Re: Now Playing
I've been playing the first Patapon on the Vita. I have skipped out on this series so far so finally making time for this little charmer made me feel like a jerk.

I'm playing Atelier Ayesha. It's a game about lolis, lesbians, and pretty colors set in an post apocalyptic setting that really makes no sense, but it's great
Re: Now Playing
Got back into Fallout New Vegas. I so wish there were more of these games, it's so much fun exploring a nuclear wasteland. Plus, any game where drinking beer gives you more strength has something going for it.

Re: Now Playing
I want to play Atelier Ayesha but I still need to finish Totori then buy Meruru.. So I'll get there eventually.
I haven't had time to play much lately. I did check out Tomb Raider from work (GameStop) but have to return it tomorrow. I got 30% of the game complete and I'm impressed, it's a lot of fun and I pretty much love the combat and exploration equally. I'll buy it when there's a price drop.

Re: Now Playing
Totori was actually really boring to me I couldn't finish it after the 3rd year started there was like NOTHING to do, and I got bored of it. Meruru was a lot better though it kind of gave you too much to do. Ayesha on the other hand just lets you do what you want, and I LOVE that. It's also not connected to the Arland games at all. Completely different story/characters so you can just jump into it if you want, and it's literally better than the Arland games in almost every way (especially graphics) at least imo.
And yes you should buy Tomb Raider

Re: Now Playing
The thing is I was loving Totori but quit because about 30 hours into it I realized I missed an event... and I could no longer get Sterk's ending. That was enough to take away any desire I had to continue playing. He is just that dreamy ♡ But I love what I played of the Arland series and would like to complete it before moving on to Ayesha.

Re: Now Playing
Haha I think i fucked up in Totori too cause events just kind of stopped happening might give it another shot when the Vita version is released, and I agree about Sterk but he's not as dreamy as me
Re: Now Playing
Spent most of my night playing Scott Pilgrim online MP. This feature should've been with the game on day one 'cause it's a blast. There are moments of lag and performance as usual depends on everyone's internet connection. I didn't have a lot of luck on the PSN version where two matches froze the damn game due to lag or connection. The XBL version went better. Those of us who have the game or plan to should get it. It's good stuff.

Beat God of War Ascension. Thinking about blogging about it. Not really sure yet though. If anyone wants to play some mulitplayer let me know.
Trying to decide what to start next. I have Ni No Kuni and AC3 that I need to get around to playing.

Re: Now Playing
On a platinum cleaning spree; got my platinum in burnout paradise finally...setting my eyes on Uncharted and Infamous next...then just that pestering co-op trophy in resistance 2 and I'm done with that.

Dammit, still need to try Burnout Paradise. I found a copy at Amazon the other day for 10 bucks, brand new but it came in a sleeve and not in a case. I'd rather have a case and now I'm starting to regret not picking it up.

I'm playing the HD remake of Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow. I've noticed some graphics and sound glitches, but nothing is gamebreaking and there's no freezing so far. The game itself is still good even though it's clunkier and more linear than Chaos Theory.

Re: Now Playing
Not going to lie. Spec Ops is a little boring so far. I've only played about hour and a half.
Re: Now Playing
I think you're almost at the point where it gets interesting. Let's just put it this way: Wait until you think, "Wow, that's really fucked up" before you decide whether or not to keep playing.

Trying to get through Sly 4. Don't want to buy God of War Ascension until I beat it. Currently on chapter 4, I think I like the costume from this chapter the most.

Re: Now Playing
Getting near the end of P3. Some of the main characters' story arcs are pretty good but everything else is a worse version of 4. Fuuka's story arc felt so tacked on and just plain poorly done, and one of the main villains makes no sense. I wouldn't say it's a bad game, but anyone who prefers it over 4 is probably an annoying kid who thinks grittier = better

Re: Now Playing
I like P3 a lot but it does have a lot of glaring flaws. Honestly it's to P4, what P1 is to P2. 2 takes the basic ideas 1 had and just makes them better in nearly every way. Though 3's still good game while 1 well it has an interesting story, but gameplay that puts me to sleep, and if its gameplay can put me to sleep while Shoji Meguro composed music is playing it has to be boring.
Re: Now Playing
P3 was definitely more flawed...atlus really really impressed me with how much they improved in small ways when they made P4.
Am I the only one who doesnt like Persona's score? They create great atmosphere but are just repetitive to hell

They could definitely use a few more battle themes, and some variations on the other themes as well. I think they're mostly great, though

I love me some Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory. As much as I like what they did with Conviction, I still feel the series hasn't (or can't ever) match how bad-ass Chaos Theory was...ajapam wrote:I'm playing the HD remake of Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow. I usually play my music on repeat anyways so it doesnt bother me.
Anyways i got Wave Race Blue Storm for the price of a McChicken at Gamestop. This made me extremely happy. Also picked up Hot Shots Golf World Invitational for Vita. I love me some golf games though I'm probably way fucking out of practice in them I'll probably get like +12s for awhile.
Re: Now Playing
Heard Wave Race was good, I've only played the N64 one so far but it was pretty fun too. Have fun with it, by the chance, ever play 1080 Avalanche?
Non-related: Also, made my first custom weapons the other day in Fallout 3, I feel so proud.

Re: Now Playing
It's great (though from what i remember quite a bit harder than WR64) i was sad that I sold my old copy. The one i got doesnt have a case or manual though, but for a dollar im not going to complain, and no i havent played the 1080 game maybe i should look to see if they have that next time i go in. Hell if its a dollar why the hell not.

I think it's the best bargain this gaming generation; I would say stick to consoles for the trophies or achievements but even on the PC, the ultimate edition has been had for like 4 dollars at times. Great game. Even after my platinum...I only had 50% of all the trophies in the game since all the additional updates (which should be free I believe...)

I remember picking up Burnout: Paradise on the 360 a few years ago for $5. I have never had so much fun with a game that cars in it.

Re: Now Playing
I still think Burnout 3 was much better than Paradise. Open worlds typically lead to boring tracks in racing games to be honest.
@Bannen are we talking current-gen Double Agent? I've only played the PS2 version which was pretty disappointing. I was thinking of grabbing the current gen version eventually

Revenge was my favorite Burnout. I loved that you wouldn't get a takedown if you hit another car from behind. Ramming into cars was so addicting.

Re: Now Playing
Yeah Blue Storm is a fucking bitch (or I've just got fucking terrible at racing games) but its still pretty good. I need to practice a bit and tweak my handling and stuff and I should be good, but I keep fucking losing now.
Re: Now Playing
I heard that there was this funny easter egg in Blue Storm, the announcer makes sarcastic comments at stuff and the stuff you do in the game. Not sure if you know it but if you don't, might be worth a look.
