Top Five Horror Games
So top five horror games. You can decide what fits the genre on your own. As a bonus questions of sorts feel free to mention some other games that are good to play around Halloween or some levels in non-horror games that fit the horror, scary or just Halloween bill.

Silent Hill 3
Resident Evil 4

And I'm finally going to play the first two Fatal Frames this week too so I'll see if they're really so scary.

Amnesia gets an honourable mention for being the only horror game I can think of this gen that wasn't jump scare shit.
Spooky bits in nonspoooky games, sure there's been plenty but the one I remember the most is the mansion section in NIER. That entire section was fucking terrifying for me, probably doesn't help I was playing it in the dark because 2lazy4lights.

Re: Top Five Horror Games
1. The Last of Us - Not super scary, but always tense.
2. Resident Evil - I hate the spiders in this game. The controls made it scary.
3. Silent Hill - Only Silent Hill game I ever played, but I remember being really terrified all of the time.
4. Resident Evil 4 - Not that it was scary really, but I guess it was supposed to be.

Re: Top Five Horror Games
I think a horror game doesn't necessarily mean it's a scary game, just like you could say that Dawn of the Dead is a horror film even though it's not really that scary. More about the theme.

Re: Top Five Horror Games
RE4 counts? Okay, can come up with a list
1. The Last of Us- I was scared more than a few times at least, and damn this game was so good.
2. Resident Evil 4- Such a well made game. Not that scary, though the bit in the lab still freaks me out to this day.
3. Left 4 Dead- Much appreciated to Trip for reminding me of this.
4. Eternal Darkness- Probably the scariest game on this list. Damn great one too.
5. Dead Space 2- I mostly remember it for the great action, but there were a few bits in DS2 that really freaked me out.

Re: Top Five Horror Games
I don't play many horror games. I feel like these are horror even if not all survival/horror or scary. Right? Sure.
1. The Last of Us
2. Zombies Ate My Neighbors
3. Left 4 Dead (1 or 2... not sure which I preferred offhand)
4. Resident Evil 4
5. Dead Space
Bonus question: I really loved that Halloween demo for LocoRoco. Also the Halloween level in Puppeteer is awesome.
