Re: Now Playing
Gonna agree with Greenman. It's fun in a so bad its good sort of way. It's got style and a dumb sense of humor, but the gameplay really can't carry it very far. Definitely not worth full price. 20 bucks sounds like a good jump price for it.
The best way i'd describe it is kind of like Lollipop Chainsaw + DmC, but its not really as good as either of them.

Re: Now Playing
So is anybody else actually playing Dark Souls 2 here?
If not why not? This game is mad ballah.

Re: Now Playing
I'd be playing Dark Souls 2 if I was still buying games.
I'm replaying Shadow of the Colossus and paying attention to the RPG aspects this time around. I actually didn't even know it had any the first time I played it. It's like I've discovered it all over again. Plus you get to take in more of the world that way

Im playing Dark Souls 2. Actually just beat it the other day. Now im working on going through some of the things i missed throughout the game. Going to start up new game+ after I do a bit more exploring.
Re: Now Playing
Nice. I'm nearing the end of it I think, I'm just about to hit the 30 hour mark. There's a lot of scrub players online for now which is a nice change. Being invaded by two people and slaughtering them both back to back without taking a hit felt awesome. Some of the covenant packs need balancing though, you just rely on the mobs so much it's pretty bullshitty.
What sort of build did you go for?

I want to play that game, but I haven't finished the first one. Tough to play a game you can't pause with a family to take care of. I'll get it once I finish the original for sure though.

Figured this might be easier than trying to explain my build haha. But as you can see I went pretty heavy into strength. Probably overdid it but it ended up working out. Luckily I have not been invaded that many time. I think before I finished the game I was only invaded maybe two times. But after I finished I did go back to one and area and got hit 4 times back to back. Not sure what that was all about. I think it was a pretty even split between my wins and losses. Trying to decide now if I want to fire up new game + or possibly start a new file.

Ouch. Make sure you check up on the lore videos of the first once you finish it, you'll be quite surprised how much depth there is to the world.

Sweet, that's kinda similar to mine. I haven't got that many points in strength yet but for the most part I've just been leveling strength and stamina. I got an ol' busted up blue wooden shield from the start of the game that I use for going into new areas and against players but for the most part it's a dodging game with a fully upgraded fire longsword. I didn't bother going for any fancy equipment, basic early game stuff upgraded is more than enough and keeps everything chill. You might have been in a covenant area which means very frequent invasions.
I'll post a screen of my stats tomorrow at some point.
Re: Now Playing
I finally got to put some good time into Infamous Second Son. It is definitely a lot of fun. You pretty much know what you are getting if you played the other Infamous games. It's pretty similar though has some small tweaks that make for a better playing game.
Re: Now Playing
So inFamous is really fun. Just a warning, I'm going to share pictures of anything Nirvana related. Already attempted one but it wouldn't share for some reason. This is probably the closest I'll ever get to Seattle, unfortunately.

I kind of have a fear of flying, and that's one hell of a long trek in a car from Michigan to Washington. I'm cool with Oregon, can also visit where Hole started as well. Two birds one stone.
Oregon and Washington just look like two beautiful states. I'm a big fan of dreary, overcast, rainy weather.

Beat Mass Effect for the 16th time. Enjoyed it just as much as the first time. Gonna wait on 2 for a little bit, but I was kind of eager so I did the tutorial mission right away. They REALLY improved the controls on the PS3 version of ME2 with that last update, I did not expect that. It always felt like you were aiming on a grid too much there, now it's as fluid as the 360 version.

Re: Now Playing
I got the 9999 damage trophy using Ixion against that Ah Bhed Cannon in Macalania. Is it supposed to deal that much damage this early or am I just super overleveled?
Re: Now Playing
I played about two and half worlds of Yoshi's New Island for 3DS. Seems alright so far. The art looks better in game than in videos/screens (not surprising but worth noting). Though still looked better in the 2D style. It is rather easy. I'm told the series is one where the challenge comes through going for 100%. It has been too long since I've played the first two to remember, but I recall them having their fair share of tough sequences as well. I guess those would come later in the game anyway, so I will see how I feel after playing some more. Still the unique mechanics of the series are really neat, so it is a fun time so far.
Re: Now Playing
Thanks for the heads up, Kay. What is Ixion? Is that a summon? I've played the game twice and have no recollection of it.

DO EET.
DO EEEEEEEEEETTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT.
Played DaS2 for about an hour tonight just trying to get past one boss and just kept dying again and again. I think my equipment just isn't good enough anymore but I'm too stubborn to change it now.
Kingdom Hearts HD also arrive yesterday which I played a little bit off. It's just as amazing as I remember it being when I was like 8 years old. The entire opening section on Destiny Island is just awesome, it serves as a really good tutorial area as well as introducing the characters.
Re: Now Playing
I'd like to get Kingdom Hearts at some point. Too many games right now, I'm just pushing off games for new ones and it is becoming a real problem.
