I write a lot, I like it lots...kind of boring. Not as cool as vintage instruments.Â

I like buying Buffy related things, mainly comics.  If I had more money I'd buy action figures.  If you all want to buy me an action figure to kick start  that interest some more feel free.

I just play music. Guitar, Drums, Trumpet, and Piano. But I'm just starting with Piano and I'm out of practice on the trumpet. I mainly play classical or jazz, and some rock on guitar.

I play guitar as well, but I'm very bad at it.

Re: The Hobby Thread (beanie babies and such)
I write poetry and prose, used to draw. What i really love to do is sing. I want to pick up the guitar sometime too. I also dance too but I'm not nearly as good as I used to be haha
Re: The Hobby Thread (beanie babies and such)
I basically play on whatever I can, haha. All I can really afford for now is cheap or used stuff. For guitars I have my grandpa's old no name acoustic and an Ibanez electric. I like the acoustic and the electric is alright. I'm hoping to get a good classical guitar for christmas.
For drums I have a pretty basic used kit with a few things I added. Snare, two toms + a floor tom, hi-hat, crash. Later I added a splash cymbal that I found using a shoelace and other random equipment... I should probably set that up correctly. The newest addition is a 20" Meinl Byzance Jazz ride. It's a great cymbal

Well of course my main hobby is drooling over bishounen.Â
Other than that I draw and just recently bought a bunch of acrylic paints so I'm attempting that now. And I self-study japanese so I can import otome games and drool over more bishounen. I used to play the violin in elementary school and wish I would have stuck with it. I doubt I was any good anyway :/

Re: The Hobby Thread (beanie babies and such)
Hmmm... I have several hobbies, but they none that get a lot of time. Lifiting weights, watching sports, watching TV, reading, writing... those are kind of normal I suppose.
I kind of stopped collecting figurines and toys, but I still have them all and could start collecting again. I just haven't gotten a new one in a while. I buy and build Lego sets I suppose. That's about as interesting as it gets.
I have been working on creative writing in addition to the blogging this past year which is fun. That is new post-schooling I suppose.

I don't play guitar as much as I used to but I could pull out my Takamine Jasmine acoustic and knock out some Smashing Pumpkins acoustic numbers (easy ones, anyway) or some RHCP or a handful of others that I've kept in memory. I still have all of my internet downloaded tablature in 3 3-ring binders. I also have an Epiphone Jr. electric bass but no amp. Maybe one day I'll get it; it'll have to be the same day that I don't give a shit about annoying my neighbors.
I drew a lot during college but I still have all of my art supplies and plenty of sketch paper. I hope I'll get the inspiration some day to pick that stuff up and try again.

I play the drums. I always think of playing another instrument but then I figure I'd rather be really good at drums than average at a lot of things.

Re: The Hobby Thread (beanie babies and such)
Can't believe I missed this thread, good idea. Well other than games, I like drawing, be it video game stuff (mostly Nintendo) and I'm trying my hand at G1 Transformers lately.
I also collect some toys, like Hot Wheels but only the good cars from movies or games, like the BttF DeLorean and the Arkham Asylum Batmobile. I also started collecting figures, like DC and video game related ones for my shelf/desk thing. I can post pictures of my stuff later if anyone likes, just have to clean up a bit first.

I collect coins. I have a boatload of silver dollars (real 90% silver, now worth 30 bucks apiece just based on their silver content alone), a lot of other old pre-1964 silver coins, and even a few gold coins (an Indian-head $2.50 gold piece and a $5 1/10-oz bullion coin.) I got into it when I was a kid thanks to my grandfather. I've kind of fallen off the wagon but I still love old coins and would like to start collecting some truly rare and valuable coins.

Got a friend in Japan who that is his business actually, old coins and the gathering thereof. Shame I have no way of introducing you two =p

I collected coins too, well those 50 state coins, I even had an album thing for them. I never did collect them all, I think I collected about 30/50 of them. I even had that gold coin with that lady on it, all I know is that she had a funny name.
I also used to collect Pokemon cards, I had alot of rare ones too but I mostly bought the cards to play against my friends. Don't have em all anymore but have most of them.

Actually, I'm teaching that guy I mentioned earlier English...for the purpose of collecting coins so I have questions for you...about like...websites and terms and stuff. Please.

Re: The Hobby Thread (beanie babies and such)
I blog, keep a personal journal, draw, paint, sew, garden, photograph, play games, run, and from time-to-time collect action figures I like. My favorite piece right now is from FFIX, as I bought it for $35 and now it retails over $150! I kind of wish I bought 2 now, though.

Re: The Hobby Thread (beanie babies and such)
Bret - agreed.
pspiddy - I like them for display, as well... but I lucked out with my Vivi action figure as I didn't have time to take it out of the box before I found out how much it went up in value. There was a set of Chrono Trigger figurines that I wanted to buy but they sold out too fast and now they're worth so much money. I'm not surprised, of course, with how awesome that RPG was.

Re: The Hobby Thread (beanie babies and such)
I was at the book store and they had Funko Pop figures of Arya Stark and Jon Snow. Probably going to go back and get them to go with my Dany one. I haven't bought any new figures in a while (tried to cut back on that sort of spending), but they are just so cool.
