The music poll this sticks out oddly. My eyes are displeased!

Mine too. I wis hthe nested forums would be well...nested and not these ugly jutting things. Shame =(

I would suggest making more subforums but if they all stick out like that it kidn of defeats the purpose.

Yeah I'll try and mess with them some more. it doesn't seem very nice anyway I've tried though. I'd prefer to remove the music one from the front page myself, but didn't want to hide it away on people either.

Can you link me to a forum with the nested look you describe though for the heck of it?

Well, take Penny Arcade's Forums, but I suppose they don't nest they just have several topic heads (general, video games etc) and then have subforums under those. It's a clean look, that.

That looks much better! Don't worry, I'll be bugging people in the general forums about voting anyway. Only one more bout of voting to go until all the round 1 stuff is done.

Ah okay. I thought maybe you were talking about something I was not familiar with. That I can generally do and will be achieved by the changes I planned on making anyway. Just need to make the time to move stuff around.

I think the less sub-sections the better. What we have now is fine. Its not like we have a crazy amount of topics and the ones that aren't popular will just be pushed towards the back.

This is great, yeah. I think because our forum's not all that big this is fine for now.

Would there be interest in a Post a Picture of Yourself thread or perhaps a general picture thread? Or do people prefer their anonymity? It could just be a general picture posting thread. For pets, that new TV you got, or something like when San Andreas posted about meeting people at that Final Fantasy event. Could maybe even be combined with his pickup post thread to give it some more activity. Neph often has avatars with his kids, maybe he'd want to share picks with his family and others might as well. I'm just throwing it out there. I'd actually participate since it is only people I'm friends with here now unlike 1up, but it'd really be about whether other people wanted to. I figured I'd gauge interest. Not everyone would have to participate obviously.

I am working on an About page for my blog that will include a picture of me, so once that hurdle has been jumped, I figured this would be no big deal, but again matters if anyone else wanted it.

As long as there's no penis pictures. I was actually thinking of starting a thread like that a few days back. I was terrorizing my dogs with a RC R2D2 and wanted to share it but most of my friends aren't nerds like me. A picture thread in general would be a good sticky.

Plus, it'd be neat to see what's behind the avatar. I'm pretty comfortable here since the community is pretty much just a bunch of internet friends like a WoW guild. Or something.

*edit* Forgot to add that my avatar is an actual painting of me from when I posed for a romance novel that was then used for cover art on Ironsword. Only difference in appearance no is that I seem to have misplaced my awesome headband.

Yeah, pictures are cool, long as there's no genitalia involved.
