The Games You Completed/Played in April 2014
So list the games you've completed or played significantly for the first time if you so choose in April and along with some thoughts and grade/rating of some kind if you'd like. Mini-reviews of sorts. It is cool to link to a blog or review about the game, but please at least give a sentence or two about it in here too.

Dynasty Warriors 8 Xtreme Legends- It's mindless button mashing, but it's also fun as hell and gives you a lot to do. Solid B.
Titanfall- My GOTY so far. There isn't that much content, but the game's just so much fun I keep finding myself coming back to it.
2048- A very close second for my GOTY. I didn't think much of this game when I first saw it, but holy fuck it's addicting. Free too, find myself playing it whenever I'm bored, hopefully some day I can make that 4096 block.
Batman: Arkham Origins- Everything except the Deathstroke fight felt so bland in this game, like they were just making a Batman because they had to. I lost all motivation after Deathstroke.
Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate- It's pretty cool seeing how they were transfer everything about the Arkham games into a 2D game. What's not cool is how no one bothered to make sure any of this was fun in 2D. Loses everything that made Asylum and City good.

That is too bad about Blackgate. That sounded like a good idea on paper. Deathstroke is the boss fight I was asking for during the first two games. It was pretty awesome.
2048 is just a Threes! clone right? I just sort of wrote it off for that reason.

I've never heard of Threes! before, but yeah, it that came before, it is a clone. Still, I think 2's would work better than 3's in this kind of game.

Max Payne 3: well, I didn't complete it but I am finished with it.
Assassin's Creed IV: took the majority of almost every weekend but it was fun all the way.

I played a lot of Final Fantasy X. Haven't beat it, but I could have. Just started doing level grinding things towards the end. Beat Killzone Shadow Falls finally. That last room is really hard with all of the helghast that come swarming in.

Re: The Games You Completed/Played in April 2014
I just went back to old games this month.
Spyro is still good. No real complaints except that the final boss got a bit annoying
MGS3 is mostly incredible but the best part of the ending is sandwiched between bland endless exposition and a boss battle that's at least 3 stages too long. That leaves a bit of a sour taste.
Skate: challenges get annoying and walking would be nice but it's still great. I love these games cause they really let you come up with your own lines. Wish I could still upload replays

Think the only game I beat this month was Dark Souls 2. Haven't played much except that and FFXIV which cant really be beat I don't think.

Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge (PS3): Modern NG1 has maybe my favorite set of bosses ever. This game might have the worst in recent memory. I liked regular encounters well enough, but even those are a shell of their former selves. Everything else that surrounds them makes this a bad game. What happened to you Ninja Gaiden Grade: D
Punchout (Wii): I really enjoyed it. It is pretty much classic Punchout brought to the Wii. Wish there was more new fighters maybe. By its nature it is pretty short. The title defense and exhibition challenges are a fair way to add some value here, but I didn't care to keep with them. Grade: B-
Muramasa (Vita): I rented this after Kay said it was kind of like 2D DMC. It definitely had that vibe, but I just couldn't get into it for some reason.

Cytus (PS Vita) - I haven't played a tap rhythm game before so it felt pretty fresh to play however the 100 odd songs it has don't appeal to me in the slightest so I haven't played it nearly as much as I was hoping.
Hotline Miami (PS Vita) - I've owned this game three times now (Once from pirating and once from Steam) so while it was on sale on PSN I thought a portable version would be nice. Took me a while to get use to the controls as the game functions much better on PC but they're certainly not bad. The new mask is pretty sweet too, setting everything to black and white with just the blood being coloured.
Binary Domain - Well, it's a clunky corridor TPS. I'm not really seeing why my friend suggested this yet. The dialogue is surprisingly funny but that's about it.
April has been a busy month so I haven't played much in the way of new games. I did replay MGS2, GZ (Again) and finished DaS2 (Spoilers - It's no DaS1) but I'm saving for Germany 2.0 and London Comic Con which isn't easy when your pay has changed so you're not receiving your wages for 6 weeks. May will no doubt be the same.
The only acceptable reaction to Max Payne 3.

Re: The Games You Completed/Played in April 2014
I'm still slowly working on FFX, X-2 and Bravely Default.
New games i played would be mostly Skyrim. They went a little overboard with the streamlining but mostly I like what they did. Getting rid of a lot of tedium adds so much to it and combat is now completely action based (i dont fucking want to take the trouble of aiming my bow at a bastards face and then need a dice roll to determine whether or not his brain gets pierced fuck you morrowind). It's Elder Scrolls but actually fun. 8/10
Rayman Legends. This game has one of the best difficulty curves ever imo. It eases you in then slowly starts making you want to kill everything that lives with how hard it can get. Really nice artstyle too. 9/10
