is so powerful I pretty much have no problem winning any boss battle or difficult hunt on the first try.

There was only a couple times I died while playing the game. I like a game that has a challenge but doesn't feel stressful. This game had the perfect mix.

I didn't pre-order so I got no special Griffy. What's he look like?

I really would have liked to have Griffy but I didn't preorder from Amazon ;~; I'm jealous.

Also I'm the same way with picking my familiars and Pokemon by looks. No uglies allowed on my team. I just don't want anyone completely worthless I'd never use in a battle. I seem to have very high standards for my little virtual pets.

I hate pre-orders. I wish they'd do away with them.

I got the Gold Hurly and the Draggle as my bonus for getting my free strategy guide. I haven't leveled them up too far because I just got them, so I don't know how badass they are in the long run. That Griffy sounds like a beast.

I've upgraded to the blue one already which, unsurprisingly, makes it even more unstoppable. I'm not a fan of the exclusive items in pre-orders though. Hopefully, they will add them to the PS Store like other games have done.

I just realized they have Draggle for free on PSN though. I'm gonna grab that.

I went with the fire Griffy for final form even though ice has higher att. I just like the look a little better.

My line up so far is-

Ollie- Puss In Boats, Stressy Plessie, Catastoceros
Esther- Griffurnace, Astralynx, TokoToko
Swaine- Adamantiger, Clickeyclank DX, Elegantiger
Don't have the 4th member yet.

My line-up will change when I start farming for more familiars. Like right now I want to go back and get Girlfriend and Ice Maiden. I'm also maxing everyone out because why the hell not. So many cool-looking familiars.

Some of these boss battles will seriously kick your ass if you're not prepared for them.

I used Stressy Plessie and spammed Twister and he went down like a chump. Just keep running and D-up on his roll.

Good way to farm for the 250 familiar trophy-

Get a Dino(or anything with earsplitter) and main that on battle launch. Use veil so the tricky bitches won't run. Also, make sure Esther is in your party. I spent about 45min farming to no avail when I realised Esther wasn't with me. Yeah...

Isn't Esther the only character who can tame monsters?

Yeah, as far as I know. Later in the game you get a character that allows you to switch up the main three. I think he was just playing and forgot that he switched out Esther.

I whiffed when I had my fourth member and swapped him for Esther. I exclaimed, "Are you fucking kidding me" after I realised the matter of fact. My wife got startled enough to run into the room asking what was wrong. My response was-

I'm more of an idiot than you bargained for.

I then got a raised eyebrow and sigh as I tried to explain the situation. Fuck beans.

I've been there before. Anyway, thanks for the heads-up: Don't swap out Esther!

I swapped in the new character when I first got him, but by that point in the game I had already grown too fond of the original characters so I put Swaine back in.

Got the trophy for finding all hidden treasures and the one for 1000 battles. Still not sure how I haven't got the one for 2000 glims yet. I wonder if it has to be the character I'm controlling, and if the end of battle auto-collect counts.

I just got the 2000 glims trophy yesterday and that is well after my 1000 battles. So my guess is that it's 2000 for one member specifically instead of all members collectively.

Right now I'm 50k guildies away from the 500k trophy. I'm 158/250 tamed familiars and 58% in Alchemy. I've maxed a few familiars in level and am close to maxing familiarity on those same familiars. Haven't stepped foot in the Ivory Tower yet.

This is the only game I've ever given a damn about getting a platinum.
