Anticipated Games

My only vague glimmer of hope is that the director's original intentions for the game still pan out.

Again, I'm expecting little, but hoping for a lot.

What thread do we want? Describe your dream game? We did have that on the old forum, but we could do it again.

Finding it hard to stay excited about a new Smash Bros after they said they're omitting characters due to time constraints. I'm sorry, but isn't Nintendo based on Miyamoto's idea that being late is always better than being bad?

They are actually doing that because of the 3DS and it's limitations, which I understand but sucks. I still wouldn't mind a delay for it.

Besides, 3DS is about as powerful as the Wii and Gamecube versions, so there's no reason for it to make the roster smaller.

I think he said they want make sure both the 3DS and Wii U version has the same amounts of characters.

But they can easily fix this with dlc.

@Trip- Yeah, but this one is outsourced to Namco so it's not really Nintendo being lazy. No online MP for Mario 3D World on the other hand...
@Caps- That doesn't necessarily mean that the 3DS would cause fewer characters than the last two games though, it means they can't expand the roster too far.That they can't add tons of 3rd party characters is what I got from that article. Like I said before, 3DS is about on par with Wii and Gamecube, so technical limitations causing a smaller roster than those two makes no sense. Time restraints are the only thing that can cause that.

How is outsourcing not lazy?

There's such a thing called limited resources when you're making a dozen other games. I'm not saying they should have outsourced it, but they have a lot of games in development, so maybe something had to get outsourced. This comes off more as desperation to get Smash Bros out as soon as they can so it can push Wii Us.

That's the feeling I'm getting from it, it happened with 3DLand for the 3DS. And the other reason Namco is developing it because they apparently didn't get HAL Laboratories this time to develop it. Plus it could of been worse, they could of chosen Capcom. But I'm actually surprised they allowed Megaman in the game.

I'm pretty excited too even though I've never played the first two games. I'm just hoping for an amazing story like in Nier. That CE looks so hot and tempting but I know in my heart I can't afford to import that haha.

They lost me at mini-games. Then they had me again at heists and revamped mechanics. Also the world looks great. I might actually get this

So the new Ratchet and Clank is called into the Nexus, won't have any gimmicks like A4O and FFA, will be $30, comes out this fall, and best of all has a gun that turns enemies into snowmen while playing fucking Jingle Bells. Here's the trailer.

Right to the top of my most anticipated games list. Looks excellent. And I'm probably the only one who cares, but Talwyn is back. I was a little miffed she wasn't in ACiT after being a big part of the previous Future games.

Edit: What a "final" (before PS4 launch at least, Sony consoles last longer obviously) year the PS3 is having with tons of games still coming. Supposedly LittleBigPlanet 3 is also coming to PS3 at some point.

The voiceover is one of the new villains. But Insomniac confirmed that Talwyn, Cronk and Zephyr would be back!

It sounds like it'll be shorter than ToD or ACiT, but at least it's a regular entry. And it's not $15 so it shouldn't be stupidly short like Quest for Booty. This reminds me I just picked up the collection... I should play that

Flashback is getting a remake. It looks very, very similar to the first from the video I saw. If you haven't played the SNES original, it's worth investigating. It was one of my favorite SNES games. One can easily find it for Kay's favorite flightless demon-bird (or emu) if you don't have a SNES.

Game Informer states in their E3 issue that the only version of Arkham Origins: Blackgate they covered was Vita. I'm hoping this means it's getting the attention it deserves rather than a lazy 3DS port.
