I've been complaining about moving and boxes and not playing games on here so I thought I'd update on that.

Charter internet is coming tomorrow, and Dish is coming today! Can't wait to get technology again. Luckily we live next to my girlfriend's mom and we drove over here for our dose of internet.

I went without electricity for a few hours Wednesday because of storms and I almost went Lord of the Flies. I'd turn Gollum if I had to go a couple of days!

My phone upgrade came in tonight. A Galaxy Note 2. It came pre-loaded with NFS: Most Wanted. It's actually pretty cool. I'll try some more games after I finish loading all my productivity apps. First app I loaded was Sketchbook Mobile. Works crazy well with the stylus. The phone is full of bloatware so anyone planning on getting it had best prepare to invest some serious time in customizing it. I'm still toggling options after 3hrs.

Fuck fuck fuck. PAX tickets went on sale Wednesday morning and 4 day passes sold out in minutes. All the tickets were gone within a few hours. There was no notice, no anything. Just surprise, tickets on sale, opps you blinked and they are gone.

I haven't been this mad about something in ages. I opened a twitter account just to keep track. I guess there was a ten minute delay between the website and the twitter announcement and that was enough to fuck people out of tickets.

I was in a fucking Queen's Bench trafficking trial that morning anyways so there was no way I could have known or grabbed a ticket. Meanwhile some fucking nerds had programs to alert them whenever a change is made to a website.

We already have our trip down to Seattle booked and on the biggest and best year ever to go to PAX... I don't have tickets because they are stupid cunts.

I know it's a long shot but doesn't anyone know of a way to find tickets or know of anyone with tickets to sell? Plan B is just beating up some nerd and taking his pass. We've always made fun of how these goofs waltz around all weekend 24 7 with their badges showing regardless of where they are in the city. Now it's like an invitation to mug them.

The Surface Pro is a MUST for artists and designers. It is what I've been longing for for over adecade. Side note- Windows 8 is the sorriest piece of shit platform yet. Unintuitive would be a gracious description. It's like they thought it up with "fuck you, idiots" in mind. Le sigh.

Turns out trying to learn a completely different language like Japanese is pretty difficult. Got the hiragana and the katakana down, so now I have some of the tools needed to climb the mountain.

It is indeed, really easy, still took far longer than it should have because I am a lazy fuck and katakana is the dullest fucking thing ever. The grammar side of things is fucking terrifying to the point I'm delaying it until my mate joins me in learning at the end of the month. I dipped my toes into a bit of that and was like "OHGOD. OHGOD DO I REALLY NEED TO REMEMBER ALL THIS. ;___________;." It's good fun though.

I'm glad I picked German as a second language... I haven't started yet, but I imagine it will be pretty easy compared to learning something totally different like Japanese

German was so easy. Not that I retained very much, but it was a good decision since it allowed me to focus on other courses. My good friend (Mein freund?) was engaged to a German dude so it made practice that much easier. It's a beautiful language. I'd probably Eddie Izzard it now and say the mouse is on the chair or some shit.

I took Spanish. I wanted to take Italian (I'm mostly Italian), but my high school didn't offer it.

i can speak spainish. Kind of i can't do it at random but i can understand when people talk it.

I don't know, I found Japanese easier than Spanish BECAUSE it was so different. You couldn't make the little parallels between English you had to just fully give up to it. Katakana and Hiragana are essential for pronouncing the language properly...it's the Kanji that will make you tear your eye sockets out.

I took Japanese from 7th grade thru senior year of high school. I am really bad at speaking it and I've forgotten a lot of the written stuff. I still know the characters and I can recognize the occasional Kanji... but I can understand it when people are speaking it. I really should pick it back up again, because its a lot of time spent learning it just to lose it... but that's, you know, work.
