Re: Rick and Morty Discussion
The premiere was great. The splitscreen thing was so clever. I loved when Rick broke out the whiteboard to show why they were both pieces of shit. And then Jerry picking on the collars at the end was great too.
Re: Rick and Morty Discussion
That episode was great. Show came back with a premise just as clever as season 1, hasn't skipped a beat. My favorite bit was Jerry explaining why his shirt was backwards and Rick's follow up joke.

Re: Rick and Morty Discussion
Another great episode. Jerry Daycare was a hilarious idea. I also love the idea that Rick forgot that Jerry was in the spaceship with them early on. Something stupid always makes me laugh on this show and this week it was Rick adjusting his seat after he got back in the spaceship and asking if Morty messed with it. Oh and Roy! And its sequel (I love how the subtitle was Dave)! Haha. So good. Was super obvious the fart cloud would be evil, but whatever. Great stuff overall.
Re: Rick and Morty Discussion
I agree it was obvious the far would be evil, but that didn't hurt the episode as much as I thought it would, especially since Rick's far joke at the end was great buildup. Jerry daycare was amazing too, as was Gearhead's rant about his real name and Rick replacing his gears with testicle gears

Is there a place to watch this show on demand? I've been looking for a new show to watch before all the fall shows start up.

Re: Rick and Morty Discussion
Hulu Plus has the first season I believe. On Xfinity OnDemand they have been rotating through having the first season too, but it seems the first two are gone.
The ending to this latest episode was really well done. I love that along with being as funny as this show is, they can do these really dark moments. Great song too.

My favorite bit was how the Jerry/Beth plot ended with the alien freakout. Also best use of nipples as a plot device since Rocko's Modern Life

Re: Rick and Morty Discussion
This latest one was my favorite of the season for sure. The premise was incredible. There were too many funny moments to recount. I thought the adjusted intro sequence was a nice touch. I loved Rick's catchphrase montage. Especially him just saying AIDS. Oh and the 3DS bit. Seriously just so many hilarious moments.
Re: Rick and Morty Discussion
That 3DS bit was so fucking random. My favorite gag was gay Jerry and Sleepy Dave. Who would you say your favorite parasite was btw? I gotta go with Reverse Giraffe personally.

Re: Rick and Morty Discussion
A reverse giraffe voiced by Keith David is hard to beat. Raptor photographer and ghost in a jar were pretty great too.
I also really loved all these things they did with the parasites. Like the intro for summer's flying lamb friend Tinkles. Or how Rick couldn't bare to kill Pencilvester. Or Frankenstein's monster saying he was on the other side of the pitchfork that time.
This episode was so damn good.

Re: Rick and Morty Discussion
This one was kind of a miss for me. It still had its moments, but as I said before this was a weak episode by Rick and Morty standards. The end scene with Ice Tea going back to his homeworld was pretty great though and I loved both of Rick's songs.
Re: Rick and Morty Discussion
The Rick and Morty stuff was kind of weak, but I enjoyed the Jerry/Beth plot even if Summer's change came from out of nowhere

Re: Rick and Morty Discussion
Bit of an uneven episode. Loved the Jerry/Beth plot, especially with Jim Rash's character, but the Rick plot didn't exactly work. It had good laughs, but they really didn't explain his mental state as Tiny Rick well. But that finale with his clones more than made up for it. And that vampire thing at the end was also great.

Re: Rick and Morty Discussion
I liked both plots, but the Jerry/Beth plot was definitely better. Still Tiny Rick's exclamations were really funny and the Elliott Smith thing and all the vampire jokes plus the clone slaughter made the other half hilarious too.
I never posted about the previous episode I guess which was really great. The miniverse stuff felt like a perfect thing to explore in Rick and Morty and Summer with the car was a riot as well.

Re: Rick and Morty Discussion
I still like Tiny Rick, but wish they would have pointed out how their explanation didn't make that much sense. And yeah, I loved the Summer plot from the last episode especially

Re: Rick and Morty Discussion
That Jerry plot was just brilliant. Was dying laughing the whole time. Also loved that it continued the improv, even if the novelty wore off a little. Jan Michael Vincent was probably my favorite

Re: Rick and Morty Discussion
I regularly cite "Rixty Minutes" as one of the reasons the first season is so amazing. It is one of my favorite episodes. I'm still impressed with the improv angle in this new one, but I just didn't think that many of the shows/commercials were that funny. I'd agree Jan Michael Vincent was the best one, but overall these weren't as memorable as last time's to me (Two Brothers, Ants in my Eyes Johnson, Real Fake Doors, etc.). I'd like to give it another watch though. Maybe more of them will stick with me. It might have just been the novelty wearing off as you mentioned too.
The Jerry plot was awesome though.

Re: Rick and Morty Discussion
I think part of it has to deal with the plot. Rixty Minutes was about Rick wanting to show them real TV which led to the Jerry plot while here they're using TV for something to do while Jerry has his own dilema. So the focus was more on Jerry now and less on the TV.Â
Looking back on it, I'd definitely say Rixty Minutes had stronger commercials, but between the eyeball cereal, conjoined newsman/chef, and "How'd they get there?" I found enough memorable ones.

Re: Rick and Morty Discussion
The Purge episode was quite good. I loved the part with the suits and the Tony, Toni, Tone song playing. I thought the stuff with Summer and Jerry felt a little half-baked for a B-plot (if this is even considered a B-plot, maybe just a few scenes servicing the main plot). Especially coming off such winners the past few weeks involving Jerry.
I loved the finale. As I mentioned before, this show is mostly amazing for how funny it is, but it really nails the dark moments and I enjoyed the final sequence. I didn't see the Tammy being undercover thing coming either. That scene was really great. I also enjoyed the three planets they checked out.

Re: Rick and Morty Discussion
I don't really see that Jerry/Summer stuff from the Purge episode as a B plot. It mostly seemed an excuse to have Summer's help not come from nowhere and that Jerry joke in the credits.
I enjoyed the finale a lot also. The cob planet especially had me laughing. Also loved that Mr Poopy Butthole returned. Hope it doesn't take so long for the next season this time.

Re: Rick and Morty Discussion
My point was more that it felt like a lackluster use of Jerry compared to the past few weeks.
Edit: Which season do think was better?

Re: Rick and Morty Discussion
1 definitely. Might just be that it felt more fresh, but more episodes there were Meeseeks and Destroy or Rick Potion #9 quality

Re: Rick and Morty Discussion
At first I thought maybe I was just scrutinizing 2 more due to expectations (and I likely was), but really looking back at both, I just think the first is better.
Re: Rick and Morty Discussion
So gonna assume anyone reading this is caught up (warning if you're not), but I have a theory for how Rick gets out of prison. Think they're going to discover Rick used Jerry's name to turn himself in and think Jerry did it so Jerry will have to break Rick out of prison to prove he didn't. Maybe even use the Meeseek box to do it.

Thought the last one was funny, but not their best stuff. Morty's attachment to his killer arm was great and Jerry was as hilarious as ever. Just expected a little more after all this time.

Re: Rick and Morty Discussion
This latest episode was a winner. Pickle Rick and Jaguar were amazing. I loved the little Jaguar splash screen thing that popped up at one point and the post-credits scene so much.
