The fact I keep hearing everyone talk about is how it's colder than Mars in some places right now.

Just a good old rainy week on the coast

On the day I flew back to school it felt like -51 degrees Celsius with the wind chill. That's about -60 Fahrenheit. There was a ton of snow back home, too. It's crazy

Sad thing is, he probably wasn't allowed to take the tip. That's how Wal-Mart works. If they see me taking a tip, I'd get fired. How bull shit is that?

We're mostly prepared for winter here. Calgary's road workers are having trouble keeping up with the snow but the main thing that could screw us up in the winter is freezing rain. Good thing it's too damn cold for that

Okay, so my brother says he might get a Vita this year for a game he wants to try, and he needs some info before buying one at some point this year. I need info on everything I need to know about it so I can pass it along to him. How big of a memory card will he need? He isn't going to buy a ton of games, he said only 1 or 3 or something. How much abuse could it take, like from falling? The screen, will he need a screen protector?

Memory card: If you're getting 1-3 games, a 4 GB should be enough. If you see one on sale though between now and then, snag an 8 GB one just in case, they're always on sale

Abuse: Not much. Mine's fallen on the floor a few times and survive hitting my chair's hard plastic legs, but Ken's recently fell on the ground and his screen cracked beyond repair. And when you hold one, you just feel like this thing can't stand much abuse.

Screen protector: I don't use one, prefer a nice cleaning cloth instead. Especially when so many games use the touch screen.

What game is it BTW? I get a lot of Vita games to review so may be able to pass on whether it's good or not.

With PS+ and a big memory card you will get a ton of free games that will build your collection quite fast, so a 32 GB card would be nice. If you really only want 1-3 games just go with the 4 GB.

I have a screen protector on mine since the day it came out, but it came with the pouch I bought to carry it around. I've dropped it 3 times (once on asphalt, wood floor, cement) and it has survived all 3 falls. So I guess it's pretty durable.

What I'm talking about is this which happened to Ken's last month and from falling off a desk

I'm pretty careful with mine so I wouldn't know how much it can really endure but it does feel fragile in my hands, especially when I'm used to Nintendo handhelds

Ahh, I remember the O.G. Game Boy. That thing would have lines randomly blink on and off, and one time when I dropped it a line on the screen went permanently dead. I loved the thing, but it was pretty fragile. Still works otherwise. At least it didn't get blown up in the Iraqi desert, hey?  And the screen got pretty scratched up.

Ever since then, I've always babied my handhelds, even the Nintendo ones and gotten screen protectors for them and the whole nine yards. I use Endust monitor wipes for cleaning on my handheld gaming systems and my Apple stuff and it works pretty well.

Thanks alot for the info guys, I appreciate it, also, let's say he get's a 4/8gb card, but want's to upgrade, can you transfer the memory or do you have to buy a memory card and stick with that one?

@Greenman Thanks buddy. 8 gb's seem enough. I'll tell him to be careful with the thing. The game he wants is some game called Hyperdimension Neptunia PP or something, and some other games he hasn't told me about.

@pspiddy Not sure if my bro will get PS+, I can see you'll need a big memory card for it. I'll try to see if he wants a subscription or not. And thanks for the cleaning tips.

@Brett Yeah, might need to tell my bro to get a case for the PSV. I don't think we ever used cases for stuff before, but if it feels fragile then sure why not? My brother is really careful with his 3DS but accidents happen. Better safe than sorry.

Thanks for the info everyone.

I'd be Iron Man because I'm a drunk smart ass
Trip would be Captain America since he's the one keeping order around here
Spiddy would be Freakazoid because he spends most of his time here annoying people
Matt would be white Green Lantern because Ryan Reynolds
Killa would be black Green Lantern because he reminds me of the GL from the JL cartoon
Kay would be She Hulk (not sure why, just seems to fit)
Chocobot would be Shadow Cat (again like Kay, seems to fit)
Ngamer would be The Tick because of his upbeat attitude
T-Wolf would be The Tick's sidekick Arthur because he likes to complain
Bret would be Spiderman because that would make him happy
Avid would be Superman because he likes Man of Steel
San Andreas would be Professor X because he's the older, wiser guy of the group
Rainjar would be the Riddler because no way that fucker would be a good guy

I very much like being Peter Parker, but getting bit by the radioactive spider would probably give me a heart attack. Besides Buffy Summers (because she is a super hero), Spider-Man and Wolverine are my two favorite super heroes, and out of those two I definitely wouldn't be Wolverine.

Am I Peter Parker because I'm nerdy looking? It's the spectacles isn't it?
