Anticipated Games
Far Cry 4 is so close!!! Going to try and get it at midnight. Looking forward to LBP3 this week too.
Big week for games, what is everyone else picking up?

Re: Anticipated Games
Smash Bros, Pokemon, and Dragon Age for me. Seriously, Pokemon and Bioware on the same week as my birthday means someone out there likes me.

Far Cry 4 looks cool, I'm tempted to wait for Dragon Age until I get a new console but...might be a Christmas thing now.
Finally some games I'm looking forward to!

Re: Anticipated Games
It's been a while since I've been truly hyped for a game. And finally playing a game like that is always a great feeling. Also a dad and his kid were also getting FC4 at midnight and we chatted a bit about our excitement for elephant riding and crossbows.
Re: Anticipated Games
Hahaha. For some reason when you say "kid" I imagine an awesome 8 year old and you talking elephant riding/crossbow strategy.

Re: Anticipated Games
I may be the only one on here excited for this but this just made my day!
And speaking of today, its out today! I have had some Fibbage parties lately and we've burned though all the questions. The game is an absolute blast and with 4 other games packaged in, along with more Fibbage questions... what a deal!!! Having your phone/tablet be the controller is one of the most intuitive things I have seen in gaming. Its so easy to have people drop in and out of the game. I can't wait to download this later!

Re: Anticipated Games
Bunch of announcements today like Super Stardust coming to PS4, new Resogun DLC and Street Fighter 5. The Resogun DLC looks really cool. I bought the Season pass already since it was only a couple dollars more than the first DLC pack.
Re: Anticipated Games
Since the 3DS port of Ocarina of Time has nearly disappeared from Amazon (which I really wanted to play) I might end up buying Majora's Mask 3D new before it disappears. Stupid Nintendo, your supply and demand system WORKS. Much like Disney when the remove things from "the vault". It's stupid, you know what they're doing, but it works.

Re: Anticipated Games
Is it really that hard to find? It's on amazon.ca for under $40... I never know when I should buy Nintendo games. Wait long enough and they might be cheap, wait too long and they'll be gone forver

Re: Anticipated Games
I think it's less Nintendo and more Amazon. OoT is stocked plenty everywhere else, but I've seen Amazon stop stocking Nintendo games long before everyone else does plenty of times.

Yikes, guess I was wrong actually. http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2015/01/ocarina_of_time_3d_reportedly_no_longer_in_production
They could at least put it up digitally if they're going to do that. How much effort would that take?

Re: Anticipated Games
For anyone that has played it how well does it play on the 3DS? Â Never beat the game. Stopped at the water temple and too confusing to start back up. If it controls well I might look to buy one.

Controls are mostly the same, but that game already looked and played really well. And it offers you hints for the Water Temple this time if you run into any trouble.

I WANTED IT! I don't know why they don't release it digitally, I would buy it and they can fix their price.

Re: Anticipated Games
I just stopped playing when I got there for whatever reason. When I tried to start playing again I forgot what I was doing in all facets of the game. Trickiest dungeon didn't help anything either.

Re: Anticipated Games
I rarely get all that hyped up by trailers anymore but the new Persona 5 trailer is just too cool. I've been watching it all morning.
Even just screenshots of the menus would've gotten me excited. They're just oozing with style

Re: Anticipated Games
I was trying to contain my hype for this game... but as AJ said... it looks amazing. The trailer shows off so much of what the game is going to look like. Definitely ready for more Persona... I could just go play Persona 3, which I've never finished... but man I just can't get into that game.

Re: Anticipated Games
I'm definitely more interested in that trailer. What they showed of the cast makes them seem fun and the dungeons look like they have some really creative design choices as opposed to just running around

Re: Anticipated Games
in terms of style it looks like Persona 4 if it was directed by Suda 51. It's got vibes from old Persona (1 and 2) new Persona, and even mainline SMT going for it. This kind of feels like the second coming of Drakengard 3 for me. Its perfect.
If i get a good tax refund im gonna buy a ps4 for it. God help me

Re: Anticipated Games
I'm definitely a fan of the old Persona vibes Kay mentioned. I would've loved Innocent Sin but it felt like I had so little time in between battles. I ended up giving up after a while
I think people are going way overboard with the idea that it won't have social links, though. Yeah, that's not gonna happen. I'm expecting some changes to the formula and that's it

Re: Anticipated Games
The Persona team has always been exceptionally good at that "fix what's broke, leave what isn't" philosophy that makes even their remasters of old games worth playing again.

Re: Anticipated Games
People see the menus and see no "S.Link" and think that means they wont be there, but no one even realizes they are called "COMMU" not S.Link in japan. "Cooperation" is most likely the S.Link menu.
I just can't see them keeping the day, and school mechanics (which are obviously still there) without some kind of social mechanic. The social sim stuff is what put Persona on the map it caught peoples attention cause it was different. I see no reason why they would change that.

Re: Anticipated Games
They might have modified it but they wouldn't get rid of it. Maybe it's not quite as time specific, I hope that actual school life maybe has more prevalence too.

I hope they at least fixed those generic "you and so-and-so hung out" scenes. Those are so unfulfilling
