Re: Now Playing
I spent money i shouldnt have on Smash 3DS and despite being kind of lackluster in the amount of modes it has compared to other Smash games its still goddamn amazing. The cast is really diverse, Zero Suit Samus is my main so far her specials are just godlike. Have not dipped into Smash Run yet though.
It might not have as much stuff as brawl but whats here is really damn amazing

Re: Now Playing
I'm playing Super Smash Bros. on 3DS and remembering how bad I am at these games. Wii Fit Trainer is a pretty cool new character.
Re: Now Playing
I want to buy Super Smash but like all fighting games I need to buy it sooner rather than later...and money...MONEY. What is that even?

Re: Now Playing
I sucked at Smash Bros. on Wii. There's just too much going on and eventually I just keep hitting the same button over and over again, and when the camera pans out to that really long shot of the level, I usually just start looking at other characters. I was pretty decent at PS All Stars when it came out. Also, I never had an understanding of what the weapons did. Some were gimmes, but others I was clueless about.

Re: Now Playing
I think maybe the point of Smash is that everyone sucks at it because it's impossible to comprehend what's happening or figure out how to play well. I dunno. When I play those games I usually end up mashing buttons while I try to find myself and wonder how the hell people air jump 46 times to get back to safety

Re: Now Playing
I usually play Smash Bros without items, where it's never too chaotic. Like it more because without picking up so much stuff, I find myself using all of my moves, which just makes for a better fighting game.
Also beat Bioshock Infinite again. The last hour or two of that game really is a mess gameplay wise, but I'm glad I replayed just for all the clues and hints they throw at the twist. It's a really well thought out story and world.

I prefer one on one matches with items on myself.
I also spam specials especially Zerosuit Samus's up and side b, and Peach's Hip Drop

Re: Now Playing
I used to spam specials, but one of my friends are too good to not take advantage of that. Why it's so satisfying every time I hit him with a full sword spin or strong heavy melee with Link.

Re: Now Playing
I haven't played against too many people, but i think I'm fairly decent considering i won a match where i ran off the edge and the lag wouldnt let me get back up twice.
I want to play online more but they need to fix the lag god its annoying

Re: Now Playing
I started up Wolfenstein: The New Order today. I played damn near the entire game in one sitting. The shooting isn't anywhere near as good as it is in Destiny, but the story is infinitely more interesting. I got it from Gamefly, but if you can find it on the cheap, I highly recommend it!

I second this. The level design is really great too.TheMatt wrote:I started up Wolfenstein: The New Order today. I played damn near the entire game in one sitting. Shooting nazis is always pleasurable. Are there nazis to be shot?

I used to like the very first Wolfenstein game on my computer close to 20 years ago. Watching Hitler crumble into a bloody mush was awesome.

I heard good things, mostly that it has kind of an "oldschool" vibe to it in terms of level design and stuff. I might throw it on my wishlist and wait for it to cheapen.

Re: Now Playing
That Bayonetta 2 demo is sooooo rad. Please send this game to me on release Gamefly. Otherwise I may have to buy it.
Re: Now Playing
I enjoyed that demo than anything else from this year save South Park and Titanfall. Can't wait for the final product. Also picked up Smash Bros. I tried holding out for the Wii U version, but I need to master Greninja before that thing comes out.

DLed Castlevania: Circle of the Moon and Castlevania: Dracula X on Wii U, and Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky FC on Steam. CotM was the first game I bought for the GBA but it got stolen. Never played Dracula X.
Can't wait for Bayo 2. That will be my next big purchase.

Re: Now Playing
Beat Resident Evil 2 again. This time I did the best thing ever, I played the game on easy. Not really sure why I always replay the games I've beat on normal or higher, but this time I really just wanted to play the game again so I did it on easy and as you can imagine it made things a lot easier. You start off with 150 bullets, and you get around 4 first aid sprays. Plus, it only takes about 3-4 shots to kill zombies, and 2 shotgun shots to kill lickers. Made replaying a game I haven't played in easily 10 years a lot easier. Back in the day I would have been just fine on normal, but when you get used to todays controls it is hard to go back and play a game like this. Might do the same thing for Resident Evil 3. I feel like playing horror games during this spooky month.

Re: Now Playing
I started up Dust: An Elysian Tail on PS4. This is a really well-designed game and I love the high-flying combat.
Re: Now Playing
I like that game but I just wish that weird animal/fairy thing in it had a less annoying voice and didn't look like it was intentionally designed for people to make rule 34 with it
edit: I started up Metro Last Light again. Turns out I quit just when I was on the verge of the game actually letting me play. Apart from the intro it's a pretty solid game. There's a few annoying bits of level design here and there, but the combat is fun and the writing is surprisingly good. It's no Last of Us but the enemy factions (mainly communists so far) are actually relatively nuanced.

Finish Wolfenstein: The New Order today. Such a good game. After playing Destiny, it seemed like the story was Academy Award winning. The shooting was fine, nothing special... but had some really fun guns to play around with. I thought the challenge/upgrade system was really well done too. It was also nice actually having to pick up health and ammo. Definitely one of my favorite games I've played this year.

Re: Now Playing
Beat Resident Evil 3: Nemesis again. Great game. When it comes to gameplay, it's the best game in the PS1 series. Having the dodge and quick turn around action really help a lot. Nemesis always gets your nerves going. I've said it once, and I'll say it again, Resident Evil 1-3 are all my favorites, even over the much beloved 4. Part of that really has to do with how corny the first 3 are.
I've never beat Code Veronica, so now I'm contemplating a play through of that.

Re: Now Playing
Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus is surprisingly good. It's a very solid and competent brawler. All the characters play different and great. Aerial combat is really cool. Tons of content, and an entertaining story and cast. It's also got a good OST. Fanservice aside this is probably the best handheld beat-em up i've played (Aside from Dynasty Warriors 8 vita)
If you can stand (or enjoy) the ludicrous amounts of anime fanservice and are a fan of beat-em ups I highly reccomend it.

Re: Now Playing
Steam had Tomb Raider Anniversary for $1.50, so I thought I'd give it another spin. Glad I got it on there, runs so much smoother than it did on PS3. Having a lot of fun with it.

If FIFA didn't come out the week after, I would have bought it. Now I'm just going to wait and get it for around $30 with the many Christmas deals that is soon to come. I do very much want it though.

Mordor looks like a game I'd want despite being a LotR game three years ago, but now I'm over anything like Assassin's Creed
