A reason why I try to play the first game in a franchise I'm otherwise not familiar with. Like the second game may suck which could put me off but what if the game that came before that is really good? Or it could be vice-versa. I do make exceptions though.

Origins is 100000x better than DA2. I feel bad you started with that one. I probably wouldn't have enjoyed 2 at all if it didn't have Fenris as a romance option...

Le sigh. The vote on steam for the community choice price cut went to Borderlands 2. I was hoping for Dishonored. Oh well. Next up is Sanits row 3, ME2 or Kotor 2. That'd knock them to $5, $6, $3.50 respectively.

Dark Souls prepare to die edition is $7.49. Should I jump or just get the PS3 version next time I see it drop <$10?

I think the craziest deal on Steam so far is the Tomb Raider deal today. 75% off for the new one and Legend, 91% off for everything else. That's less than one dollar for all but two games in the series

Most Tomb Raider have aged horribly though. I'd say just stick with the first three Crystal Dynamics ones. The reboot maybe to see what it's like, but I think that game would just bore you Aja.

I have to disagree with Greenie. The Eidos games haven't aged as well as other games, but for less than a buck they're a no-brainer. There's plenty of game to be had and they are still fun.

RPG Maker is now $25. If anyone else gets it, we could start a thread and discuss it. I plan on throwing myself into it. Because I don't have enough hobbies...

Thing about those games are, if you didn't play them back then I don't think you'd be able to appreciate them the same way someone who did will. If I didn't have a huge backlog which I'm sure everyone else with a Steam account shares then I'd say why not, but honestly, there's a lot more games I'd put time into before Tomb Raider.

The steam sales make me depressed cause I either end up buying shit my PC cant run or have no money and cant get anything. This year is the latter im spending 110 dollars on bad animu games next week so i cant. Which is probably good since i can run those games.

One thing about this Steam sale... I'm captivated by trading cards for some reason... ha. I sold the ones I got for about $1.50 total and now I'm using that to try and buy other cards to sell them at a higher price. I'm well on my way to developing a gambling addiction

I can't emphasize this enough. Game is a fucking masterpiece. You won't even have to endure the bad parts with the restoration mod complete. I've beat the normal version of this game around 14 times, that's how good it is. T-Wolf, Rainjar, Aja (know you own it, but you need to play it), and Neph I think would especially like it.

I've seen the KOTORs go for $2.50 each. But at $3.40 it's still a must buy for anyone who hasn't played it.

MLB 13 Vita is $10 @best buy. They also had some 8gb flash drives on clearance for $4.

Unfortunately, T-wolf, there is no Steam for books. Barnes and Noble usually has sales in their nook store. Get the nook app for your kindle to take advantage of the sales.

*edit* The flash drives mentioned were in store. MLB deal is in store and online.

Ok, here's a shady heads up that takes a little effort:

So, I pre ordered MGS Legacy from Best Buy online and was given a promotion to order Revengeance for $20. Free shipping was also included. I took Legacy and my invoice receipt to my local Best Buy and was refunded the FULL AMOUNT of the retail price.

They did not dock me for the promo. So playing the system netted me Revengeance for $20. So keep this in mind when shopping Best Buy online pre orders. Takes a little effort and these only show up a few times a year, but worth it.

Amazon has the Zelda Prima Game Guides coming out in August for 2/3 the price. Still hefty at $118, but nabs you one for OoT HD, WW, SS, PH, ST, and TP. Only going to be in print once as well and has a few other goodies. I went ahead and ordered it because I got the feeling it will be really valuable some day. Plus, nice guide for WW HD.
