Got the platinum for Ni No Kuni! So now I will be starting Tales of Xillia, and I hope that pspiddy will join me on another flipping' adventure!

Re: Now Playing
I rented Tomb Raider for something to play on my PS4. It looks more definitive than ever.
Re: Now Playing
I bought Killzone Shadowfall on impulse with an amazon gift card I got for christmas. The campaign is really pretty, but its kind of boring. The multiplayer is pretty neat though. Anyone else have this that would have interest in playing some multi?

Re: Now Playing
I liked the linear campaigns of 2 and 3 in Shadow Fall. I also like cut scenes where I see my character, I hate when games tell an entire story from first person.
Multiplayer is pretty great but that's only if you get someone other than yourself who does spawn points. I'm literally the only person on every team throwing them out and it is the #1 essential ability in my opinion.

Re: Now Playing
Just played Broken Age. Really cool game. Kind of a steep price tag at $25... but you get the second act free when it eventually comes out. Great art style, voice acting and puzzles. And like all Double Fine games, it was pretty hilarious and charming as hell. The ending of Act 1 had that 'oh shit' moment that really made me want more. Its pretty short. It only took me 4 hours to get through it, but i was totally hooked the entire time.

Re: Now Playing
Almost finished Peace Walker, I've just got chapter 5 to do now.
- Peace Walker:
- One of the missions near the end where you have to gun down a fuckton of soldiers to escape the control tower was absolutely brilliant especially once the music kicked in on the final area. If Kojima is pulling off level greatness on a PSP then goddamn MGSV is going to be amazing.
Re: Now Playing
Peace Walker is one of those great games you forget about because it was on PSP. Soon I'm going to play it again before V comes out.

Re: Now Playing
It's a real shame the AI is absolute shit. They never notice you and never shoot at you, they're useless. I hope Kojima makes the boss fights less bullet spongy than MGS4 and PWs, they're annoying as fuck.
Re: Now Playing
The AI is completely stupid. I hate how I'd shoot their helmet off and they'd just sit there like "What the fuck just happened?" If I was walking around and my helmet just got forced off my head by an unseen force/presence I'd be getting the hell out of there.

Reviewing the latest PS1 import Lucifer Ring. It is everything wrong with 3D games from the 90's rolled into one god awful package. Expect a thrashing.

Re: Now Playing
It's a shame games in the last gen REALLY pushed graphics technology ahead leaps and bounds but AI isn't significantly better than what we had before.
Here's to hoping this gen will step it up.

Ya, there is nothing less immersive than:
"I SEE YOU IN THAT HOUSE!" yelled badguy one.
"Where the fuck is this guy?" asked badguy two.

Re: Now Playing
Well this is just fucking nuts. I'm playing Batman: Arkham City and I'm on a side mission to "rescue" Mr. Freeze from The Penguin but I've got to destroy 3 communications disruptors to bypass his security system. I've taken down 2 of them and the 3rd is in the subway section but I can't get into the subway (western entrance, which I read is the only way in) because there's a fucking closed gate in the way. I've went online looking at faqs or youtube videos and I haven't come across a single resemblence/solution of my problem. Is it a glitch?

I think I got that too...there's some obscure entrance somewhere that is NOT obvious. I seem to recall. Or...yeah, that sounds VERY familiar avid.

Re: Now Playing
I finished Chains of Olympus which felt worse than the trilogy in pretty much every way. Felt like a poor man's God of War. I played about an hour of Ghost of Sparta and that was pretty much better than the whole of CoO. Crazy how improved it feels.

This is the 360 version, by the way. I tried turning off the game and system and restarting it. The gate is still there. Now, I'm trying uninstalling and re-installing the game (which I usually do with games I play at great lengths on the 360) and if its still there, I'm giving up. It's a glitch that affects a major story mission so I can't ignore it. I'll probably trash the disc and buy the GOTY edition at some point (pretty cheap now at $20).

Re: Now Playing
That's so weird. I'm sorry, it's just been too long since I played it to properly remember. @_@ Wish I could help but I distinctly remember being stuck at one poitn because I couldn't access something in the sewers and found my way around in a very obscure (probably) unmarked thing.

That's okay. I didn't pay a lot for this copy ($7 I think) so it wasn't that hurtful an investment.

Re: Now Playing
I started up Metro: Last Light. I feel like this game could be great, but so far I have no idea what's going on despite the game holding my hand throughout most of the first two levels. Hopefully it makes more sense by the time it opens up.
It's nice to play AS the Russians for once, though

Re: Now Playing
for the love of god, stockpile ammo stockpile ammo and use 3 weapons that use 3 different types of ammo. It gets UNFORGIVING later on if you're not careful. Or I just suck.
Both are a distinct possibility.

Re: Now Playing
I just finished The Wolf Among Us Episode 2. I didn't enjoy it as much as the first episode... 2 felt really short. Either way, its a pretty cool series and a nice change of pace from The Walking Dead. I just wish it didn't run like garbage on the PS3. Lots of little graphical hiccups.

Re: Now Playing
The same thing happened to me with The Walking Dead about the graphical hiccups on the PS3. I just assumed it was bad game design.

Re: Now Playing
I mean... you could call it bad game design. I think the reason why is the game saves and loads at the same time and sometimes it can't keep up. There are points where it searches the save file to see what choice you made so the scene shows things that match up with what you did. I don't think it ever impacts gameplay... it just makes the beginning of some of the cutscenes look kinda wonky.

Re: Now Playing
Does it have any framerate issues? I bought the physical copy of TWD and it had framerate issues so bad that it was borderline unable at times.
Re: Now Playing
I never got any framerate issues. Just a lot of glitchy hiccups like Matt mentioned above. More like it would almost pause and then skip over something visually but the sound was still in sync. I remember when I played the PS3 version a year ago having these problems, and the same problems are on the vita.
