Re: Now Playing
I've never gotten a single Platinum. Not a one. There's too much esoteric shit you have to do to get Platinums and frankly I have other games to play. The only game I might have a prayer of platinuming would be Final Fantasy VII, if they did a re-release of it with trophy support. Hopefully not on PSNow, though. Kudos to Sony for trying something new but I am not a fan of streaming games.
I don't think I ever did 200 lightning dodges on the PS2 version of FFX for that matter.

I thought I could do the XIII plat. 60 hours later playing postgame stuff, I started to lose my sanity so I made myself stop. Every time I look at my trophy list I think, 'It can't be that much more grinding' but it is... haha

I got Bit Trip Runner 2 on the humble bundle sale along with Papa Y Yo and some others...but I wanted those 2. And man...bit trip runner 2 is so soothing. Soothing as hell.

Re: Now Playing
first i have to say "dammit greenman you deleted my post i should slap you wheres spiddy maybe he can help"
Now let my try to remember what i typed first
Uhm.....
I got everything in FFX back on PS2 200 lightning dodges included. Not sure if i want to again lol.
I want to platinum P4G, cause P4 is my favorite game, but a lot of shit happened when i was playing it and its attached to some pretty awful memories. I did go back and plat FFXIII-2 today which i had a similiar sitatuiton with. I loaded up the same file i had back when it first came out, the same file i had back when i first got together with my last ex, and i forced myself to play it, and goddammit I enjoyed it (well except the casino fragment and riding around in circles on a chocobo.) it felt good to finally go back to it. Hopefully i can do the same with P4G. helped get a little bit of closure on everything that happened.

Re: Now Playing
I bought my Gamefly rental copy of The Sly Collection. Last time I played it I had finished the first game and started a little of the 2nd. I want to spend more time with this but and yet I want to make room for other games. For $21, it's a good deal.

Re: Now Playing
So I did everything that there is to do on the Bravely Default demo. I leveled up all the available job classes with everyone, leveled up to level 20 with everyone, rebuilt the whole town with only 2 people, did all the quests, and beat all the bosses. I even watched the AR Movie. All while wasting one of the 30 tries in the demo. Gonna try the Chibi-Robo demo later to see how it is.

Finished up Resistance: Burning Skies. Pretty forgettable. Very bland.

Justice for All is a good starting point, but the original is a better one. If the other's Apollo Justice though, then yeah, J4A is the way to go.

My starting point for Ace Attorney may end up being Dual Destinies on 3DS.

Dual Destinies is surprisingly a good place to start too. Doesn't spoil any of Apollo Justice's or the original trilogy's good twists and focuses mostly on new characters.

I really love the animations for the murderer in that case when he goes nuts. Next case is one of the best in the series.

I started up Xillia again, and did the coliseum with Elize, and i wondered why it was so easy, and then i checked her stats and was like...oh
My Devil's Arm has turned her into a fucking monster holy shit. She has more Phys Attack that both Alvin and Jude. For comparison the number on the right is what it would be with the weapon I won from the colisuem

Re: Now Playing
Metro Last Light has been great EXCEPT the Mutant Bits. Because you can sneak around human enemies, conserve ammo but you can't sneak around Mutants. And they have a terrible terrible habit of going "HIT THIS SWITCH...OH SHIT THE SWITCH SUMMONED A BUNCH OF ANGRY MUTANTS" So I'm stuck in this bit with no ammo, have to hit a switch that summons angry mutants and I am screwed. And USUALLY it's been well paced in that it's Mutant Bit, then long human bit so you can stealth kill/recoup some ammo/ then hub world so you can upgrade your guns etc. BUT NOOOOO. Mutant Bit - Hub World - MUTANT BIT.
Grrrr

Geez spiddy, you play those games at least once every year? Shit, some of those games are long to play every year. I always desire to play FF7 and FF9 though, but I hold off and play once every 3 years normally.

Re: Now Playing
I actually found my last playthrough of FFIX actually wasn't that long...maybe just because I knew what i was doing this time and wasn't a stupid kid. Just a stupid adult.
I think Greenie has the winning trophy for most long games replayed every year. Don't you replay the whole Bioware catalog every so often Greenman?

Re: Now Playing
I usually replay all the Mass Effect and Kotor. Might start alternating those two though. Just eating too much time from me. Might be easier since 2014 doesn't look to have much going for it though. Also replay Super Mario World, Crash Bandicoot Warped, and at least one Pokemon game.
Pokemon's the meatiest, but also the easiest. Usually just save it when I find something good with a lot of episodes on Netflix. This time it's 30 Rock.

Re: Now Playing
I like having the "mindless RPG to play while listening to podcasts" game. Right now that's Devil Survivor 2. Pokemon was good for that too.
Shamelessly I got that item (forget it's name) that gives you EXP for walking in Pokemon. So before the Elite 4 I got on my bicycle and got on a spot that would be long and stop eventually and watched The Wire and just hit the up and down keys idly while I did it.
I feel no shame, the grinding is hard in that game.

Grinding is the worst in Heartgold/Soulsilver especially. If it weren't for the grinding before the Elite 4 they'd be my favorite hands down. Because of that they have to deal with Black/White 2 and X/Y.

I'm playing Lunar: Silver Star Story Touch on my iPad. Lunar is one game I enjoy replaying at least once a year. Might also pop Lunar 2 into my PS3 when I'm done with Silver Star.

The one game I probably have played the most and have the most chance of playing every year is Metal Gear Solid. The game never gets old to me, and I still never skip the cut scenes.

Re: Now Playing
I don't remember if you've played Dragon Quest games, but I think you'd like them. Ever played them? I'm sure we've talked about this before but I'm tired and my brain is dumb right now.
I've been playing my vita a lot, and the three games I've been playing are Tearaway (great game), Urban Free Style (a fun game, but I think I might be done with it now), and Sonic Racing (a game that grew on me a lot). I still don't like Sega characters that much, and sometimes the races can be too long, but I love the power ups. My problem with recent Mariokart games and Modnation Racers were the ridiculous power ups. They took the skill out of racing in those games, whereas here they just feel like a way to get back in it with a well placed shot. They remind me of Mariokart for SNES, which was perfect. So all in all, the racing is solid which is what matters most really.

I'd offer up many unborn children for that. I'd give you born children as well.
