Started Uncharted 2 last night and played for about 4 hours. Really digging this one. Yesterday I also purchased a used copy of Uncharted 3 so it seems I'm getting this fix out of the way. Is multiplayer worth the time because if so I'll need to buy map packs (for U2) or an online pass (for U3)?

I wouldn't really recommend it. If we still played it like we used to, then it would be, but the MP isn't really that good and doesn't have the biggest community, so I'd ignore it.

I still haven't picked up Uncharted 3 yet. I should probably get on that.

Uncharted 2 multiplayer was actually really good. Just because volvo didn't think so doesn't mean it isn't. But the community is probably pretty small and it hasn't been as good since they messed with the health/damage model. I think the maps and stuff are free now though. I wasn't the biggest fan of 3's multiplayer because it went for loadouts and carrot on a stick type stuff, but it might be good for some others. If you ever want to play some co-op in 2 since you won't need an online pass let me know.

True I won't need a pass for U2 but I'll need to purchase the map packs if they're worth getting.

The map packs are only worth getting if you want to invest any amount of time in it. Plus you'll probably wind up playing the handful of people who are still hardcore into that game and wind up getting dominated.

Are the maps not free still? I thought they made all of the Uncharted 2 DLC free at some point. Not that I've checked recently. Unless we are talking about if they are literally worth downloading.

I still enjoyed all our game nights, but I remember all those times when the game would glitch out during MP or things would get wonky and I'd die because of it. Had some neat ideas, just not the best MP I've played. Remember, I'm still all for doing another UC2 game night before 1up closes.

What if 1up never actually shuts down and it just stays completely dormant and un maintained forever? Wouldn't that be kind of cool/eerie? Like some kind of internet ruins?

The TPS there could be like Megaton or Rivet City. Bob Mackey reviews will be like those barren stretches of wasteland where nothing exist.

Last time I checked the 3 packs were $2.99 each.

Balls. They had made them free for a while. I just figured they'd stay free. Well obviously try the multiplayer first before you go buying map packs. I can't imagine they'd be worth it at this point though to be honest.

Just finished the walking dead earlier this month. Now just hoping to finish the second half of Halo 4, maybe try Spartan Ops and dlc. Feeling the urge to replay Killzone 2 as well

I'm always down for some Halo if you want a Spartan Ops partner.

So am I. I haven't tried any of the Spec Ops missions.

Awesome. No work after classes tomorrow. Maybe ill shoot for it. Heck, Halo game night with everyone here that has it? I'd be down for halo 3 or reach even. Haven't played any in a while.

My brother picked up Split/Second and looks neat, might take it for a spin later on when all this 1up stuff is done.

Regarding UC2's multiplayer. I'm not sure if they're still on there, but the few games I played had some real jerks on there. One of my first matches ever, I was obviously sucking during one of my first plays, and I just had some guys talking some extreme amounts of shit to me. Soured me forever when it came to playing that game online. I'm sure not everyone is like that, but that's my experience with it.

Also played with Trip though and he explained things to me and helped me out. He was a real gentleman.

I usually mute other players when going online on my own. I sometimes get PM's if I was dominating in a match and get WTF or something, I get a kick out of that. Sometimes I unmute other players on purpose to hear what they say, it's funny to me but if you don't like hearing randoms, mute them.

My brother get's alot of hate mail/PM's on PSN for being so good at Sonic ASRT for some reason.

Tried playing the Dust 514 beta yesterday but it kept disconnecting me so I just said fuck it and deleted it.

Spartan Ops, Friday Night? I work until 10pm est. So a little after that? I have not played any of the Spartan Ops so I would love to get a bunch of us on there and fly through the first episode on Legendary. How many people can play an episode?

Should get off work barely in time to make it, so count me in.
