Dragon's Crown

There's really not any spoilers or anything since the game is the epitome of loot grinding, but I figured a thread would be good regardless. So general discussion in now playing and strategies and such here.

I hate hate hate that Luck is for crits instead of rare drops. There needs to be an industry standard where Dexterity is crit and Luck is loot. Luck potions work do for loot though. Laaaaaame.

Citation needed on that since all I can tell from playing is he blows up less. Even the digital manual is vague on certain things.

I pulled the ultimate dumbass move just now: Had an A sword with 4 or 5 ? slots of varying length and sold instead of appraising. Doesn't matter much at the level but still sucks.

I know that going back through I get a better score from, well, being better and that affects the end level loot. But the chests seem random.

Example: breaking a wall or whatever and going to a 'hidden' area usually yields better grades. I'm not far along though so I may be full of shit.

Also, what's your dude at? Mine is 25ish so he may not have hit the good loot threshold. /shrug

That would make sense if the loot didn't scale to the player character. Like if you have a max toon running a max thief on the first level it would still give appropriate loot for a low level. But it scales.

Like I said though, I'm barely into the game so who knows what the hell multiplayer unlocks.

I unlocked multiplayer and branching paths for dungeons. Decided to go chain some dungeons to see what that is about. Got my ass kicked pretty good.

My random start dungeon was Lost Woods. It was standard until I got to the end of path B where a killer bunny (I shit you not it's straight out of Monty Python) gave me my first death of the game. Or first lost life rather. Funny stuff.

Anyone else unlocked multiplayer yet?

I havent played that much yet. How long before you unlock multiplayer?

It happens after you clear the 9th stage/quest/mission/thing. You get a prompt/message upon leaving the town about having online and ad/hoc available (whether you leave town by the gate or by the stables).

Hey, looks like the latest patch for Dragon's Crown allows cross-play between PS3 and PS Vita. How 'bout it, Vita owners? Anyone up for a game night?
