That picture doesn't feature the limited-edition lithograph and personalized autograph with numbered gold-ink pawprint.
So yeah, your loss.

Re: General TV Show Discussion
I'm rewatching Game of Thrones S1 and S2 before the new season starts. Show is just so good.
Re: General TV Show Discussion
I got The Critic complete series today since it was only $13. I've only seen a few episodes, but the ones I saw were so god damn funny, especially if they involved Orson Welles. To those of you who haven't seen it, this is what you've been missing out on:

It is. Every time they show a clip from a movie he reviewed is gold.

A few months ago I was clearing some utility data off my PS3. I went to delete the game of thrones game data and the song started playing. It gave me goosebumps.

Fringe is on Netflix Instant now. I assume S5 will show up when it comes out on disc. So you guys can watch it now and then go "Why does Trip like this show so much?"
Re: General TV Show Discussion
That only happens with comedies.

Re: General TV Show Discussion
Honestly didn't you enjoy Happy Endings? I never said it was the greatest comedy ever nor is it one of my all-time favorites. But I think it fits into the worth watching category. Also you like Modern Family too right?
Re: General TV Show Discussion
I wouldn't say it's that bad. It had its moments at least. I just remember you saying how much better it was than Community.

Re: General TV Show Discussion
Honestly I remember you saying you enjoyed Season 2 of Happy Endings and now it seems like you act like it was a chore or terrible. Unless you are just being a dick like me with Community which despite my bitching I think is good, just overrated.
Re: General TV Show Discussion
Part of it's me being a dick but it's also I realized it was mainly last few episodes I actually liked. More of it ending on a high note which painted my view of the season at the time.

Re: General TV Show Discussion
Ah okay. I thought I recalled you rewatching some with your sister and saying you were digging it more actually. Happy Endings isn't something I ran around recommending either. Just something I really liked. And I kind of knew it was something that just hit me right. But as a loyal reader of my blog, my praise may have seemed overblown!
I still love Seinfeld. I started hating The Office and How I Met Your Mother at appropriate times. I don't think I'm all bad in the comedy department!
Edit: If you like sci-fi though, Fringe is great. Kind of like The X-Files with a more interesting mythology. It has this great hook that comes in at the end of Season 1 into the next couple that makes it way cooler, but is best not spoiled if you don't know about it. Not sure how common knowledge it is. It takes a bit to get going and some of the later developments I wasn't a fan of, but overall definitely worth a shot. It also comes Bannen-approved. Always a plus.

Haha, that's true. So glad I didn't fall into the HIMYM trap, but then again The Office trap may be worse. The only times I'm laughing now is when Dwight's cousin who's played by Badger from Breaking Bad comes and he has this fake beard on which they're trying to pass off as real and I can't take him seriously.
In other Netflix news, Adventure Time and Regular Show hit it. Been enjoying them lately, my two favorite things ever on Cartoon Network.

Those two I will add to my queue as well. I don't think I've ever seen either and my queue is bloated with dramas at the moment.
Re: General TV Show Discussion
Been watching a lot of the Critic lately. Damn that show is so brilliant. Think my favorite character is Franklin. He's so damn unpredictable and funny. Wish there were more episodes just so I could see more movie parodies.

Re: General TV Show Discussion
I can't say enough good things about Southland this year. Right up there with the top dramas I've watched so far this season.
I also just finished The Black Donnelys on Netflix. It's about four Irish brothers who end up getting involved in some mob-type stuff and some Irish/Italian feud stuff. The pilot really hooked me in, but after that I kind of cooled off on the show, but the last 3-4 episodes were great. It was cancelled after one season though so they don't exactly wrap it up... at all.

Re: General TV Show Discussion
I'd reccommend both Hannibal (visually stunning show with good dynamic between the leads and at least one genuinely creepy killer so far other than the obvious one) and Orphan Black (a sci-fi thriller of sorts, cool if you don't mind the sci-fi slant I think).
Re: General TV Show Discussion
I was going to try out Hannibal until I started to think about the number of shows I watch and how much time I waste sitting around watching TV... with the summer coming I don't want to get sucked into another show so I'm gonna pass on it. Maybe I'll catch it on Netflix and Hulu on a rainy day or something... but not gonna be watching this one week-to-week.

Re: General TV Show Discussion
I've been hooked on Scooby Doo: Mystery Incorporated lately. So far it's actually great, which I can't say for nearly every other SD cartoon since the originals. But it has a really cool overarching plot with a fun contained mystery each episode and managed to do the impossible by making Fred an interesting character. I'm actually liking his bits more than Shaggy and Scooby's, which is my only real complaint. They're not as funny as they should be. The only reason I loved Where Are You is because every time scene they shared was pure gold. They're still entertaining, but not as good as they should be. Still, great show.

It's good to see that Community could at least give us some great episodes at the end of this season. That origin thing was hilarious. Hope next week is great too.

You have to see last week's Trip. Was Troy and Abed doing a great job at being weird plus some of the best Dean Pelton moments ever.
