Re: Now Playing
I liked using cheats in the GTA games, it was always hilarious when my cousin tried to use them. This one time, my cousin had to start Vice City from the begining, and he used the tank cheat, the tank didn't appear. He got out of the car and it fell on the car he was supposed to do the mission with and failed, it was hilarious. And one time my other cousin (my cousins big brother) was wanted by the cops and he was on the tank, he was so dumb that he got out of the tank and got arrested as soon as he got out. Freakin' hilarious. And then he used the tank again and used the cars hovering over the water cheat, hoping to go in the water, he went in but never came out lol

I used to cheat to get weapons in GTA as well and start awesome rampages.

Re: Now Playing
if i ever use cheats it completely ruins the game for me and i can never play it again. it applies to pretty much any game. It just makes them not fun.
Re: Now Playing
I don't use cheats either, I only used them in the GTA games when I got to use my cousin's PS2. Because messing around was the only reason I even had fun in those games.
On a thread related note, been playing SSX for the first time and I'm having a blast. And been playing Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, so much fun and it's funny.

Re: Now Playing
Tried out the Soul Sacrifice demo, and thought it was pretty great, but I don't know I can see myself losing interest in it halfway through, but it's still really good. I'm a bit undecided still.

I feel like causing an uproar, so here goes: Metal Gear Rising: Revengence is both the best Metal Gear game since 3 and the best one with Raiden.

Re: Now Playing
Using cheats and going on random killing sprees and chases accounts for I'd say like 80% of my GTA playing.

its better than 2 and I still think while 4 had a lot of good things about it it was still a huge mess. So I'll agree.

That's like being the best Star Wars with Jar-Jar.volvocrusher wrote:I feel like causing an uproar, so here goes: Metal Gear Rising: Revengence is both the best Metal Gear game since 3 and the best one with Raiden.

Summer time is here! To reward myself for end-of-exams I got the Journey Collection and Bioshock Infinite.
Bioshock's pretty cool. I think I'm finally getting the hang of FPS's.

pspiddy wrote:FYI: I couldn't get my save from the Soul Sacrifice demo to transfer to the game. This could be user error, but a heads up anyways.
*edit* OK, it's user error. Do NOT delete the demo before you install the actual game. Otherwise you're a dumbass like me with lost save data. Hooray for my ever-present stupidity
All data for digital games for vita is saved directly to the games data. You delete it you lose it. I learned that with Atelier Totori+ myself ;~;

How is Soul Sacrifice? I'm thinking I'd like to get that game.

Re: Now Playing
The worlds of Ragnarok Odyssey and Monster Hunter appeal to me more, but the combat in SS looks better than the gameplay for Ragnarok (tried that demo, but it just seemed kind of repetitive). Not a fan of the demony look of SS, but the gameplay looks fun.

Re: Now Playing
I'd try the demo, but I have 39 mb free on my 8 GB card. Sometimes PS+ is a curse. I don't really like Ninja Gaiden and I already got the platinum for PS All Stars but for some reason I can't delete either of them (I'd free up over 4 GB if I did). Lowering the price of memory cards is a must.

Re: Now Playing
I know, it's shitty we complain about free things, but it is so hard to keep up with everything they give you. I've got tons of games I haven't even tried yet because there just isn't time for it. At the Wal-Mart I work at they have a 16 GB card on clearance for $45, which is $15 off. I want it, but it just pisses me off knowing I can get a game for that price.

Re: Now Playing
They've always matched prices, they just don't do a great job of matching online stores. If you do enough bitching, I'm sure you'll get your way, but it is mainly for local competitors. To be honest though, if the price match isn't unreasonable we're supposed to just match the price. Example, if you came up to me and said "Sly Cooper Thieves in Time is $20 at Best Buy, but I don't have an ad." Even though the game is normally $40, we're supposed to just do the over ride. I protect my own ass though and almost always ask for a manager because I don't need to get fired over something stupid like that. It might be a shitty job, but at least it is a full time job. Whenever I call over a manager though, because they don't like dealing with people, they almost always give them the price unless it is outrageous. I'm sure other Wal-Mart stores aren't as easy going as mine, but you never know.

Krubixcube wrote:Planescape Torment is really cool. It's like proper D&D storytelling. That said, very very unique setting, I like it. It's funny that the more modern games can do graphically and aesthetically the less care they seem to put into world building/writing. I can examine ANY NPC in this game and they each have a unique description attached to them. It's really cool.
The setting and the dialogue in that game are so amazing that despite it's horrible combat that I could never get use to it's still a must play for anyone who cares about stories in video games. It's also great how there's so many different things and ways shit can happen that people will just end up playing through it completely differently, and it's done x100 better than any modern game.
What skills you maxing out?

My step-dad has been playing God of War Ascension, but he doesn't like puzzles at all and the game seems to be full of them. He's had me take over and do each one for him and I find it funny that a God of War game has more interesting puzzles than the new Tomb Raider did. Funny and sad...

Re: Now Playing
Been playing The Walking Dead...REALLY good so far. Very much playing it in a "well...I'll make the decisions I make" way, not the "I'm going to check the guide to find the ideal choices" way because I feel it makes it much more tense. That said, there's a puzzle now that I can't figure out any way to solve it but I'm worried if I don't someone might die. TENSE!

Re: Now Playing
I got Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen, and have been playing that. While far from perfect it's been pretty great. It's like TES with more interesting combat and exploration. Everything else is still boring but killing stuff and wandering around is so much fun. There's a bunch of climbing and minor platforming which adds so much imo.
Also my character's a cutie <3 playing a Sorcerer btw
Bad news is I was up till like 4am playing it again and evidently i'm working Saturday mornings instead of nights like I thought so ugh. I have to leave now.
