Favorite Foods and Drinks

Just decided to start a random thread. Favorite foods? Favorite drinks, alcoholic or otherwise?

Peaches and unsweetened tea. Well, that's the last things I had. Pretty much eat that everyday so that counts. Some people like coffee, I like tea.

Alcohol: Crown on the rocks with a splash and a lime. Or draft Sam Adams.

I'm definitely more of a tea guy as well. I just don't like hot drinks in general and drink a lot of iced tea. Kind of a soda fiend too, love trying new kinds of soda. As for alcoholic, can only really drink draft unless it's Blue Moon, which is my favorite. Also love Dos Equis lager. More of a hard liquor guy though, love whiskey and rum.

This is the kind of thread the inner fatty in me loves!

Favorite food without a doubt is pizza. I could live off of pizza. I don't know if anyone has a Meijer store around them, but just had their self rising pizza today and it is delicious. As far as frozen goes I give it a solid A.

I'm with volvo on being a soda fiend. I can't get enough of the stuff. All time favorite is coca-cola from McDonalds (over the actual bottle/can), and like him I always enjoy trying new kinds. I'm the exact same way with chips, always try new ones I've never seen, especially spicy ones.

Alcohol I'm rather girly, I like Amaretto sours and fuzzy navels. I don't like beer, but continue to drink all different kinds trying to find one I like.

Bret is begging for a pizza debate. I'll start:

Thin bottom, thick crust, tomatoes, basil and olive oil instead of marinara, any cheese and meat you can throw at it, portabello mushrooms. Wood oven of course.

I try to stay off sodas but I'll have one every now and then. I love sweet tea. I live in Arkansas so of course there's a fucking Sonic in every direction/town and a Route 44 Sweet Pea Tea is what I always order. Mostly I drink water because dehydration (and kidney stones) fucking scare me.

I like coffee but that's always a morning thing.

Pizza is great and I always reserve that for weekends. Papa Murphy's is fantastic. There's a local chain called Jim's Razorback Pizza and they've made the best thin crust that I've ever tasted. Gusano's serves great Chicago-style pizza but I order it every 2-3 months, mostly because I'm sure a more frequent use would kill me.

We're kindred spirits normally pspiddy, but here is where we differ. I like a regular sized crust that has a slight crunch, but the inside is chewy. My favorite part about the pizza is sauce so I could never do the basil and olive oil. My sauce of choice is something that is tangy with a bit of zest, not a fan of the sweeter sauces. Toppings would be double pepperoni, green peppers, and ham depending on the type. That's my dream pizza. My favorite place is in Dodge Lake Michigan at a small place called Mr. Vito's. Favorite place around me is a little party store called Italian Village. I have a picture of a pie from there that I can post on here I just have to find it first.

I'm about to eat pizza rolls.

The pizza from Italian Village. The crust is bubbly and chewy and delicious. The pepperonis are different than normal. A little saltier, and they curl up and get a little crunchy, and they're smaller too. I've only had one other place give similar pepperonis.

As much as Buffy is seductively trying to get me to agree, Bret, I can't. Marinara is dipping sauce for pizza. When I order out I usually double up on the marinara, but we're talking REAL pizza. Also, OMFG THAT LOOKS DELICIOUS! Now I have to make pizza rolls to satisfy the urge. Bret, you're an ass for posting that. Trip, I hate you for facilitating this thread of gluttony.

@Avid- Water is my beverage of choice too. I drink sodas sometimes, but even then it's Sprite or something that doesn't feel like it's killing my insides with sludge(cue Greenie with a Slurm GIF). Same way I feel about coffee. I used to drink a TON of it -black- but it always gave me the shakes and made me feel awful if I wasn't constantly drinking it. Tea is a great alternative.

Good lord...my time has come. I LOVE FOOD! I spend more money on going out to eat more than anything else in a given month. Favorite food is hard to pin down.

I'm a burger fiend when they're well prepared, have interesting stuff. Love pizza. Big sushi/sashimi guy as well. Also Indian/Nepalese curries...I miss the takeout curry places in England more than I can stand. Pizza also good (I'm a thin crust kind of guy myself)...and....food.

As for drinks, I grew up in Colorado so we have microbreweries up the ass so my beer taste changes by the day. For liquor, I'm a fan of a good old fashioned, or any good cocktails involving tea.

I prefer tea to coffee but drink both.

I just started going to Papa Murphy's recently. Love that place, pizza's pretty good and I can get one with a 2 liter and cookie dough for $10. I'm definitely more than a burger than a pizza guy though. Whenever I go on vacation or go somewhere that's a bit of a drive, I always look for some burger place I've never tried before.

@spiddy- I don't do GIFs, I'm a YouTube fanboy. And YouTube is not supplying me with a good slurm video.

I really like pizza, strombolis and panzarottis. Usually just pepperoni sauce and cheese for me, but I also get ham in my stromboli. Also Chinese food.

Oh and candy. I love Mike and Ike's. And anything like that. Dots are good.

As for drinks. I pretty much just drink water and diet soda. I had quit diet soda for a while, but I'm back on that. I do really like soda and get something for fun other than diet as a treat. Vanilla Coke was one of my favorites. I don't drink alcohol.

Being that I'm from Michigan we call soda, "pop". I do still call it soda a lot though, which really annoys my girlfriend. My problem is I drink soda way too much. If I'm super thirsty I'll drink water, but usually I want something with flavor because it is more exciting. I drink coffee and I hate tea. I'm not a big coffee guy though, I normally only drink it when it's cold out and I'm tired.

Stromboli is the only food out there that might be able to beat pizza. It's so good, but I always get pizza over it. There's times when I like stromboli. What's this panzarottis you speak of? If it is similar to pizza color me intrigued.

When I eat candy, I tend to prefer sour fruity candies. Like sour gummy bears/worms, sour patch kids, cry babies, nerds, etc...

@pspiddy - Sorry for making you crave the pizza. It's something that is always on my mind.

Also, I hope heaven is Buffy Summers feeding me pizza and applauding me while I play Final Fantasy VII.

Panzarotti is kind of like a smaller deep-fried stromboli/calzone I guess. Basically dough folded over with "toppings," cheese and some sauce and then deep-fried. I may be missing some of the details because I order them and don't make them myself or anything. They are quite great.

Also I love Sour Patch Kids/Watermelons, gummy worms/neon crawlers and all that stuff too. So good.

I miss Pizza ;_;...and cheap burgers. *sigh*

That said, Japanese food is great and there's also thai food and korean BBQ in abundance here so yes and yes to that.

you people are making me hungry. I also have a fairly serious sweet tooth, which is probably why I like sweet drinks. Subsequently my teeth have had many problems over the years...

@Bret- It's just milk and ice cream.

@Trip- Stromboli is SO good. This "panzarotti" thing you speak of sounds incredible.

And now for odd stuff: I get raisinettes and popcorn when I go to the movies. Combined they are all sorts of salty, sugary, buttery, sweet goodness. What odd stuff do you guys dig?

There's this burger place nearby that has a burger with peanut butter, jelly, and bacon on it. It's not my favorite at the place, but I really love it, creamy, sweet, and salty at the same time. People always give me a weird stare when I order and eat it.

I love pizza, I'd gladly eat it everyday. I'm no pizza expert like Bret though. More than anything I'm addicted to sweets. I eat way too much chocolate candy. And ice cream. I've also been craving popsicles because of the hot weather lately. Yum ♡

I drink a lot of coffee. I don't think I can survive without it. Never cared for tea though. As far as alcohol, I rarely ever drink any. When I do it's usually some fruity slushy drink I picked because it was a pretty color :P

PB&J burger....mother of god. I've got a good margarita recipe if you want choco...

@Greenie- They stare out of jealousy. Not honey badger enough to recognize greatness when they see it.

@Choco- ice-pops are my go to during the dog days of summer. I'd dare say flavored ice but the wifey says ice-pops. Kinda like the whole pop versus soda thing. Friggin southerners.

I love pop ice! Your'e talking about the ones that come in the long plastic tube that you have to cut to start eating? Eating one of those is for chumps, I eat 4-5 at a time. Then by time you get to the last one it is a perfect slush.

Oh, and so I have a stand on burgers. I love burgers, but normally like the ones found at fast food more than restaurants. I'm not a fan of big thick meat (how erotic does that sound?). The skinnier the patty, the better in my opinion. For me personally, fast food has the perfect patty size.

Yup. I don't even care about the color. Green or red or whatever. Just put em all in my mouth (after the big thick meat).

I could suck them all day long.

I had a picture of these as well, but I can't get them to post. Oh well. Just go out and find them, and put them in your mouth and suck them.

Mmm, food. I'll eat practically anything that isn't seafood.

I'm quite fond of most burgers or pasta dishes, but I loooove perogies. Delicious. For desserts, a good Black Forest Cake is amazing.

Root Beer and orange juice are my favorite drinks. I don't drink much alcohol but I do like White Russians or hard lemonade.

Being Polish I've had delicious home made perogies! They're so awesome. Frozen ones don't even come close to comparing!
