Re: Now Playing
so far my thoughts are its a good console with a shitty interface. it runs surprisingly quiet and cool and i love the controller
Re: Now Playing
Might try streaming Sunset Overdrive tommorow night if anyone wants to check that out I'll give a link when i get to it on twitter or here
Re: Now Playing
Got a new TV in the bedroom. Moved the PS3 up there and started playing God of War 3 again for something cool looking on the new TV.
Re: Now Playing
I got GTAV, Diablo 3, Shadow of Mordor, and Freedom Wars (as well as The Last of Us, but I already opened that). Got 3 Funko figures (I'll probably send pics to Trip because he likes them as much as I do), a Buffy graphic novel and a Angel and Faith graphic novel, socks, and I think that might be it. Just waiting for GTAV to install, takes forever.

I'd really like to play Mordor. I'm hoping I can rent it. Be sure to post some impressions when you get the chance. Feel free to post some pics of your loot in the picture thread too!
Re: Now Playing
I'm doing my system initialization for my PSTV now including the firmware update. It won't let me tie my PSTV to my PSN account until I do so. I mainly wanted it because of Tales of Hearts R and because it was a lot cheaper than a Vita and connects to the TV.
Edit: And it's slow going, of course, because PSN is overloaded from people activating systems and downloading firmware and game updates.

Mostly just got gift cards which I'll probably use mostly on some movies, music, and headphones. Lots of stuff I want has to be bought online and my family is a bit behind the times on that so... yeah

Re: Now Playing
Started up Dark Souls 2. Great game so far, has a few tweaks and improvements, but keeps most the stuff that makes Dark Souls great.
Also started DKC Tropical Freeze and Captain Toad. Toad is alright so far, expecting it to get better as the puzzles get more complicated. DKC is a lot of fun. Definitely see myself replaying a lot of these levels.

Re: Now Playing
Sunset Overdrive is probably my favorite open world game ever. Just going from place to place is really cool when traveling you dont even have to walk just hop and grind your way.
The missions are also a lot of dumb shit like in Saint's Row 4 though its not quite as i dunno i guess the easiest way to put it is SO is a bit more classy i guess.
And the soundtrack is most punk, ska, and folk punk. Theres even a song where a character voiced by Laura Bailey (i think) sings it and its literally the best thing.

Re: Now Playing
I'm going to try to play some games today. I haven't had time to play much of anything. Thursday I had family gatherings to go to, Friday I worked, and Saturday, I took my car into the shop to find out that the transmission is slowly dying, so it looks like I'll be needing a new car soon because a new transmission is going to run from $4000-8000.

Re: Now Playing
I finished replaying God of War 3. Beat it on Titan this time which wasn't too bad. That ending is still super dumb.
Re: Now Playing
I got Dragon Age Inquisition for my PC, but I don't have it with me so I can't play it until I'm back (this is also why I've been a bit shit getting on the forum, because accessing it from mobile is...ugh).
I have a request! Would anyone with Pokemon X and Y be willing to trade and trade back a couple of my pokemon that need to evolve through trading? I got a Haunter and a Kadabra that are in the midst of some growing pains.

Re: Now Playing
Finally tried some community levels in LBP3. Some pretty awesome stuff. I can't imagine how long some of these took to make.
Re: Now Playing
I'm always amazed by some of the stuff that people create. I've only ever made one level, and it was about an hour or two when a friend was over. Some of these levels are so intricate I can't imagine how long they took to make. Haven't tried any of the new ones yet.

I'm always impressed by the ones that create a totally different game. They're no substitute for full games but it's amazing how powerful that editor is

Re: Now Playing
So after loving Tropical Freeze, I decided to break out DKCR on the Wii to see if it would go over better with me. But one of my issues is the motion controls. There really is too much shaking and after playing with the vastly superior TF controls, I couldn't get very far before shelving the Wii game. I decided to rent the 3DS version and give that a roll. Hoping I enjoy it more this time around now that I'm a bit better at the series and there aren't motion controls? I don't know I'm hopeful.
Re: Now Playing
Beat Tropical Freeze. Fun game, not up there with the Super Mario World/Sonic 2/Rayman Legends god tier, but it has some really good level design, especially towards the end. Either way, I plan on replaying this to unlock the extra levels. Get the feeling they'll be worth it with how good the last few levels were.

Re: Now Playing
So right now, I'm juggling Dragon Age: Inquisition on PS4, Tales of Hearts R and Persona 4 Golden on PSTV (Vita), and Shantae and the Pirate's Curse on Wii U.
DA: I: Looks pretty enough and has some reasonably solid action gameplay. Early parts are a bit slow, but hopefully the story will pick up more. I've actually done a few livestreams of my game through Twitch.tv. My username is Super_King_78, BTW.
Tales of Hearts R: More my style of RPG, I'm liking it quite a bit. Hisui is a serious asshole, though.
Persona 4 Golden: Looks sharper than the PS2 game. Haven't seen any of the added content yet.
Shantae and the Pirate's Curse: For all you Wii U (or 3DS, but I'd get it on Wii U if you have a choice) owners, this game is really worth getting. It's a pretty good 2-D platformer with a lot of RPG/adventure elements to it and it spoofs a lot of the tropes of older video games (and a few newer ones as well). I missed out on the Game Boy Color and GBA Shantae games, but I'm liking this one enough to where I might pick the downloadable versions of those up for my 3DS.

I spent most of the day playing Nidhogg at a friend's house. None of us are big fans of fighting games but we all had a blast.

Re: Now Playing
i beat Sunset Overdrive last night and save for a few bad jokes it was really great. I have a feeling a lot of you guys here would love it. Really feels like an insomniac game even more so than most recent Ratchet and Clank games imo. You can also tell it takes a lot of stuff from R and C. There's plenty of platforming too most bosses really feel like platformer bosses.
And it actually actively makes fun of what they did with Fuse. Theres even a sidequest devoted to doing solely that. I found it rather amusing even though i was a fan of Fuse. This game was a much better use of their talent

Re: Now Playing
what are the controls of nidhogg anyway? Do you have to have 4 controllers for it?
Also, I'll message you when things are a bit more settled, San.

Re: Now Playing
You only need 2 controllers for Nidhogg and it just uses the analog stick or dpad and 2 buttons for jump and attack. There's no combos or anything like that

Played the Left Behind DLC from The Last of Us Remastered (which is the primary reason that I rented it from Gamefly) since I didn't get around to buying it when it first came out. It's as good as TLOU.

Re: Now Playing
I've been playing some Crash 3 which is very fun still. Also started up DKCR on 3DS and like it much better without the motion controls.
Re: Now Playing
Got about seven hours into Dark Souls 2, then was about to play more when I decided I'd rather be playing 1, so I got it working on my PC and am now back in the game. I'll get back to Dark Souls 2 after when I find a mod so I can get rid of that stupid health chipping every time you die as well as enemies disappearing. I don't care if I need to play offline, I hate the online in those games anyways. It could even give me a pause button while I'm at it!
Also played a lot of Smash with one of my buds yesterday. He owned me with every character, but I got a LOT better.
