It was really scary ditching my Marshall and going introspective. At that point in my life I had done nothing but play hard rock. After writing those I never went back to playing in a band. And I kimd of quit playing altogether. Too intense lyrically and emotionally.

For once I'm glad the internet saves everything because, even though embarrassing, I'd hate to lose that, as you aptly put it, raw stuff. It is inspiring me to get back to songwriting because I think I was on to something. Seriously, those lyrics make me question who the fuck I am now because that shit is beyond my capabilities as it stands. I don't even know that person.

I was watching comedy stuff happen and it occurred to me how inclusive that medium is. You can fail or succeed in that medium no matter what prejudice is in place. Think about it.

Before I go off on a spiddy rant, I'd just like to point out how interesting people make interesting gameplay. It has nothing to do with bullshit values. My point is that video games could learn from comedy in how inclusive it is. (sick of the boobs and abs stuff. i.e: Manufactured rage)

Earlier this year I had to put my beagle to sleep and I randomly had a shit day where I missed him a lot again. This morning I woke up from a dream where I was still in bed and he was laying right next to me like he used to so I was feeling pretty down all day over that. Then at work I looked at my phone and my wallpaper is a picture of him so I started to tear up dammit ;_;
 
I felt stupid but I'm still not changing my wallpaper. NEVER!

That's not stupid. I dream about a cat I had sometimes and wake up disappointed he isn't there. He was my first bud and a chill compadre through my formative years. Just remember all of the fun stories and tell them often. For instance:

I was stoned as fuck all watching Ren and Stimpy with that cat. I got hungry, of course, and all my parents had was the ingredients of an epic bologna sandwich. I took time making the sandwich as wonderful as possible. On my way from the kitchen to the couch, after having two bites, the bastard jumped up and stole the sandwich from my hand when I wasn't looking. I said "good kitty" and made another sandwich. What else was I to say? He won that round. And many others.

Now everyone should tell their badass or funny pet stories!

Mittens was the best cat ever. Sometimes I'd purposely piss me off, and he'd chase me around the house, and he would catch on to my run pattern, and he'd stop and wait behind the couch. When I'd get close to the couch, he'd jump up at me and scare the shit out of me. I lost him 11 years ago and I still think about him all of the time.

My sister was once teaching my dog to stay by putting a treat on the ground and backing up and grabbing it if he didn't stay. It drove him nuts, he'd start barking at her and pawing towards the treat. Then he figured out she was moving faraway enough that she couldn't grab the treat if he went after it, grabbed it, and spent three minutes not even eating it, just following her around so he could show off that he had it.

I love those stories and want more! There are never enough puppy and kitty stories!

When we first adopted our big dog, she was so well-behaved that we decided to not use a kennel one night when we went out. When we came home everything was fine until I went to the kitchen and noticed that, out of everything on the counter, she had immaculately opened a 1 pound bag of gummy bears and eaten them all without making a mess or taking the bag out of the snack bowl.

She doesn't do anything like that anymore but that was so funny to me I didn't punish her. My wife freaked out though since it was her first dog and didn't know a) dogs are assholes like that and b) she would be just fine.

Well, can't really punish the poor guy after the deed is done, dogs are stupid like that, they'd just be all like "WHY HE PUNISHING ME FOR SLEEPING?!"

I still have dreams about one of my dogs that had to be put to sleep a couple of years ago...that dog was amazing. People used to endanger themselves while driving to take pictures of his big fluffy head hanging out of our car window.

My favorite pet of all time was my cat, Inky (named after the blue ghost in Pac-Man). Got him as a kitten when I had just turned 6. He died of cancer when I was 19.

I was visiting a buddy and he put a pizza in the oven. Then he got a call and we left so he could do some business in town. As we were arriving at the destination, he remembered the pizza. Luckily, his downstairs neighbor was a firefighter and had a key to the apartment. My buddy is on the phone and, shit you not, said, "Is it done?"

He wasn't deadpan like you, though; he actually meant it. And that, ladies and gents, is who's in charge of offshore drilling operations.

I went full-on 'Murrica tonight. Made some chili and had Frito pies, watching baseball, and saw two fireworks shows; the one downtown I can see from the front porch and the one at the college I can see from my back yard. All I was missing was beer but the liquor stores are closed and they're the only places that can sell real beer.

Drove for 4 hours to parents' house, ate pizza & salad, took a nap, grilled burgers, brats and hot dogs, went to a neighbor's cliff-side house to watch city fireworks (meh), watched some Star Trek TNG episodes with Mom, played Steamworld Digs on Vita before the sandman visited.
