Re: Now Playing
It didn't appeal to me either but I had a blast with it.

Re: Now Playing
So Trip mentioned Mass Effect enough times within a short enough time frame that I started a new game. Gonna try and juggle this with South Park.

Re: Now Playing
I downloaded Mass Effect, but haven't had a chance to start it yet. Hopefully this weekend.

You just haven't heard the gold sound enough.
Re: Now Playing
Does anyone actually recommend playing Mass Effect 1 before playing 2? I lost my Mass Effect 2 save data when my old PS3 died and was thinking about starting it back up; however... I also have Mass Effect 1, too. Should I just start playing that before continuing/re-playing 2?

Yup, play 1. I'd be surprised if anyone didn't recommend playing 1 before 2.

Re: Now Playing
Absolutely play 1. Mass Effect 2 is so much better if you have 1 transferred over.

Re: Now Playing
Play 1, despite its hiccups, it's worth experiencing the whole thing.
ALSO, about the DOTA thing, I have watched it being played by friends. It's one of those genres of games I enjoy watching and can get into, but not playing.

Re: Now Playing
I beat Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge, and you unlock chapter challenge where it removes cutscenes and lets you play as one of the girls instead of Ryu. I gotta say this game is a LOT more fun without the obnoxious cutscenes. The story is pretty shit and pointless, and i enjoy bouncing tits and tearing fuckres to shreds. Less interruptions and more tits make this game so much better.
Re: Now Playing
Thanks for the recommendations for ME. The only thing is that I have ME1 and 2 on my PC, but I have 2 and 3 for my PS3, so despite this I'll probably play 1 and 2 on my PC then play 3 on the PS3.
@Rainjar - I still haven't beat the game. I think I'm near the end, but I suddenly lost interest in it. I'm assuming you've played God Hard? I doubt I'll play it in that mode. Hahaha.

Re: Now Playing
I wouldn't recommend switching systems between games. Part of the charm of the series is that you get to see how your choices affect the universe and if you play 3 without a save file it literally gives you one of the worst save files you can imagine. All the choices you would never want to make, it sets as the default.

Re: Now Playing
@volvocrusher I already know that I'm not going to go out and buy ME1 for the PS3, nor am I gonna buy ME3 for the PC because of Origin, so nothing's really going to change my mode of gameplay at the moment.
Re: Now Playing
Well, if that's the way you see it, I'd say play ME1 on PC if you want to experience it, then 2 and 3 on PS3 or just skip it and play them both on PS3. You don't under any circumstance want to play 3 without an imported save file.

Re: Now Playing
@volvo - I appreciate the recommendation, but being someone that isn't highly vested into the ME world, I'd like to see for myself how 'terrible' ME3 will turn out to be should I play it without any imported saves.
Re: Now Playing
Wait, so ME3 doesn't have one of those interactive comic things if you don't have a save file? That's dumb

Duuuuude, you should play it on harder difficulties afterwards. It's one of those games that can get really fucking boring really quickly if you're on lower difficulties but when you whack the difficulty up by one notch the game throws it up by a million so "Oh sweet, I can move fast! Haha pewpewpew, take that robots!" turns into "HOLY FUCKING SHIT SPEEDKNEES HOLY FUCKING JESUS CHRIST MISSILES EVERYWHERE BANGBANGBANGBANGBANGBANGBANG VROOOOOOOOOM INTO THE MOTHERFUCKING SLOW MO RIGHT OVER THAT MISSILE AWWWWW YEAH THIS IS SO FUCKING LEGIT AWESOME!" due to the fact you can't even take more than a few regular bullets.
It has its frustrating moments but when you beat them oh god is it satisfying as hell. You can't take a single break, you'll respawn and have to get right into the speedknees rollan as soon as the game loads up again at some points or you're a dead man. God Hard doubled, if not tripled, the amount of time it took me on normal and I had a death count in the 600-700 range by the time I finally finished it. One of my favourite games from this gen for sure.

I didn't like Thief either. It's only real merit was it tapped into how much I love grabbing shiny things.

The Wii U version does I know I'm not sure about the others.
Re: Now Playing
I just finished Season 2 Episode 2 of The Walking Dead last night. Decided to take a break from South Park so I could get this done. I obviously won't spoil anything, but it was one of the more tense episodes yet. There were some great scenes. Probably the lightest amount of gameplay. There was a lot of dialogue and cutscenes... but for this game I didn't really care. Either way, more happened in this one episode than the past 2 seasons of The Walking Dead show. Clementine knows how to get shit done.

Jealous. It's not out in Europe yet which is annoying because me and my Mum decided to finally play through 400 Days and start Season 2 last night and with the cliff hanger it ends on in the episode 2 trailer you just want to find out what happens straight away.
It's really funny/awesome seeing my parent getting so excited for a video game though seeing as she doesn't play them herself. I told her I think I know some major thing that happens in episode 2. Now imagine a kid in the run-up to Christmas wanting to know what's in their presents and times that by a factor of at least 10. That's what she was like trying to find out what might happen in episode 2.
Apparently if I don't play episode 2 with her on the weekend I get back from Germany then she's going to hide my plane tickets so I can't go at all. I think I have created a monster. Also if Clem doesn't get a happy ending by the end of all the seasons I am going to be pissed, there's only so much shit you can put one person through goddamn it.
Re: Now Playing
I'll play season 2 at some point, but I'll probably wait until there is a discount when the entire game is out.

Me too, Bret. Gonna try and hold out until at least half the season's out so I can binge all at once.

Beat South Park: The Stick of Truth. A few vague puzzles and mechanics that didn't quite work aside, this was game fucking amazing. Everything you would want them to put in a South Park game is in here, even the stuff you'd think in the back of your mind that they would never put in there. And god damn, what a fucking ending.

Re: Now Playing
I get them from time to time just using my PS3. Usually happens when my internet kicks out for whatever reason. They usually fix when i restart it but sometimes i randomly get them and it takes an thirty minutes to an hour to get back on
