Now Playing
I thought I would revive this thread, considering it was so popular over on 1up (never forget).
I've been playing Ni No Kuni for the past couple of weeks and I'm really in love with this game. I think I'm nearing the end and I'm kind of bummed out. I really don't want to be done with the story. I think that says a lot about a game, considering I've spend over 40 hours playing it and I've taken the time to do ever single side quest. I guess I can take some solace in the fact there's a full fledge roster of K-Mart Pokemon to catch after I beat the main game.

Almost was done with another Mass Effect 3 playthrough, then that new DLC was announced. Gonna wait to play that then I'll finish. Also beat Vanquish. Hell of a fun shooter, definitely see myself keeping it on my hard drive to play every now and then.

Re: Now Playing
Set up my PS3 last night before heading to work. I haven't bought any physical games since I figured there would be plenty to get with my Plus account. I've downloaded Little Big Planet 2 but I can't get any sound when the game is running.
I'm currently downloading Guardians of Middle Earth.

I'm in the midst of Dead Space 3 at the moment - but I've also had this urge to try and chance down some Platinum trophies. I just started God of War 3 on Titan. Last one standing in my way there... Damn. Poseidon was a bitch on Titan...

Hades and Zeus are real titty-twisters too.
I started Saint's Row 3 again a couple of days ago. If not for Fallout 3, that game would probably be my favorite game this generation.
*Waits for backlash*

I can't fault you for the thoughts about Saints Row The Third. That game was so damn fun. If you had to pick one to call "favorite" from this generation, there are plenty of worse choices.

Re: Now Playing
SR3 doesn't do anything revolutionary, its just so much fun to play. The whole Volition being sold thingy scares me though. Hopefully they don't change SR4 too much.

Re: Now Playing
It would be a pretty dumb move to buy a developer, an IP, and a game in the midst of production and change it too much from what was laid out in previous, popular releases...
...then again, I could totally see it happening...

I hope they were too far in development to make any serious changes. They had such an awesome idea with getting super powers to fight aliens. I can't think of a more fitting way to make SR4 to 3.

Re: Now Playing
It'll be interesting to see how it turns out. If I were the new owners, I'd just let Volition do what they were doing. Actually, that goes for all the games after the THQ explosion. Will Ubisoft screw with South Park?

South Park I know is too far along to significantly change. It was set to release in May after all, seems like they just needed to bug test it and whatnot. Hope we don't have to wait too much longer for it or Ubisoft doesn't pull some bullshit like DRM.

Re: Now Playing
I've been playing Revengeance. Really short game but it's so fucking awesome you just want to keep replaying it. 3rd playthrough right now. Also working on getting all the Achievements, and trophies in Alice Madness Returns.

I freaking loved Alice. Kind of a flawed game, but it was a ton of fun and really charming in a fucked up kind of way. I actually am really close to the plat in that game. I only need to beat it on Hard, or Insanity... or whatever the highest difficulty is. Maybe someday... haha

I want to be Interested in Revengeance but I just can't do it. Its just not "Metal Gear" to me.

It's my second favorite game this gen. Yeah its not perfect but it's charm put it over the top for me such an amazing world and story. I have to clean up the collectibles and beat it on nightmare on both 360. and PS3 yet
I'd reccommend at least renting it despite the different genre it still has that Metal Gear feel, but it's just not Metal Gear SolidB.B. Hagen wrote:I want to be Interested in Revengeance but I just can't do it. Its just not "Metal Gear" to me.
Re: Now Playing
I have to agree with Kay. Revengeneance is pretty damn good. I am terrible at these types of games but I am having a ton of fun. Glad I picked it up.
Other than that I am playing Virtue's Last Reward on the Vita. Still loving it but it has so many endings that its taking forever to get them all.

I guess I'll grab it when theres a price drop. I really don't feel like dropping $60 on it.

It's worth it just for the boss fights IMO. Some of the best boss fights I've ever played
Re: Now Playing
1up shutting down hasn't put me in the mood for playing anything lately. Though Mighty Switchforce HD was 5 bucks on the Wii U so I grabbed that, downloading as we speak

I really want to get MGR, but school's a little too taxing on me this semester. Just get the idea my grades would be much better off if I waited.

I've got God of War: Ascension coming up soon, but after that, it's to the Pile of Shame for the foreseeable future. The Bannen clan is thinking of expanding by +1, so the disposable income is gone, time isn't what it used to be, and - to be honest - I have nothing left in my collection I'd be comfortable with trading in.volvocrusher wrote:I really want to get MGR, but school's a little too taxing on me this semester. Dead Space 3, however, is epic. It'll keep me busy for a bit.

Dead Space 3 actually tells you how much of the game you've completed. Shockingly, I'm almost 50% of the way through. There's a very really chance I could have this done by the end of
