Jesus, this feels like work but I'll be glad to have it when I'm done. So far I've listed about half of my collection. Unless I go through all of my music dvds and then I'm fucked. So besides The Weight Last Waltz I probably won't list those. (*edit* see, my brain is all ready fried from doing this for an hour)

I wish I could count the many dvd-rs of movies I've taped off of TCM, IFC or other movie channels.

I'm staying away from anything I may or may not have on DVD-Rs and may or may not have downloaded. Crash the world's economy, ruin the environment, war profiteering, and mass genocide are OK; Use alternative methods of viewing certain media and it's a crime against humanity with potential jail time for average people just getting by.

That's dangerous territory. I'm sticking with stuff I have on disc only.

Maybe we just joined at an influx of change for the back end systems that the site curators weren't prepared for. Honestly, that's all I can think of. I'd go into more detail but I think you get the gist. Maybe give it a couple of days to sort out the intricacies. If not, that was a whole lot of bad search engine scouring for nothin.

I like the theory that we broke it but I am also sad if it doesn't come back after putting so much effort into it.

For serious. I even made sure to tag my shit as uk if that's where it came from. And I even sent an update for my Best Buy edition of Brave that came with a lunchbox tin.

I must admit, I haven't been correctly tagging my UK DVDs. You sir, are a saint.

Right website's back and I've updated my collection but only with the stuff I could remember from home and hte stuff I have in Japan. I have more stuff back home but hell if I can remember it all.

Impressive, T-wolf. I'll probably finish up my list soon since I don't have much more to add. I gave away a whole bunch of DVDs to my mother-in-law and little brother when I started making the switch to Blu-Ray. It was less shit to move and gave me incentive to start replacing them.

What I really want to replace is all of my Disney, Pixar, Criterion, and Ghibli. But goddamnit if those studios don't know they can print money. I had the ENTIRE Pixar collection on order from Amazon UK for $89 bucks during a sale and they cancelled for some reason. I was so bummed out. And money was tight during the Ghibli and Criterion Amazon US sales so I missed those Hopefully those sales will go live again some day...hopefully...

*edit* I just want to add that it's funny how the UK version of the first Hrry Potter is "Philosopher's Stone" and it was changed to "Sorcerer's Stone" in the US. Because us 'murricans don't trust no voodoo-heeby-jeeby philosophering. But we're OK with magic. God I love studio execs.

They have all the Ghibli films out in Blu Ray here, so the transfer has been done they just need to get off their asses and steal it. Disney's awful with that stuff though. And the Ghibli blu rays here all have matching art work and are horrendously overpriced. Can't win. Asian stuff in general tends to either get bad releases, horrible edited releases, or doesn't get released at all. Then when it comes out in theaters, they cut 40 minutes out of it because it's too boring for the west (like The Grandmasters).

The thing I'm mad jelly of avid of is his In the Mood for Love blu ray. I got the DVD about 4 months before they released the blu ray. Still kicking myself. HOW IS 2046 not on blu ray though? One of my favorite films and it's so friggin' purdy.

Also didn't the name change for Harry Potter happen in the books? So blame the publishing execs I guess?
