I keep having some issues getting credit Bounties on strike bosses and public events. It doesn't happen every time but it has happened a few times. I'm wondering if you guys have run into this.

Ran into another bug while running through the story with Avid; He would drop at the final boss of a mission. We needed to run it three times for him to finally complete it. And it wasn't a case of who was fireteam leader because he dropped once when each of us were leader. His connection seemed pretty solid throughout all of the other mess we were doing so I don't think that was the cause.

Does anyone know what time/zone the servers reset the weekly 100 vanguard/crucible token cap? Is it even on Sundays?

everything resets at 4am central and i'm pretty sure its tuesday since thats when the game launched

I'm also unsure of whether the vendor legendaries rotate or refresh. The normal items do but the legendaries seem static. Which is both cool and kind of sucks. It sucks because the passives are shit, but cool in that it would mean there's incentives for other activities. Then again, it kind of renders the vendors pointless. (Grenades cool down melee and not vice versa? Legendary my ass...)

One of the bounties for crucible today is participate in 5 Rumble Matches. I'm on the 5th one right now just waiting for it to be over. It's not for me at all with my current set up. The only way I think I would do well is go all out defense and strength and just melee.

*edit* Yup. Tried it again and the only way I can hang is go full on toughness and strength with Blinkstrike, and gear with melee to grenade and melee speed. I hope this bounty doesn't come up again for a long, long time.

It sure would be nice if factions would accept vanguard marks. Anyone know an easy way to max crucible besides rumble matches? 2 marks per match on those and they are about 5 minutes.

Destiny sure does get a lot of hate from both ends of the spectrum. What I think is funny is how, amongst the vitriol, it's the best-selling new ip in video game history and there's non-stop discussion about it.

I love it. It's a chore sometimes and I'd like more emphasis on PvE with vendors, but so far it's an awesome FPS MMO without a monthly fee. Of course, I'm that rare breed that likes to grind for shinies. Sure I get pissed that my legendary engrams always turn out rare, but my two legendary weapons popped out of rare engrams. And I've barely scratched the surface of the game. Sometimes a slow grind is good. If only I wasn't bottom of the barrel in PvP...

Rumble is so ridiculous. I had another "complete 5" bounty. The last game I decided to non-stop run and just knife fools. I ended up with 7 kills and 10 deaths. That's on a whole new level of absurd. I hope there are private matches for people that actually like to try.

So the loot cave got patched, correct? That didn't stop some players from thinking the exploit works elsewhere. (Maybe it does; I don't care)

What cracks me up and pisses me off at the same time is how my Cosmodrome farming is all fucked off now. I farm for reputation. I have a system that nets about 75 rep every 15 minutes. All without bounties. Some of this includes "measly" 10 rep at a time. Now with jackasses looking for another loot cave and the new 40 second respawn timer, said jackasses think I've stumbled on a new loot cave and fuck up my patrol mission grinding.

I hope this makes sense to someone here. I seem to be the only one here though so whatever's clever.

Oh, and now I'm grinding pvp for crucible marks. It's not so bad if you use the blink strike method I mentioned previously. Farming is farming.

I have a bounty for an exotic hand cannon. I was pretty excited because it said to go kill 500 hive. No problem. I farm those and it only took 45 minutes. But that was just the first part. Now I have to get 500 points in crucible with a void weapon. +5 points for kills and -2 points for deaths. Doubt I'll ever get 500 points

I was renting this and sent it back. I had planned on just keeping it (renting a new release and then keeping saves me a bit of money and I still get the game new/unplayed I figure, so why not?), but I just didn't see myself continuing to grind for armor parts and the like. I will probably just buy it when it is a little cheaper down the line and see how the game has changed or at least to play some more co-op with people. Sorry I didn't catch many of you guys for some co-op while I had it. Also wanted to see if Gamefly would send me Hyrule Warriors, so needed to get a slot open.

I LOVE/HATE this game. I think im gonna let it sit for awhile and let them update shit and hopefully make it better. I heard they fixed engrams so they dont give you as much shit (or are going to) thats a step in the right direction even if taking away loot caves isnt.

@Kay: I've noticed a significant jump in legendary engram decryption after level 24. I have 3 legendary specials, a legendary heavy, and a legendary chest (not equipped because of course it drops after I purchase one with a faction) that all decrypted after 24. Could be coincidence. The engrams came from normal play and not the loot cave. No, the loot cave only gave legendaries to Avid. A guy who still can't fucking double jump for the life of him.

But, yeah, the feed on the app says the bullshit decryption dude gets patched this coming week. Only no loot before the patch is subject. Which is a questionable design choice probably linked to the loot cave.

I've been playing through this game so slowly that I haven't even gotten to the loot grind stuff yet. I think I'm level 16 or so and I'm enjoying it the more and more I play... but every time I finish a mission I have a debate with myself if I should keep playing or switch to Diablo. I will say, I got my first good Hand Cannon the other day... Those are amazing! Made everything a lot more fun for me.

Got another exotic weapon quest. This one requires a weekly heroic. So I started to solo it since it's level 22. I got to the end boss and then the servers go down. Ain't that a bitch. Cry two tears in a bucket...

I don't know if they changed the loot thing already, but I was playing yesterday and I randomly got a legendary Auto-Rifle. I was just playing multiplayer and it dropped. I was pretty excited, because I hadn't gotten a decent Auto-Rifle yet and I had only seen one blue item so far let alone a purple! Unfortunately I can't use it until level 20... but when I do hit it, I'll have an awesome weapon to use.

The more I play of this game, the more I like it. I even enjoy the multiplayer even though I'm terrible at it. It just really feels like they had so much more they wanted to put into it and everything about the story seems hollow.

The only multiplayer modes that get me this close to rage-quitting are the 3-on-3 modes, like Skirmish. You're always up against 25+ level players that are one-man wrecking crews. Control (aka King of the Hill) is my favorite. I'm a big fan of Horde modes so I wonder if its too much to ask for the Destiny version of a Firefight mode.

Grats on the legendary main! I haven't had a main drop but I have 5 heavies and 1 special.

I'm not a fan of any of the PvP modes except for control. I mean, it's not because I'm terrible (which I am) I just find them dull. Especially rumble.

Un-FRIGGIN-believable! I hit vanguard rank 3 and the legendary weapon they mail me is another friggin rocket launcher. I now have 4 of them. I was hoping for a main or another special. Damnit!

And if anyone is curious, the passives and element damage are different than what's at the vendor.

Goddamnit, at least I'm rank 2 with two factions so I can try again for, hopefully, a hand cannon soon. Uggghhh...

That was a blast. I honestly lost track of time I was having so much fun. And I knocked out a good portion of the exotic wep quest as well: 13/25 strikes

Once you hit 20 and equipped that legendary main it was like you entered a whole new world. You were smiting fools left and right.

And it was also nice to finally play with Killa because he actually knows what the fuck he's doing while still being goofy and having fun. It's gonna be hard to have patience in randoms after playing with him.

Greenie and Trip should have kept the game. And Kay needs a PS4, damnit!
