I took Spanish in high school and really enjoyed learning it at first. Except the speaking tests, being timed while talking into a recorder was just terrifying to me for some reason and I failed every time. And then my second year I had the worst teacher ever. He didn't really teach anything but just gave us a bunch of homework going over things we never learned in class. I hated Spanish so much after that. I do want to learn it again once I'm more confident in my Japanese skills. Because.. learning languages is what I do for fun.

And I'm super jelly of everyone who had Japanese classes in high school. I wish I had that option!

Windows 8 is awful. I used it as my primary system today and it cut my productivity to a 1/3. Seriously. I would have been better off just using my phone apps. The Surface Pro itself is a helluva piece of technology. But Win8 is a killer. It reminds me of when I was forced to use Macs in college. /shudder
