You won't next Halloween when you get it free on Plus.

Waiting for that would be the smart thing to do but I don't know if I'm patient enough to wait a whole year. I will try my best to hold back. Just a few days... I can do it. maybe..

Re: Now Playing
I think I might wait for it to go on sale to be honest. I liked hte first game but not $15 worth. That sounds so bitchy. It's not...just the poor man in me.

Re: Now Playing
On PlaystationBlog, they had an article about the game releasing today. I put something like "If I buy it and you make it a PS+ freebie next week I'll cut your balls off." They must have taken my threat seriously, because it isn't a freebie.

They're not going to make it free next month. They'd only do that in October

Between Bayonetta 2 and Fantasy Life, I think I already have my quota of games for the month, so I'm good.

Re: Now Playing
I'm not sure why you worry about this. Is there a history of this happening on PSN? It seems a game is either free right on release or at least a little while down the line, not like a week later. Now they will often put something on sale right before it is free on PS+, but that is a whole different deal.BretBaber wrote:On PlaystationBlog, they had an article about the game releasing today. Re: Now Playing
I've never seen them do it, but I was afraid they were going to get a lot of people buying it because of Halloween, and then screw them over the next month It was more me just being worried.
I remember buying Rayman for the Vita for $5 when they had it on sale, and then like a week later it was free. That pissed me off.

Re: Now Playing
Despite the issues i had with Freedom Wars i am having a good time with it. It's like what happens when you combine monster hunter with a 3rd person cover shooter, and that mixes together a lot better than it sounds.
Fairly under the radar title, but it deserves some attention. Only 30 dollars new.

Re: Now Playing
So I started up Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs. The game starts with your (probably) dead children calling to you. Then it's all like "CREEPY MACHINE NOISES" then the tutorial messages are coming up one by one and it's like "Hold left Shift to sprint" and I'm all like "WHY GAME?! WHY DO I GOTTA SPRINT?!" So I saved and then took a break because I'm a giant pussy.

I'm planning on getting this. To be honest it isn't a game that interest me much, but I feel I have to give these bigger Vita titles attention for the well-being of the system. Glad it plays well.

Re: Now Playing
I think you might like it theres lots of mission variety everything from hunting monsters (or robots i guess) to deathmatches and stuff like destiny's control mode. tbh its given me what i wanted from destiny plus anime and a boob slider. its a good game
Re: Now Playing
Bought Titanfall. Only played the standard deathmatch mode but it's awesome. I expected a game from CoD developers to control well but I wasn't expecting all of the mechanics to work as well as they do. And few things can top MECH FIGHTS

If I'm paying Greenie, wouldn't he be the whore?
I'll add Fantasy Life to the list.

Surprised that Fantasy Life is a game of the year title for you as often as you play/played Destiny. I would have assumed that was your game of the year.

I don't think I've played 5 new games this year, besides PS+ freebies.

Played a bit of Serious Sam 3. If it looks like your thing, it almost certainly is. If it doesn't, it definitely isn't. Just don't expect anything from the writing. It's worth noting that it's often 90% off on Steam so don't bother buying at regular price. It also has 4 player splitscreen

Re: Now Playing
Been replaying Half Life 2. For me, and I know not everyone on this forum loves that game, but for me there is just something magical about that game. It's completely immersive because it's kind of "game-like". I don't know how to describe it. But there's no roller-coaster/call of duty style set piece moments. All of them happen in gameplay. I.e. the "cheapness" of it, the fact that it doesn't pretend to not be a game, makes it more immersive than ultra-realistic games that are trying to be movies. If that makes ANY sense.
Also finishing up Phoenix Wright, which I did really enjoy. Would be up for checking out the sequels. Have I played anything new? No. Amnesa: A Machine for Pigs. Like the first Amnesia is a game i can only play in bursts because I literally get too worked up.
Going to try Splinter Cell: BLacklist again. When I first got it it had a lot of graphical hiccups on the PC version but I'm hoping 6 months later those issues are fixed (Ubisoft + PC = Shit most the time unfortunately).

Re: Now Playing
Honestly spiddy, I think this is just my cynical view on it but I think a lot of triple AAA game developers are wannabe movie directors. They forget they're making a game. Half Life is great because it knows its a game and doesn't try to be anything but. I'm not talking about the lack of cutscenes whatever, that's just a stylistic choice, but the way the game is paced and the way the enemies appear speaks more to good GAME design as opposed to some writer dude going "WOULDN'T IT BE DRAMATIC IF THEY APPEARED HERE?" NO! BECAUSE IT'S BAD GAME DESIGN, STEVE AND YOU NEED TO STOP RUNNING YOUR MOUTH DURING MEETINGS ALL THE TIME!
