Anticipated Games

I'm looking forward to seeing more of Monolith Soft's new game too, it looked amazing. But if it's another monster hunting game I swear I'm throwing my Wii U out the window.

I'm REALLY hoping Transistor comes to Vita and PS3.

Trailer for Sonic: Lost Worlds, and I got to say, it looks like a Sonic styled Galaxy game, but the truth is, it also seems like Sonic Xtreme, an unreleased Sonic game.

I'd like to see a deal for Rayman Legends on Vita where it's bundled with origins. That's something worth MSRP on launch.

Tales of Symphonia 10th anniversary is coming stateside 2014.

That would be so awesome. Tales of Symphonia was my favorite third-party Gamecube game and is still one of my favorite overall games. I still have the artbook I got as a preorder bonus back in 2004. I've got the Tales of Xillia CE reserved at Gamestop, and I kick myself for not doing the same with Vesperia.

That's a game I got for my friend who had a gamecube and always wanted to play it....maybe I'll check it out

I heard there was a PS2 and GCN version of it, so what's the difference? I ask because I want to give it a spin at some point on the PS3.

I agree, Symphonia HD will have all the extras (I think a new themse song, new costumes, and a new scenario were added). Nintendo moneyhatted the Gamecube version for the US, which precluded a PS2 re-release.

On an interesting note, Sega is localizing and releasing Hatsune Miku: Project Diva for the PS3 in August. Good to see them taking a chance on US releases for oddball games like this. It's even getting a retail release alongside a PSN release. I'll probably bite on the retail release just to give it a shot.

YES!! HATSUNE MIKU ♡ I'm so excited Project Diva is actually getting a western release. I never thought I'd see the day. I hope it sells well enough and my days of having to import are over. That gets expensive.

Glad I could brighten everyone's day. For my part, it will be an interesting addition to my library, if nothing else. Last rhythm game I bought was Parappa the Rapper on PS1.

There's actually a chance Miku might be a dlc character for Sonic All-Stars Racing Transformed, based on a poll. And if she wins, well I'm the one to thank or blame here lol

There's a demo of the Miku game coming on June 11.

I'm calling it now, going to end up reviewing Miku for the site. Just seems like the kind of game I'd end up with.

Wasn't let down by the iPhone game. They announced the announcement a day or two before it so I wasn't expecting a proper sequel.

Watched the new FFXIII game trailer (Lightning Returns).

First thought, bit where she dramatically rips off her sunglasses...HILARIOUS. Second thought, surely if we WANTED to return to FFXIII's interesting (cough) world fans would have said so. It's like every time they release another FFXIII game they're trying to apologize for FFXIII...by making another game in the same universe.

Just move on to the next numbered game Square.

Third, can't Square afford to hire better voice actors than that? Well, maybe not actually.

I hope the new Thief is a sneaky Skyrim with Arkham elements. That would be a dream game for me. If anyone here hasn't played a Thief game, I suggest picking one up through Steam, Amazon, GoG, etc. I bought the trilogy through Steam on the cheap during a bundle sale. GoG has the OG for $5.

Hmmm...perfect game would make a good topic...someone should get on that. Not it!

Thief 2 is the shit. I bet they wont stick with the misanthropic Garret though, they'll make him all "likeable" and or "badass"

It just frustrates me that they sunk hundreds of development people and time and money into projects that fans weren't really asking for. 

Like, wouldn't you have been happier if they just aid "right, lessons learned from XIII, let's go ahead and make the next game in the series and fix them then" instead of essentially making 2 more games in the series to apologize for XIII. That said, and the cynic in me says to be cautious, but with KH3 and FFXV being announced it might just be saying that Square has realized that their fans want them to continue making their big entries again instead of spin offs. Hopefully they can rise again as a developer. Not holding my breath, but if you guys know me at all, I'm a cynic but I'm happy when I'm proved wrong.

Also, based on how much you guys said you liked it (though I've read none of the thread) I went ahead and got The Last of Us. Wont be seeing it for quite some time but ohw elly. I've managed to avoid what can only be called the deluge of gameplay videos, trailers and content written on the story so it will be pretty much without expectations of any kind. So I'm excited.

The FF series lost me with 12. I loved 11 and sunk many hours into it. 12 was essentially the same as 11 but single player. I purchased 13 but never played it. Flipped it and never went back. Even Crises Core was meh.

Oh, Amazon sent me an email saying the Amano FF book is now releasing August 6th with release day delivery. I may post a link in the heads up thread if anyone gives a shit.
