Promote Your Blog or Website

At this point any plans to record one may involve a solo effort unless I can recruit someone. You seem to have the tv side down so I was thinking something film-related. Despite the technical hiccups, I enjoyed our conversations and would rather give it another shot. We could redo our Almost Human episode (which will be sadder this time) and a GOT episode would be fun (I would prefer it to be less rapey). Let's do something, though. Keep me posted.

Good to hear you guys getting a podcast together. I cant wait to hear how it turns out. I personally have been really lazy with editing my shows but I finally did manage to get up two new ones. Even though one was recorded quite some time ago haha.

Thanks Trip. I haven't been good at promoting them really. You might like episode 26. Matt and Casey joined me for that one. The other is a Dark Souls special which is very long and will only appeal to fans of that series unfortunately.

I still don't understand why we all don't start up a for reals gaming site. You guys are pretty spectacular as-is, but that platform would help you excel. Plus, I mean, involving me in editorials or chat would expand the vagina fanbase exponentially.

He's right, his beard would bring all the ladies to the yard. Then I'd scare them away. But then they'd just go running into spiddy's arms. It's the perfect crime.

Seriously though, you guys are pretty good at your respective endeavors, seeing you combine forces would be quite the thing. BUT on the other hand, it would turn into a job as opposed to something to do for fun.

I think Spiddy's just been watching too many superhero movies and is thinking that we need an Avengers style team up from our personal endeavors outside the club.

I think, in whatever capacity is legit, Trip, Greenie, and Avid would wreck shop as video games journalists. (Don't tell them I said that; Treat hoes like bitches and bitches like hoes)

That would be a pretty awesome combination of forces there. Wish I could afford to pay you guys to spend time writing for a site full time. And I'd get guys like pspiddy and krubixcube to be on podcasts.

Aw, I'm honored I even came up. I would actually love to talk spiddy's ear off. Why haven't we even skype talked...if you could call it talking. Would be more like...drunk yelling.

But of the journalistic writers I'd say Trip, Greenie and Avid do have us all pretty skunked.

Sometimes the only good thing about working long hours in solitude is that the mind wanders. Two days ago my mind wandered to the point where I've finally cracked the idea of what I want to do for my own podcast: what the name is, what the format will be. I could do it solo but I'd prefer guests, either from this site or from pixlbit.

I'm calling it The Past and Pending podcast and the idea is that myself and a guest talk about the arts/entertainment choices we've made (film, books, games, tv, music) but with a choice from the past and one for the present or a recent as possible (hence the podcast title). I'm always digging into stuff both old and new no matter what the medium (always playing catch-up) and it seems a lot of my friends do the same.

If you're interested in this, let me know. I'll need time to set whatever programs (or figure out the best/easiest way to record Skype calls on Audacity) up and manage time schedules. After the first week of June, my work shifts switch to days so until late August that should be easier to manage. I'm thinking about a bi-weekly release schedule.

Sounds cool avid. Killa helped me out with all the recording knowledge and I'm sure he'd do the same for you. I think it is best to use a separate Skype recorder program and then to drop the file into Audacity to edit. I believe recording directly from Skype into Audacity needs some crazy workaround. I could be wrong though. Again Killa will probably be of more help.

I'd try being a guest if you ever had an idea for an episode we could do. Maybe that will go better then me trying to be the host! I have yet to feel totally comfortable with that even ignoring the technical hiccups I ran into. I still hope to start mine up this summer at some point though.

Oh and if you are recording a solo show then Audacity is fine but if you plan on having guest I dont believe it will record their audio through Skype. Would have to use a separate program or have each individual record there own audio and mix it together. Both ways have different advantages but we can chat about that later if you want.

Haha. Took a step back on this one and let Ryon host. It was his idea and we ran with it. When we get back to the normal shows I will host unless the best host ever Matt comes back.

I appreciate any views/comments/likes I get on the actual site, but I just mostly want people reading it, so if posting them here as well makes that easier I might just do it. I have a YouTube channel now. Most of it is shared videos from my PS4 (some with commentary), some of it is emulated classic games. Most of my games will probably end up being classic arcade games, especially when Namco gets its classics running on PS4, as well as RPGs (of course) and fighting games. I wish I had more interest in the FPS's and MOBAs that bring in the big YouTube views. It's too bad Sony didn't make a new (proper) Fat Princess game for PS4, I loved that game on PS3.

I may also do videos about my gaming swag.
