I'm really excited for this game and thought that since a fair amount of other people are getting it, I'd make a thread to talk about it.

I'm SUPER on the fence. I love South Park but they've been in a downward swing the last few years, and I love RPGs but if the gameplay isn't great or the hours aren't there it isn't worth a full price game. SO, I'll be waiting for you guys to give your impressions probably.

I really have no idea when I'm going to find time to play this. I'm not even 100% sure I'm going to be picking it up tomorrow. It looks really cool, but I don't know how I'm going to add an RPG to my gaming lineup. I should probably finish up some of the other games I'm working on first!

I will buy it and play it sooner than later... I don't see how I can't.

Yeah, if the humor is even remotely in the good south park range I will pick it up eventually but $60 is tough (when you don't have an American credit card with which to buy it). If I could buy it with my Japan moneys I would probably get it today...

EDIT: Reading a few reviews I think this is something I WILL buy, it's just a matter of will I buy it at full price. It's a shame getting a credit card as a foreigner is almost as easy as skiing in hell.

T-Wolf, I can definitely say that this is a better representation of South Park than 90% of SP episodes the past few years. I'm laughing my ass off at this. Combat's good too, but if you set it to hard, you REALLY have to get your timing down right, which can be tough with the enemy (and thus attack) variety.

What's also cool is the jokes aren't just South Park fanservice or funny one liners, they make a lot of fun of video games too. Going into random homes is freaking hilarious.

It has a really neat idea with how to fit everyone in South Park in without shoehorning them in. You make friends on a Facebook-type website and getting more friends lets you level up perks like taking less damage or getting more health from healing items. It's a neat idea that does a good job of encouraging side quests.

Also they know that putting in a lot of Randy and Butters is always a good idea.

Okay, this game is worth buying just for the abortion clinic. The most hilariously fucked up thing I've seen from South Park since Scott Tenorman Must Die.

I've kind of been gushing about this game on twitter the past couple of days... but here I go on here. I really don't mean to be hyperbolic or make snap judgments... but this really is one of the best games I've ever played. It's got source material I love, made by the people who make it. It has so much fan service and perfectly crafted humor and inside jokes. Its also a really fun game with a combat system that's sneakily deep and challenging. Not saying the game is hard, because its not... but the combat has a complexity to it that hits that sweet spot for me that makes me want to keep playing hours on end.

I haven't beaten it yet, mostly because I don't want to burn through it so quickly, but if it ends well it will move into my top-10 of all time, maybe even my top 5. It's the best game I've played since Persona 4.
