You're not linking to anything or selling anything spiddy, I would imagine there's nothing to fear.

I love the expert sphere despite my failed attempt to take characters on different paths. It works best if you just take characters around their paths but have them take detours at the intersections to learn other characters skills. Lulu and Yuna are both red mages, Auron knows Slowga, and everyone but Auron has Lancet.

I just made it out of Macalania and having two black mages who deal between 1500 and 3000 damage with ra level spells is amazing, and i dont have to conserve MP cause Lancet. Auron fucks shit up too, and Rikku's stockpiling grenades n shit. Kimahri and Tidus are there to cast haste, and Wakka is mainly inflicting statuses like usual.

I can really see myself playing this a ton more times just experimenting with how things work. You just have to keep characters around their default paths for the best effects, but its really neat to mess with.

What im doing will be pointless by end game i suppose, but I'm only 25 hours in right now and its pretty cool. Beyond that the expert grid does just let you follow the normal path you just have to pay attention to where you are going. It also adds some skill abilities, the extract ones, and Full Break which is Armor, Power, Mental, and Mind Break all in one turn. I haven't seen any other new stuff but shit Full Break is amazing.

Kimahri's damage output really doesnt catch up with Auron or Lulu's though. He's second rate man second rate.

I have high Strength, Magic, and Evasion, but my HP/MP pools and Agility are lacking.

If I were an RPG character I think my Agility and Evasion stats would be high.

I like Kimarhi, especially when he finally starts to talk. Early on he's just as good as Auron.

Who is everyone's least favorite character? In the beginning it is a toss up between Tidus and Wakka. Overall, I'd probably say Wakka. Tidus is made more annoying by script and voice actor.

I always liked Final Fantasy X because it feels like Lord of the Rings. Frodo is on a journey to Mordor to get rid of the one ring, and Yuna is going to Zanarkand to defeat Sin. Most of the other Final Fantasy games had you going here and there, this game is practically a straight line. And even though XIII did the same thing, it just felt cheap where this game doesn't. Just a little thought I had.

X and XIII have really similiar stories. Summoners fight Sin for Yevon and die, L'Cie follow orders from Fal'Cie and turn to crystal. The player characters defy the gods to free the world. Serah brought catastrophe upon cocoon, Jecht is Sin.

They share a lot of similar themes and symbolism i think. The problem with XIII is it really beats you over the head with it (I mean one of the character's names is HOPE) XIII also completely forgets what it is once you reach Gran Pulse. There's literally no story after that. Also XIII's lore is so fucking complicated you need the datalog. X's is really all explained when the party explains things to Tidus.

Yeah, I found XIII to be really confusing. I played it twice and still don't really know what the story was all about. It's just funny so many people hate XIII (I don't really like it, but I don't hate it) but love X. The main problem everyone had with XIII was how linear it was, but it is nothing that X didn't do before it.

Yeah, now that you point it out, they are very similar. For me though, besides the characters of X, older final fantasies stand out because there are variations in the tone of the story. Emotionally there are ups and downs in 10's story. Things go well, then they get intense, then there's a break. It feels like a journey. XIII just kept up the same pace, the same tone the same EVERYTHING the whole time.

Even with all of the changes, Final Fantasy X still felt like a Final Fantasy game. Final Fantasy XIII didn't feel like a Final Fantasy game.

I thought the characters developed to a point, but as i said when they got to pulse everything just kind of grinded to a halt. It's like they decided "this game is too cinematic we need to put more gameplay in it" but instead of trying to balance its all gameplay much like the first half is all story.

I liked FFX and FFXIII, but FFXII's freer structure and aesthetic really spoiled me for FFXIII - and FFX, I suppose.

My least favorites are the asshole Luca blitzball team. I think Tidus and crew should have just kicked their asses on the streets.

I still can't fathom why any developer would think this is a fun mini-game to include into a game. Will I try it? Yes. Will I hate life? You betcha.

You can set the animations to short in the menu. Also on Vita tap the touch screen and you can change it during battle.

That does seem to make the lightning dodging SLIGHTLY less crap. That said...fuck it.

One thing I haven't asked yet is how is the remastered soundtrack compared to the original? Any awesome improvements/horrible...deprovements?
