Re: Now Playing
Been playing Transformers Fall of Cybertron that I got on sale a while ago. Not sure if I like WfC or FoC more but like how they change up the gameplay more, rather than just shoot robots, get to area, shoot more robots, ect in the first. Loving all the 1986 movie references it has.

Sorry, doublepost, but so it wont go to waste. Haven't bought anything else from this year on a console since WWHD and Injustice.

Think I'm done with Killzone: Shadow Fall's campaign. It's just really mediocre even if it has some really good ideas. Will keep it for the multiplayer though, having a lot of fun there.

Re: Now Playing
I don't really like the campaign. It's too serious, and there's no cut scenes. I really liked both KZ1-3 for the campaign, but this one feels really bland to me. I love the multiplayer though, so I'll always be playing that. Still hoping for a group play someday.

FINISHED PURSEOWNER 4.
- Incase I mention spoilahs, which I have :
Man, that game sure liked sucking the players dick. That's what probably annoyed me the most, every other piece of dialogue was saying how damn amazing I am. I hate shit like that with a passion. Helping a character out with some basic shit? Time for them to praise you like a God afterwards when you really haven't done much. It ended up feeling really formulated and dull by the end, which isn't helpful considering how you have to spend the last two months or so of the game. One of my favourite bits was honestly where I said something to Ai, or whatever her name is, which pissed her off and she stopped speaking to me, it felt like true video games.
I really liked the whole time management aspect at the start too. It felt like this massive decision to decide between increase social links, increasing other stats, or actually going into the TV to level up. But after the first or second one, it felt pretty easy. Spend 3 afternoons in the TV at the start and chill until the character is better. Also, why the fuck can you only do one action on a weekend during the day? Surely having 2 would make more sense, it'd have made the whole going to school thing actually feel like a damn pain too.
The gameplay in the TV sections really grew on me by the end. The first two dungeons were horrifically dull but from the stripclub one onwards they were awesome and had a nice little tweest on them. Once I got Rise calling out weaknesses on the enemies the gameplay jumped from 'Neat' to 'AWWWWYEAH'. Combo'ing the shit out of enemies as quickly as possible was fun as fuck. Running around at the end of the game casting light and darkness on entire groups of enemies killing them all made me feel like a God.
Overall though, I did enjoy it quite a bit. I think by the end, and after getting the shittest ending first which certainly didn't help, I just felt really tired of the whole thing. Once I get paid this month I'll be buying ma PS2 and a copy of P3 FES, along with P4 Arena and I'll probably even watch the animu, so despite the problems I have with it at the moment P4 certainly hit a couple of the right notes. I'm sure there's plenty of interesting little facts about it too so I look forward to reading up on them and I'm probably going to replay it at some point to max out the other social links, plus to listen to that soundtrack again.
There's a guy I work next to who has over 2000 Transformer figs and knows pretty much everything about the franchise. It's kinda crazy but kinda awesome.Captain N wrote:Been playing Transformers Fall of Cybertron that I got on sale a while ago. Re: Now Playing
Yeah I've given up on KZ's campaign for now. Too many moments focused on stuff it isn't good at instead of shooting. They seemed a little unprepared for making a less linear game. The encounters just feel messy and unfocused at times as a result. I honestly think KZ2's was better. Sure it was a a linear shooter, but at least it was focused on what it's good at. It also had some moments where you really felt like you were part of a big battle which was cool. We'll have to make a multiplayer night some time though for Shadow Fall. I usually finish campaigns before doing multiplayer, but again, I just can't see myself doing that right now.
Re: Now Playing
That's crazy but pretty cool. My knowledge of the franchise only comes from the cartoons, movies, and games. Don't know jack about the comics but I'm willing to guess he knows his stuff about everything. I know some youtube reviewers that have alot but, I don't even think they have 2000!Rainjar wrote:FINISHED PURSEOWNER 4.

Re: Now Playing
One problem for me and the campaign is I'm just having a lot more fun doing multiplayer. Also, campaign seems really hard and finding what I'm doing in the objectives seems difficult even with the markers.

The campaign just feels like Halo without all the stuff that makes Halo fun.

I'm about to start livestreaming my first playthrough of Skyrim via Twitch. Feel free to join me and/or chat with me so that I don't make any HORRIBLE mistakes. XD

Hahaha. It was fun having people's help as I played through Skyrim; despite how much of a n00b I am/was, though. I can already feel myself getting addicted. I can't wait to get stronger.
Just a forewarning to ALL: DO NOOOT MESS WITH THE CHICKENS! Just ask PSpiddy about the entire fiasco I underwent trying to pay my fine and go to jail. Ridiculous, I tell you!

I just recently acquired a Twitch account, which works in unison with a Broadcasting program. The program I use is XSplit, but Twitch has several other recommendations on their page if you were seeking a different program or app to use: http://www.twitch.tv/broadcast
Re: Now Playing
Hahaha. You could've left any time you wanted Pspiddy, but instead you opted to watch me desecrate the symbolism behind what it means to be called a Skyrim "Hero". Hahaha. I made a highlight video (another feature of Twitch) from my livestream for anyone that wanted to watch, but wasn't available.pspiddy wrote:He said he was using what twitch reccomended. But from what I saw you have to be a snow leopard, punch the main story blacksmith's chicken and then run around naked getting stabbed until you follow psiddy's directions. Only to go in the opposite direction and make your way up a mountain where you finally realise there is a compass in the middle of your screen.
@Krubix - The PS4 is also using Twitch as a feature that helps record and chat while in gameplay, as well.

Re: Now Playing
Picked up Virtue's Last Reward and done the first proper puzzle section. The set-up is really, really awesome. There's a ton of potential for a fantastic game here, despite the pretty poor dialogue at times. Very excited to see how this all turns out.
Re: Now Playing
Doing my second playthrough of Infinite, found 75 out of 80 of the voxophones and based on my proximity to the ending I know I'm going to finish having missed 2 of them or something stupid *sigh*
Don't care so much for the completionist value, but I enjoy the story!

I really enjoyed that game quite a bit. Curious to hear your thoughts on it when you finish it up.Rainjar wrote:Picked up Virtue's Last Reward and done the first proper puzzle section. I enjoyed your livestream a lot. The best was you and pspiddy going at it haha. Got a skype call in the middle of it so I couldn't hear everything that was going on near the end of it. Cant wait to your next go at it.lenny.b wrote:I'm about to start livestreaming my first playthrough of Skyrim via Twitch. Re: Now Playing
Mostly focused on Zelda. Not without its issues, but overall pretty excellent. Still chipping away at Splinter Cell Blacklist, but it just isn't really lighting my world on fire to be honest. I have also been doing Uncharted 3 co-op with my friend in splitscreen which has been neat. Hoping Gamefly decides to send me a PS4 game. Haven't been playing it much!
Re: Now Playing
Did you end up beating Tearaway?
I've never played an Assassin's Creed game before, but figured I'd like to rent the PS4 one. Those types of games are usually one of my favorite genres and I figured I'd change up the sports/shooter thing I've been doing on there.
