Trigger is one of my favorite RPGs ever. Usually do a playthrough every few years. I really like the DS version of the game with the interface stuff on the bottom screen and whatnot. I know you're playing it on Vita, just saying. The PS port I remember had some pretty atrocious loading times because of the way they emulated it (though that was the first way I played it, since I didn't own a SNES).

But yeah, great characters, art that stands the test of time, good music, good battle system and you can beat it pretty quickly.

I hate the PS port of CT. I actually found it unplayable because of the load times. I'd rather play the SNES original (either my CT cartridge or the Wii VC version) or the DS version. The DS version has all the Akira Toriyama anime scenes without the horrific load times of the Sony version, plus a few extras of its own, but the SNES version is on a TV set instead of a handheld.

Maybe when you get to Chrono Cross I'll jump back in where I left off when you get around that spot. I found the lack of a story for Chrono Cross to leave a bit to be desired.

I LOVED Chrono Cross as a kid and actually played it first. But then when I went to replay it a few years ago something didn't quite rub me the right way. I mean, the atmosphere and graphics and music especially are awesome but yeah.

I think I only put up with the loading times on the PS Port because it was the first time I'd played it but as soon as I emulated it/played the DS version I would never go back.

I'll find my DS version for this.

The load times can't be that bad. I played Final Fantasy V and VI with the supposed horrible load times and I didn't notice any real problems. I grew up playing Playstation 1 games, so a little loading isn't too bad in my opinion. Never bought the PS1 versions of Chorno Trigger, but I do have the DS game and that was made quite well.

All in all I guess load times just don't bother me as much as others.

If I hadn't been spoiled by the SNES version and its lightning-fast operation, I *might* have been more charitable towards this one. But I also thought the load times were awful even setting that aside. I've also noticed that the downloadable versions of these games seem to come complete with the same load times they had on CD-ROM. I have the FF Chronicles version but I won't play it on PlayStation when I have two better alternatives at hand.
