Nier and Persona combined with work deadlines are going to mean the death of any semblance of a social life I had.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - Best game world ever and a shoe-in for my top 10 of all-time. With some of the minor annoyances fixed and better dungeons, it easily could've been my #1 game of all time. A+
Uncharted 4 - best platforming of the series and some really great action and story sequences, but also some awkward moments that come from the new changes not quite fitting in with the series's formula. B+
Duet - Neat balance between arcade and hypnotic rhythm-based gameplay. Good soundtrack. Plus I discovered it in an old humble bundle and I got steam cards from it, so it basically paid me. A-
Dustforce - I had to use a Google search to figure out how the mechanics work. The way the game is made means that it often thinks you're airjumping when you run and jump off of a platform, making it seem like you sometimes have one less jump available than you should. I also hate how you can't access a whole bunch of the game unless you go back and absolutely perfect older levels. C

Re: Games You Played in March 2017
Only finished one this month:
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild: I loved it. The stuff it does right is incredible. The open world. The systemic gameplay. The sense of discovery. The joy of exploration. All that stuff is very special. But there are a lot of issues that I just can't ignore. Sub-par dungeons and bosses. The main quest and story is lacking. Open-world repetition. Difficulty and challenge progression issues. Lots of little quality of life stuff it needs fixed. But it is a bold re-invention of the series which is commendable. Overall I'm a little torn on where to grade it at the moment. Objectively it feels like an A-, but my enjoyment might bump it to an A.
And then also put a lot of time into:
Horizon: Zero Dawn: I love the combat. It has a lot of depth and strategy and can be quite challenging. That is the game's strength. I like Aloy and the world too. The graphics are insane of course. The rest I'm less into I guess, but everything is solid/okay. I am seemingly nowhere near finished yet either.
This month hoping to finish Horizon. As for new releases, I'd like to get Yooka-Laylee and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

Breath of the Wild- While the dungeons weren't the best in the series, everything else was so fantastic. I haven't played a game I enjoyed that much since Mass Effect 2. There's issues, sure, but compare that to what I enjoyed and I can't complain one bit. A
Super Bomberman R- What's good about Bomberman is so solid that even a sub par package like this can't ruin it. Doesn't change that it's a really sub par package that's light on content. D+
Mass Effect Andromeda- I only played the trial sure, but man was that just not good. Combat felt like it had potential, but the lack of a pause wheel really hurt it. That was the glue that kept 1-3 together to micromanage all these powers and now it's just too chaotic for its own good, especially since the controls somehow feel less polished than 2's. And the graphics/checkpoint were awful. I'll play it when it's on sale, but man was that a bad first impression.
As for next month, I'm renting Yooka-Laylee and Persona 5 comes out tomorrow.

You're playing on PC, right? I always used to map the powers to the 1-9 keys.
Not that a keyboard fix will fix all your issues with the game, especially with everything I've heard...

Even with the powers mapped there, it needs the pause feature for its tactical nature. Andromeda only has three powers but I couldn't use them as well as 1-3 powers because of this.

Mainly Horizon and Dragon Quest VII. I'm so ready to be done with VII, definitely my least favorite of the series. The combat isn't bad and I like the different classes, but it's so repetitive, and at times there is just too much boring dialogue. Glad this wasn't my first Dragon Quest game when it was released on the PS1, because it is absolutely nothing compared to VIII.
Also started playing Killzone again because I got a hard drive and had room to reinstall it. This series is by far my favorite shooter.
