Top Five Favorite Box Art
Which games have your favorite box art? And for a bonus question which system's packaging (think the way the cases for individual games are designed and the color) is your favorite?

Bonus question for me is easy, and that would be PS1 games. Especially when you got a double discer. Oh baby, that was sweet. Also, they ALWAYS came with instruction booklets.

Re: Top Five Favorite Box Art
I like the second newest Ps3 cases (before they made them more like the Ps4.) My least favorite cases have to be any of the Xbox's. That green just doesn't go with anything very well. But they still beat those awful recycled cases you get with a lot of DVDs these days
I'll have to get back on actual box art. I'm sure some people already know two of my choices

Re: Top Five Favorite Box Art
I rather like the clear PS3 and PSP cases that allow for interior boxart. I just wish the PS3 ones did not have that top that protrudes a bit farther from the art. Always seemed odd to me.
Re: Top Five Favorite Box Art
Favorite cases would probably go to Gamecube. They had a little bit nicer build quality than the other ones, the sharp edges were an especially nice touch. And I prefer the long DVD like ones over the CD ones as long as it doesn't feel flimsy (then it's worse). As for boxart
1.
I remember when I was a kid I thought that was the coolest cover ever. Hasn't changed one bit, so simple, yet works so well.
2.
Exactly what a cover should be, lets you get a picture of what the game's like while looking real good.
3.
Both these games did an amazing job of mimicking and modernizing the Star Wars posters, but I'm giving the edge to 2 because of Darth Nihilus in the center. His mask just screams Star Wars.
4.
Japan gets all the cool stuff
5.
One of the best ways to sell me on something is to make me have no clue what the fuck is going on, just that everything looks awesome.

Re: Top Five Favorite Box Art
My favorite box arts:
1
Lunar 2 (and Lunar 1) are still among my most prized gaming treasures.
2.
I gave Lunar 2 the nod for aesthetics, but on a personal level, this is probably my favorite box art ever.
3.
Tales series box art is always pretty awesome, especially now that Namco is trying to move away from the "Angry American Kirby" mindset.
4.
This was minimalist, but damn, was it elegant. Nintendo tried to package the original Zelda as something special, a game for more advanced palettes, and it worked.
5.
The game itself wasn't spectacular (I personally thought it was very underrated, though, with interesting aesthetic design and a pretty badass soundtrack) but this is some nice art.
As for my favorite box art by system, it's the PS1, hands down. Later system boxes look kind of cheap.

I definitely love inside cover art for PS3 games. Did you guys like the sideways PLAYSTATION 3 lettering on the original ones?

A lot of the ones you already showed are some of my favorites, but I like these as well.
These last few are from Japan.
