They are both good movies. I feel no need to contradict you.

Also, I guess I see horror, at least in the "scary images that make me scared" sense as technical studies more than anything. It takes a very skilled hand to make a good horror movie, because it's less about the plot and more about manipulating all the aesthetic aspects to try and bring out that base flight or fight response in an audience member. So I love it like that.
