Injustice: Gods Among Us Discussion

I had my eye on this game for awhile and today I found out that Power Girl got in by a fan vote and Hawk Girl was just announced and I was sold on it. Fighting like MK9 with characters i actually care about. It's looking great to me.
Anyways we can use this thread to discuss it and when it comes out set up game nights for it.

They just announced Hawk Girl and Sinestro. I'm really hoping to hear about Lobo soon. It's probably a longshot, but it would be so great - and Lobo seems like he'd fit with this game nicely.

...otherwise I'll just have to be The Flash.

Anyways the roster is looking REALLY nice, but I REALLY REALLY want to see Power Girl's model. Hopefully they release it soon. I'll probably be maining her, Harley, and Raven (though I'm 100% she's in yet)

I have to try people in fighting games before I decide who I main. It could be my favorite character ever but I can't force myself to use someone who doesn't click with me.

I know what you mean, but I really really want to main Power Girl. Here's hoping she can do good on defense. At least Harley looks like a good zoner so i should be fairly good with her.

Kay, you'll have to let me know what you think of the game. I really, really, really want to get behind this game but after the wreck that was DCvsMK, I'm hesitating.

@Bannen - Lobo would be awesome.

@Max: I'd judge Injustice on the strength of the new Mortal Kombat.

I doubt they'd revisit the hodge-podge of stuff in MKvsDC.

Yeah Injustice looks a lot more like MK9 than DCvsMK. It's even on a 2D plane as well. Which is great for me cause I loved MK9's gameplay I'm just not really a fan of its universe or characters, and this being with DC characters makes it tons better to me.

I trust NR with this after what they did with MK9. Though after MK9 I'm expecting this game's story mode to be really good. I didn't like the story that much but the way it was done was pretty damn excellent (I'm glad DoA5 took cues from it) Hopefully Injustice's turns out even better.

I'm def going to keep an eye on this game, I'm probably going to use Batman the most as my main, then Power Girl. Though I haven't heard anything on Raven. I want Blue Beetle in the game, the Jaime Reyes one. And this sounds stupid but my brother wants Booster Gold lol

I've always hated Booster Gold. He always came off as an asshat to me. The Blue Beetle, on the other hand, was alright in my book.

Booster Gold is an asshat. I wouldn't mind having him in to use as a punching bag in training mode though.

I spent a few hours with the demo today and so far I'm really liking it. They got the feel of the characters down really well I think (Well Batman, Luthor, and Wonder Woman anyways that i know of they are in the demo) The easiest way to put it is Batman's quick, and good at doing combos, Luthors slow and powerful with his giant robot suit, and Wonder Woman's a bit in between she's also good with juggles *snrk

There's 3 attack buttons weak, medium heavy, and a button that has a special effect depending on who you play as (Batman summons mechanical bats, Luthor puts up a sheild, and Wonder Woman switches stances.) The set up really reminds me of Blazblue if anyone's familiar with that. Pressing R1 lets you interact with the environment what happens depends on your character and whats around. Its neat what they did each character does things different. Like Wonder Woman has super strength so she can just lift up a dumpster and toss it at you but Batman has to grab it and push it across the ground.

Rounds are done like in Darkstalkers 3. Instead of the best 2 out of 3 rounds, etc. you have 2 life gauges, and they carry over. Also the supers are really cool, and very simple to pull off. After you get 4 gauges your characters icon will flash and then you just have to press L2 and R2 and make sure the attack hits.

There's more but the game doesnt tell you everything. In any case I'm excited to be able to play the full version when it comes out the 16th. The demo was really great.

Tried the demo, much better than I expected. I already know Batman is going to be my main fighter, and maybe Power Girl, but I have to see how she plays first. Other than that, it was really good.

They did really good with Batman. Pretty obvious he's gonna be top tier. The others were fun too, but Batman's the best out of the 3 though fighting against him is kind of hard lol

I just hope they add some lesser known heroes like Blue Beetle atleast. I love the characters so far but there's too many Batman characters, there's like 7 just from the Batman side, but it's to be expected due to Bat's popularity. Has anyone tried the demo yet? I played it a bit last night and I think its great. The characters all feel really different and it plays like Mortal Kombat, which is a really really good thing for me. I was gonna wait on this game, but if a bunch of you are getting it I may not be able to!

Going to pre-order this with the bday money I got. And yep the demo was great, my brother even played it and he's not even a Batman fan, so I know this game is doing something right lol Also, I really want those Arkham City costumes but I'm not going to drive for an hour just to pre-order at Wal-Mart, so GS for me.

I really enjoyed the demo even though I don't completely understand the controls. I'm not really in the position to pick it up day one, but I do plan on getting it.

Gamestop's DLC sounds better anyways you 20 missions and an alternate origin story for Superman. I actually really wanna try that out.
