I'm pretty thankful for my insane backlog since I dropped $500 on my worthless dog's vet bill this morning.

I think Transistor is gonna be my only purchase until Destiny. Stupid dog.

Dishonored is amazing, but it's a VERY slow paced game if you decide to play it the way the designers really want you to.
Of course you can go in and murder everything in sight too, but the game is clearly an homage to Thief, and that's how I played it.

I'm trying to plan out my attack on the recent entries in my backlog. I need to finish up my good playthrough in iNfamous, Watch Dogs story, ALBW story, Xillia Milla playthrough, and Dishonored.

Then I will be current enough to start the games I've purchased but haven't even unwrapped the cellophane; Ground Zeroes, Shadowfall, and Bravely Default. This doesn't really dent my backlog but it gives me a nice place to start preparing for Fantasy Life, Destiny, and whatever else that's coming up that will command my attention.

Anybody else trying to knock shit out before the big games start dropping?

I'm trying to get Resonance of Fate off mine before Xillia 2 on the 19th, but ive been playing that fairly slow. WHY DID I START STAR OCEAN 4 AGAIN

I'm trying to get a few odds and ends tied up before Xillia 2 and Hyrule Warriors land myself. Got One Piece and Atelier Ayesha on my plate. But I know it's going to be a futile effort.

I've knocked out ALBW, inFamous, and Watch_Dogs. I'm going to force myself to finish Dishonored and Xillia this week so I can move on to Bravely and GZ in tandem. I've found it's much easier tackling a handheld game with a console game. It keeps me in the gaming mood without burning me out to the point I say, "fuck it" and move on to other hobbies.

This is me staying positive about accomplishing something with my backlog. That way I can justify my upcoming purchases >.<;

You haven't finished Dishonored yet? How we gonna do our podcast man?! I'm still working on Bravely Default. Made it to the last chapter. Difficulty curve is FUCKED if I'm at level 85 and still getting whipped by regular enemies. Bullshit.

I'm still trying to decide on what to tackle first; Bravely Default or FE: Awakening?

My plan of attack is to play one of those to completion before Fantasy Life drops on October 24th. You guys (especially in the RPG threads) should know me well enough to give me better advice than if I just go compare a bunch of videos and reviews. Suggestions?

I say go Bravely Default, because I'd like to play it and I can't and you need to honor me for that reason alone. Also, I'm not even sure what the other game is.

Having played both that's a toughy. I'm likely to lean towards Fire Emblem because the last half of BD is a piss take. Great game for the first 40-45 hours though.

My vote goes to Fire Emblem. That game got me addicted when I normally hate SRPGs.

I started up Fire Emblem. Yup, it's Fire Emblem all right. Except it has some of the best graphics and animation I've seen in any game let alone Fire Emblem.

@Bret: The problem with starting up X-2 is clearing room even on a 32gb card. So stupid it's not on a cart. I will do that soon though and let you know in the FF thread
