My favorite courses so far are probably Cloudtop Cruise, Toad Harbor, Dolphin Shoals and Thwomp Ruins. Special Cup is my favorite cup.

MK7 probably had a better classic course selection, but I really like some of the tweaks they made to these. And Tick Tock Clock is still one of the best courses ever. Nice to have it on a home console.

I really like the boomerang weapon too. I kind of miss being able to stack certain weapons by holding one behind you and grabbing another though.

From what I've played, it seems to me that keeping or losing coins doesn't really matter, and you still get the unlockables either way. I swear, I've seen matches where I got totally fucked up and finished with no coins and I still unlocked something. But I guess I could be wrong and I'm just not paying attention to coins.

But yeah, coins in surprise boxes such. I guess it's to keep the leaders from fucking things up too much.

it simply counts how many coins you collect for unlockables i dont think losing them matters. I don't know whether it counts them when already have ten or not though.

I played through the DLC Cups. Very cool. I love all the tweaks they made for the Zelda track (like the new spinny burst things and rupees replacing coins). Music on that and Excitebike are great too. I need to play the courses more to get a feel for which are my favorite as far as design.

New DLC is out. I gave them a quick run through this morning. My early favorite is probably the subway track, but the new F-Zero one seems really cool too. And I like the other two new tracks as well. Classic tracks are okay. I still feel Baby Park is kind of a waste of a slot. That seems like a divisive track though so your mileage may vary. I imagine it will be worth a laugh on 200cc and frantic weapons though with friends. And I did try 200cc on the Mushroom Cup and it is pretty damn fast. Neat addition to the game.
