GOG is doing limited time deals for a bunch of old games. They're doing one game for every year. Right now it's at 1991 (Wing Commander) and it'll probably be something else by the time anyone reads this

I've played the first level of Deus Ex and lost motivation for the rest. Controls were just a little too dated for my taste

What did you play it on? PC is the best platform. PS2 version is capable but a little wonky with the controls.

Hmm...but you liked Blood Dragon, correct? Also, the game opens up after the first level. I might have an extra PS2 copy to send to you if you want another look at the game. The game was insanely cheap so I literally bought every copy I found and gifted it to anyone I knew with a PS2.

Of course I would want recompense in the form of an indigo gamecube controller or something...

Deus Ex is worth trying again and again. It took about 3 attempts until it clicked and I finished it.

Confession time: while I've played huge amounts of Mass Effect 3 MP, I've yet to touch the campaign, mostly because I want to give ME2 another playthrough and buy some of the DLC for it before continuing on to ME3 and mostly because I keep putting it off due to distraction or neglect. Anyways, I picked up the Citadel DLC for $7.49, so there's that.

Super Mario 3D World is $40 @Target. Says unavailable online. Also note that I think they are having some sort of sale because the 3DS/DS and Wii sections had almost been picked clean. Or maybe I haven't been to target in a long time and the games section always looks apocalyptic.

I know Wal-Mart's value game section is non-existent. Takes time to rebuild after the apocalypse that is Christmas.

Grand Thefto Auto V is also $40 at Target, saw that in an ad today.

The STALKER series is 70% off on GOG. Comes out to $15 for the whole series. I've never played these games but I've heard some great things. Supposedly they're quite difficult, though

Shit like Face Off is in the $5 dvd bin @wally world. There's some good stuff if you don't want blu ray. Pulp Fiction in here too. I'm typing this so I don't get angry at fat lady and obnoxious kids. The dumb bin always has really great movies in it, if you don't mind watching on DVD. I put boxes of those away everyday while I work and there are shitters, but also great movies as well. Some classics that come to mind...

The Goonies, Forrest Gump, Dances With Wolves, Drive, The Departed, Good Will Hunting.

Around where I live, Wal-Mart always has the best prices in movies. If they don't, they'll always match another stores price too so you really can't lose. Not trying to talk up my workplace (because i do hate it) but it is the truth.

Saw that The Last of Us is $30 at Best Buy for those that don't own it.

The new Game Informer has some incredible Shinkawa artwork on the cover as well as in the pages. Worth picking up if you dig that kind of thing. And if you don't you should pick it up anyways and hit yourself over the head with it.

Dungeon Keeper is free on GOG. Even if you'll never play it, I'd grab it just to support GOG for being awesome and slapping EA in the face with this after that awful reboot they released for iOS.

Dungeons and Dragons games are 80% off and a bunch of multiplayer games are 90%, too

@Bret: The new Rolling Stone has an advertisement showing that there is an entire issue dedicated to Nirvana out right now. I subscribe so I haven't actually seen it or know any details about it. Just wanted to let you know. If you pick it up, let me know if it's worth tracking down.

I did see it at Wal-Mart and briefly looked at it while on break. It's quite pricey at $12 I believe, but it looks like good quality. Eventually I plan on buying it, so I better hop to it. Any article written by Rolling Stone about the band is stupid though, they might suck his dick now but back when he was alive they gave In Utero 3.5 stars, and that is just insane amounts of low.



I felt like sharing something you may have never heard. I know you like Nirvana too, and hopefully today you've heard a song by them that you previously had not. This song also goes by "Help Me, I'm Hungry" or "Help Me". And god bless whomever had the brains to record this. Because shitty quality is better than nothing.

The Art of Final Fantasy is $31 @Amazon. This is a beautiful book for display as well as for fans and artists. I cannot stress how much I recommend jumping. A few of us here have it and can attest to the quality. Jump, jump, jump.
