Now Watching: Scream Movies
The only one that I could think of that might join me for this little adventure is Trip, but not sure if he has the movies on DVD or blu-ray and I'm almost positive they're not on Netflix but I could be wrong. Watched the first one last night. I consider these to be summer movies, not Halloween movies.
The first is my favorite, then second, then 4th, and then 3rd. If anyone has seen them and wants to discuss them but not watch that's fine too.

Re: Now Watching: Scream Movies
I have the first three on DVD (never upgraded them) and 4 on Blu-ray. I might be down to try and watch these if I have a chance. I'd at least discuss them. Why do you consider these summer movies?
Re: Now Watching: Scream Movies
They always take place in warmer weather climates, and there's never really any Halloween type decorations anywhere or a look of fall. Also, school's almost always about to get out it seems as well. There's movies I watch all of the time during Halloween season, but never Scream movies because they just feel like summer slasher films, like Friday the 13th.

Re: Now Watching: Scream Movies
I'm still going to watch Serenity, I just move at a snail pace because I'm watching them with Lindsay and she's always falling asleep despite liking them. I have 2 and a half episodes to go, and I say half because like always she fell asleep.
I love the Scream movies (third one not so much though just because it butchers what happens in the first movie). I think part of it might have to do with growing up and always loving the classic Scooby-Doo episodes, having a mystery and a bad guy in a mask. This is the same principle, only stakes are much higher. The first time I watched it and I was trying to figure out who the killer was was so much fun, and you're either right or wrong, but rarely ever do you get the "motive" right, which every killer always had. I was a teenager when they were out, so the writing was hip and funny, and you loved the characters, especially Randy (oh Jamie Kennedy, how you have fallen). Me and my best friend would write down the lines and recite them on the bus on the way home from school, bought the mask, and just watched the hell out of them. People look back on their teenage years and don't really like them, but I loved them! And keep in mind I didn't conquer "the vagina" until my senior year and I was 18 years old. Just sitting in my room watching awesome movies/television shows, playing fantastic PS1/2 games, and scoring goals in soccer. That was the life!

Re: Now Watching: Scream Movies
I might watch Scream 2 tonight. If not that, some cheesy looking horror movie from Netflix. September 1st - November 15th is horror movie time, so I try to only watch horror movies this time of the year. Should probably watch Scream though, since it still feels summer out and like I said before, they don't feel very Halloweenish to me.

I've only seen the first 3. At some point, I'll comment in length about my thoughts about those. Short version: the first two films are pretty solid; the third....it's like they said "who gives a shit? we don't!"

I enjoyed the third movie, until the very end and the reveal of the killer. It was like a big fuck you to the first movie and the awesome little twist it had at the end. Up until then I was really enjoying it. Still I watch it, but I do so begrudgingly.

The ending in 3 is definitely my least favorite part. Second least favorite part, Courtney Cox's hair. Nice bangs.

I'm watching the 3rd movie now. I'll probably edit my comments if I think of anything to say. Feel free to join if you guys can put down Destiny.
#3 bad thing about this movie...Creed song in the background.
Damn! Those bangs. Who let her do that?
I do love the music they use for Deputy Duey.
Seinfeld is mentioned, that's a plus!
When Sydney's having her nightmare about her mom, that's probably the scariest moment of all of these movies. Especially when she just turns and looks at the camera. Sometimes the scariest monsters are humans.
So they mention Seinfeld, but cast David Puddy? Guess being a mechanic didn't work out for him so being a bodyguard is the next best thing.
I really do like this movie up until the end. Whenever the two "Gale" characters are together it's good fun. Randy's scene is classic. But the ending, man, just ruins everything.
