Re: Now Playing
I started up Wind Waker HD today! Really fun. Been a long time since I played the game.
Re: Now Playing
I started Infamous First Light. Only got to play a couple of the intro missions. Seems fun though. Still love Neon.
Re: Now Playing
I was going to buy that today, but thought I'd wait until next week and see if we it becomes a ps+ freebie.

Fetch's movement abilities with Neon are way better than Delsin's. It is incredible. Haven't unlocked enough of the combat stuff to really compare them.
I just finished world 7 in NSMB U and this feels like one of the more challenging Mario games.

I've been working on finishing Saints Row 3. I think I'm almost done with Act 2. How long is Act 3?

Re: Now Playing
Started up Bully on Steam. So far it's great. Has the wonky 6th gen Rockstar controls and an annoying clock timer similar to Majora's Mask, but other than that it's a lot of fun. Good missions, a goofy school to dick around in, and fun characters.

Re: Now Playing
Randomly decided to play Dragon Quest 8. Still love this game, but i still can't fathom why they though saving at churches was still a good idea in 2004
Re: Now Playing
Oh Dragon Quest VIII, what a fantastic game. Just doing the story alone took around 70-80 hours to finish. That is the game that hasn't got the HD remake treatment from the PS2 that I most want an HD remake out of.

Re: Now Playing
It's amazing I generally hate this series but 8 is just amazing. It feels like one epic adventure the entire way through. I play it too slow though and and up like taking 100 hours.
An HD version with a few updates like making O cancel instead of triangle and adding a quicksave feature. it would be perfect.

Re: Now Playing
Beat Saints Row: The Third. Fun game, but like I said before the story is really stupid. I enjoyed playing it though, and at some point I'll probably play the 4th game.
I think I might download Spec Ops now and move onto that since Trip is playing it and people on here appear to like it, so that way I can talk about it with others.

Re: Now Playing
I think 4 lends itself to stupidity a lot better than 3. It's getting a "complete" PS4 port also which will be a good place to jump in when you get around. Game was awesome, but buggy as fuck and both the PS3 and 360 really struggled to handle the superpowers. Felt like it could benefit from new tech.

Re: Now Playing
Yeah I was thinking of waiting for the PS4 version. Someday in a distant future when it is $20 I'll buy it. I'd love to see them get away from all of the silliness, but the gameplay is still good so that's all that really matters.

Re: Now Playing
Layton vs Wright is great so far. Setting isn't as fun as regular AA games, but replacing the investigations with Layton gameplay improves the formula so much.

Started playing Spec Ops. Controls like shit. I only played like 15 minutes though, so that's all I've got.

Finally unlocked the shortcut to the temple in Spelunky. This game is the gift that keeps on giving. It's not just "easy to play, tough to master." It's easy to play, tough to survive, miraculous to succeed, and impossible to master in one human lifetime.

Finished the campaign on Diablo 3 and finally FINALLY took down the Angel of Death. That guy was an asshole.
This is awesome because it unlocks Adventure Mode and two more difficulty modes. I really hope I get to play with some friends this weekend.

I tried Velocity 2X and... it seemed alright, but I doubt I'll put much more time into it.
Hoping to get Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze from Gamefly today.

Beat Brothers: Tale of Two Sons. Can't say it was magic or anything but an interesting concept. Good soundtrack. Definitely a "wait 'til it's under $5" game though. No replayability and short.

Re: Now Playing
Trying to finish up First Light. Beat the game, but only have one dumb challenge to go and that's to survive until round 30 in one of the challenges. It's a real bitch of a challenge because if you die then you get to start all over. Only one more challenge to go, and when I complete it I'll be very happy that I did.

Re: Now Playing
Beat Layton vs Wright. That was one really fucking bizarre twist it pulled at the end. Great game though. Had some neat twists on the AA formula and the Layton puzzles made investigations a lot more enjoyable

Re: Now Playing
Nah, considering the praise for Fire Emblem I was expecting more as well. The story is...bad (a lot of anime fans call this "charming") and the graphics, well, I found myself turning off the 3D graphics to speed up the battles about 1/3 of the way through my playthrough.
Just remember, marry those little bastards for stats. Fuck love.
