I still really liked Vanquish, but I already play enough shooters and we don't get enough action games like Bayonetta. I still like Bayo more but it's more about filling a niche.

Bayonetta is the best game of that type IMO. I kind of wish Vanquish had had Gears-style multiplayer and a good marketing push. I think it would have been neat for it to become Nintendo's or Sony's answer to Gears of War.

I didn't like what I played of the original Bayonetta because it's not DMC3 so the fact there's more Bayonetta and less speedknees is upsetting to me.

If they're not going to make a sequel to Vanquish, one of the greatest and most challenging games this gen when played on a higher difficulty, then they could at least re-release it on Steam. I'd buy it again without question and it'd be such easy money.

I don't think traditional MP would work in Vanquish, or at least it wouldn't be as fun as we'd all hope (Because it never is). The idea of it featuring regular AI, like creeps in MOBAs, and building some form of MP/MOBA-esque competitive mode around them excites me more instead of just straight up fighting other players, although I'm sure upon reflection that idea will sound stupid. As much as I hate the idea of jamming co-op into everything I'd rather see a 2 player co-op mode than a competitive MP anyway. I don't know. I just want a sequel to Vanquish for fuck sake.

Also when the fuck are Platinum making a Kill la Kill game. It needs to be done.

It was a joke for how I don't like any game that's of that style other than DMC3 because DMC3 is pretty much perfect in almost every way that it shames all others (Other than God Hand, that game is so goddamn amazing I almost preferred it to DMC3 for a couple of days).

Curious to see that Korra game. I still need to give Vanquish a shot. I must admit as much I like the combat system in Bayo, I don't like much else about it. It is good there will be a sequel since that little subgenre is really under-represented and NG and DMC are not in the best shape at the moment. I think I'd take DMC3 over Bayo still. I'd take both NG 1 and 2 over both though.

admittedly I don't remember how gamepad-y the controls were as a whole so don't quote me on that. But zooming around pulling off headshots left and right just sounds great

I'm plenty interested in RPG Maker. I have VX Ace. I haven't done jack squat with it though other than experiment. I'm trying to find a side-view Final Fantasy style battle engine for it that's in English.

I started an experiment this week with mobile gaming to help me quit smoking. Every time I wanted to take a smoke break I instead played on my phone (mostly Star Wars pinball) for 15 minutes. Only allowing myself a smoke when my phone went completely dead.

Nic fits are still a bitch but I've found this method to work surprisingly well. It makes me want to try my hand at a stress free app that rewards you for playing 5, 10, and 15 minutes and has stat tracking about your progress like most of the standard quit smoking apps. I dunno. That'd probably drive me to smoke more lol!

The real test will be around the house this weekend while drinking beer, doing chores, and watching sports. Wish me luck!
